Who am I?
My name is Art (that’s me and my beautiful daughter & wife below ), I live in Portugal and I’m lucky enough to say that today I’m making a full time income online.
I started making money online in 2007 and back then I was doing mainly translation and proofreading jobs. I did ok but after about two years I realized that there’s a ceiling to what I’ll be ever able to make that way, since I was exchanging my time for money… It wasn’t very high and that’s why I decided to move on and look for something that I can make more money with and a lot quicker.

I tried many different Internet Marketing business models but nothing seemed to work for me… I was jumping from one thing to another, never really mastering anything and making barely anything at that point!
Fortunately, after some time I managed to put my mind into it and finally did figure things out on my own… I’m treating the money I lost in the process as an investment in myself – I’ve really learnt a lot, mainly about things that Do NOT Work 
Fiverr was one of the sites that I’ve stumbled upon back in 2012, I tried it and it worked almost instantly! I’m still making money with it today. I have to say – it is one of the easiest and fastest ways to actually start Making Money Online with Zero Investment!
Since it was launched back in February 2010, it is growing and expanding each year – just recently Fiverr bought their first TV commercial. Currently it is listing well over a million services and it is ranked in the top 200 websites in the World!
Ok, enough of the introductions – let’s jump straight into this Money Making Method!

What’s the story?
Long before I started my full time online business, I was simply looking for a way to make some extra cash online (aren’t we all at some point?).
I’ve opened more than a dozen Fiverr accounts, selling different gigs and trying to see what works and what doesn’t.
Of course Fiverr initially pays you (only) $4 per sale so the key is not to spend much time delivering the gigs, right?
The problem is that you need to provide value to the buyer and nowadays many of the Fiverr sellers (that you’ll be competing with!) are willing to put in a lot of time and effort into their Fiverr Gigs, especially the ones from countries where a few dollars can really make a difference!
Fortunately there are ways to Cash-In Big, even with what would seem like small commissions on Fiverr 

What did I discover?
There are certain types of gigs that are in Huge and Constant Need! If you can see that a particular gig is being sold by many people and they sell hundreds or even thousands than that is most definitely a good path to follow.
The best thing about Fiverr is that if you’ll set it up right, it takes only 2-3 minutes to deliver some of these gigs!
This means you can make an easy $30-$50 a day doing this, while being at home and working whenever you feel like 
Not only this – because there is such a High Demand for these Gigs, the buyers are coming back over and over again for more!
In the next chapter I’ll tell you exactly what will we be doing and how to maximize your profit and minimize the time spent at the same time.

What we will be doing?
Short answer – we’ll be delivering Taglines & Slogans to our buyers! Now, don’t worry – you don’t need to be super creative to be able to come up with slogans for businesses – we’ll be using a Free Tool which will do it for you!
All you’ll have to do is copy-paste all of the taglines created and send it over to your buyer – That’s it! 
More and more people and small business owners own websites and blogs nowadays… That is a perfect opportunity for us to jump in and provide them with an amazing Tagline/Slogan which will make their business stand out from their competition.
The amazing part about it is that;
– often times people own more than one business,
– they’ll recommend you to other small businesses that they are dealing with,
– they’ll come back to you each time they’ll start a new project or business!

This gives us an opportunity to make much more than $5 off each and every client – we’ll also discuss different strategies on how to maximize the profit from each and every buyer that will decide to get a Tagline/Slogan from you!

Let’s start…
Account Creation
The best way to break into successful selling on Fiverr is to create an account that will be focused on one certain type of gigs.
Many people just sign in to Fiverr with Facebook account, create random gigs in different categories and hope for the best… We will do it the right way!
So we will have to create a new Fiverr account and name it accordingly to what we’ll be doing…
Note – if you have an existing Fiverr account with your name as the nick, you’re good to go. However, if you have an account that was clearly being used to deliver a certain type of gigs (like writing or whatever) than you should consider opening a new one!
Try to look for names like ‘yourname_marketing, ‘marketing_with_yourname’ or something similar.
Don’t get too specific here because you can use the same account to do other writing, social media and marketing Gigs!
Naming your account this way will actually help you to rank better in the Fiverr search results!
Also, make sure that you mention Taglines and Slogans in your Bio (this will also help you to rank you better) and make it attractive by adding a nice profile photo (photos of cute girls work very well here).
In the description make sure that your future buyers will feel that you’re an expert in the field.

Gig Creation
The three main categories we will be creating Gigs in are ‘Business – Branding Services’, ‘Writing & Translation – Business Copywriting’ and ‘Writing & Translation – Creative Writing’. You can also create Gigs in ‘Business – Business Tips’ and ‘Business – Other’ for more exposure by basically creating the same Gig but wording it differently and using a different image.
The first thing that people will notice while browsing Fiverr is the photo you’ll choose for your gig so it really needs to be something that stands out and is eye catching! I experimented with a lot of different options but what works the best for me (for any type of gig by the way) is a photo of a cute girl.
It can be something like this (I created it in Paint in 2min!):
You can find a ton of these on Google but make sure to search using the ‘advanced search’ option and choosing ‘free to use, share or modify, even commercially’ pics.

If you are creating many versions of the same Gig (and you should) it is very important to word both the title of the Gig and the description differently (plus use a different image) from the Gigs you already have created. If you won’t, Fiverr will remove them and there is a chance they will only do so after some time (just when they’ll notice it) and you’ll lose all your Positive Feedback from buyers which is Essential for achieving success on Fiverr!
When creating a new gig make sure to add the keywords to the title, throughout the description and also in the tags.
Also add the word ‘Fiverr’ a couple of times in the description of the Gig (by writing something like ‘If you are here on Fiverr because you’re looking for an amazing Tagline or Slogan for your business, then you are in the right place!’ etc). Again, by doing this, your gig will be ranked higher in the searches.
When it comes to delivery time, I suggest this: Always deliver in 24h – it takes 2-3 minutes to create 10 taglines and by delivering fast you’ll get a competitive advantage over anyone else that is selling a similar Gig.
If your account is brand new than your focus should be to get ten 5 Star feedbacks from your buyers as soon as possible.
When your account will be 30 days old, it will automatically be promoted to ‘Level 1 Seller’!
As a ‘Level 1 Seller’ you’ll be able to add ‘Gig Extras’ to your gigs and that’s where you start making much more profit (up to $85 per gig!).

So once you are a ‘Level 1 Seller’ you can add more options for your buyers that they will pay extra for.
What you can do is simply offer more Taglines/Slogans and charge more for each set of 5 or 10…
Your next goal is to become a ‘Level 2 Seller’, which will allow you to charge even more for Gigs!
More ‘Gig Extras’ and even more money that you’ll make per gig – up to $325 per Gig!!!

As you’ll see in the next chapter, the websites we’re going to use, creates slogans and taglines in seconds… In the beginning I’d advise you to offer at least 10 taglines for $5 but when you’ll get some initial feedback from buyers, you can easily start charging $5 for each one – this way you will make much more money per order with no extra time investment if someone orders more than one tagline 
In the message to the buyer simply ask them about the name of their business and the field of wok that they do… some taglines will work better than others for certain businesses!
To take this to the next level you can create multiple Fiverr accounts but remember that each one will have to be connected to a different PayPal account – if not Fiverr will freeze your accounts!
Just to make it easier for you to start I’m including a sample headline, description and tags!
Please DO NOT just copy and paste these! Be a bit creative and make yours different and unique – that’s how you’ll make all the difference in your Fiverr business.

All you need to do after you get an order is go to one of these sites:

1) Enter the name from your buyer in the empty field,
2) Each time you’ll press the ‘Create a slogan’ button the site will come up with a different one – create 10 that will match the company of your buyer,

3) Copy all of the slogans into a .txt file
4) The only thing you have to remember is to make sure that the slogan actually matches the business of your buyer – the delivery file is ready! 
As I promised – the whole process will take you 2-3 minutes and you don’t need any special skills whatsoever! 

Delivery & Promotion
You got your file from the previous chapter ready and all you need to do at this point is send it to your Fiverr buyer.
Now when you’ll be delivering the gig there are a few essential things to do that will skyrocket your sales:
– Always give a Free Gift to the buyer! Make them feel like you are really over delivering! Some people offer a second Gig for Free, a Gig Extra for free but I like to do something different – give them a Free eBook! You can go to Master-Resale-Rights or Plr-Private-Label-Rights and buy a few of these for $1-$2 apiece. Why a few? Because if a buyer orders more than one Gig you want to give him a different eBook each time! The eBook can be about anything but it would be nice if they could actually use it – your buyer is a busy person who is looking to grow their business – give them a book about Social Media, SEO, getting traffic or anything else that could be useful to them  HOW TO MAKE EVEN MORE MONEY? If you are buying

a PLR eBook you can legally put your name on it and edit the inside of the book. Add a few relevant affiliate links to products that they may like and if they’ll buy anything you’ll make money (100% Passive Income!). You can find many different products to promote on ClickBank, JVZoo and Warrior+ but I’m covering it in greater detail below…
– Fiverr just recently added a Tip option on delivery! After explaining to your buyer whatever you need when delivering, say something like ‘If you feel that I did a great job feel free to give me a tip – I’d really appreciate it’. Many people will do nothing but the ones that will decide to leave you a tip will increase your income with no extra effort on your part!
– The most crucial part of the gig selling process is asking for Positive Feedback! You want to avoid negative feedback like fire so drop a line like ‘If for whatever reason you’re not satisfied with my delivery, please let me know and I’ll fix it for you ASAP!’. You also want the buyer to leave a 5 Star comment but if you’ll simply ask, only around 50% of people will actually listen to you. That is why we will bribe them! Add a line saying ‘I’d really appreciate if you’d leave me a 5 Stars review – if you will I’ll send you another Free Gift!’. Of course if they do you simply send them another one of the eBooks you’ve bought to give away with your gigs  If anyone will leave you 3 stars or less just give them a refund (the feedback will be automatically removed this way) – this will make you

more money in the long run as people are more likely to buy from someone with a 100% Positive Feedback.
– If you did everything right you should be getting new orders from the organic Fiverr searches but you can also promote your gigs outside of Fiverr. There is no point in investing any money in it but you can definitely take advantage of the free tools – Facebook (focus on fb groups – there are even special Fiverr groups created especially for Fiverr users, where people are both looking for gigs and promoting themselves), Twitter (tweet the urls to the Fiverr gigs you want to promote with a short description), LinkedIn (both status updates and groups) and Forum Signatures (this is a big one, especially if you are active on different forums!)
– If your account is brand new you might need some initial feedback to rank your gig… You can learn all about it inside Fiverr Instant Ranking Blueprint but for now, let me just give you a quick advice… There are different facebook groups where you can find other fiverr sellers that are willing to exchange gig reviews with you. They buy your gig, you buy theirs and you both leave a 5 star review – simple and easy. Now it’s up to you if you want to use this method or not but if you do, than here are a few links to these groups:

Why You Need an Author Platform
So what is an author platform? Put simply – it’s your audience as a whole, the people who pay attention to you on a regular basis. It’s slightly more than that, however. It’s also the technology you use to communicate with this audience:
– The books you write
– Social media (Facebook, Twitter)
– Email lists
– Blogs/websites
In essence, it’s how you consistently drive traffic to your books, without needing to beg/borrow/steal/pay for it from another source you don’t own. The key words here are traffic, consistency, and ownership. You own the platforms (your Facebook page, twitter account, email list, blog/website, etc.) and the audience listens to you.
This means you can make sales of your new books without relying on anything else. You release a book and then email your list, post on your blog, and send a message via Twitter, having hundreds or thousands hitting your new book page. What happens? Sales.
But more than that, those sales come in consistently because Amazon see’s the success of the book. Your rankings increase, people find you via keywords and “also bought”, and other
avenues through Amazon. It’s a cascading effect that explodes your book income.
Now, I know that this flies against the natural instinct to “just write books and upload.” It sounds like work, right? I mean you have to build this platform, manage it, and maintain it and who has time for that?
Luckily, you do. Why? Because it takes less than 5 minutes a day (if that) to build this up. And why less than 5 minutes a day? Well, the way you’re going to build up this platform is natural.
As you release a book, you’ll use free and cheap traffic sources to pull people into your platform through your book. In essence, you’ll only make a few changes to what you’re already doing. These changes are minor but add up to make a huge impact! Each book you release builds your audience and within a few book launches you’re making thousands as you promote your book to your audience and add more people to that audience.
Are You Tired of Having Inconsistent (or No) Sales? Feel Like You Have No Control over Your Book Promotions? Then Pay Attention…
(Warning: Rant and tough love coming! If you are fully committed to promoting your books then you can skip this section. If you still want to just “write and upload”, then this is for you.)
You know…I hear it all the time and I’m sick of it. I hear indie authors complain about lack of book sales. So I ask a few a questions:
– Are you building a list (or better yet, an audience with a blog, list, and social media)?
– Are you promoting your books?
– Are you doing anything other than just putting them on Kindle?
The usual answer – no, no, no. So the next question:
“Why not”?
– I don’t have time.
– I don’t know how.
– I don’t have money.
– I just want to write.
“Uh huh”. So you’re telling me that you don’t have any time to make (more) money on the effort you put into writing the book? You just spend loads of time writing for…giggles. If you’re not making any money on your efforts (and I assume you want to be), then you’re wasting your time writing.
The honest truth is this – the amount of time needed to promote and build up an audience is WAY LESS than the actual writing. You only need a few minutes a day to make it work. So why not go
the extra mile? You’ve already put in the time making the book, spend a few more minutes helping yourself make money with it.
Of course, you might say you don’t know how. I say “hogwash”. If you don’t know how, then take a few minutes to educate yourself.
Let’s think about it – right now, at your very fingertips, you have access to the total and complete expanse of human knowledge. Anything you want to learn or know, you can. Usually within minutes and completely free.
Don’t know how to work Mailchimp (email list provider, we will talk about it more later)? YouTube results:
I spotted several full blown multi series courses covering Mailchimp and that took me all of 3 seconds searching YouTube. The same goes for anything else you need to learn. There is no excuse. If you don’t know how, then change that. Learn how!
About 60% of my programming education came from YouTube. Same goes for my music composition training. Then of course there is the books I ordered online. And marketing training I’ve read (for free from blogs/videos) and stuff I’ve bought.
But no money? You don’t need money.
– Mailchimp is free for the first 2000 subscribers. And guess what? With 2000 buyers, you can make 4,000 bucks a month or more. With a free mailchimp account!
– Blogging is free. Get a free wordpress account and use that for your author blog.
– Facebook/twitter is free.
– Of course uploading and using Amazon, Nook, IBookstore, and other platforms are free.
– And I’m going to show you several low cost and free promotion platforms that will send you traffic!
Okay, but you would still rather just write and collect the money? So would we all. :/
But let’s drop that perception right now, shall we? It’s not going to happen. How about we look at this guide I’m writing right now. Sure, I could just upload it to my website and that’s it.
No one will buy it. No one will know about it! So I just wasted my time. Why bother if no one is going to share in the experience of your words?
Unless you’re writing for pure pleasure, which I doubt (because you bought this guide and you upload your books to ebook sellers such as Amazon), then just writing and forgetting isn’t working.
So we go back to the beginning. By just adding a few minutes of promotion to each book launch, you will start making money and you’ll be future proofing your book launches…by, gasp, I dare say…turning this into a business?!
I want to apologize for what appears some beating over the head. I know that not all of you needed to hear this, but some do. I have a lot of authors on my list that have excuse after excuse why they can’t do any more than a tiny amount of promotion. Let’s change that!
Let’s start today – if you want to be free of the job, if you want to finally make writing a fun and full time experience, giving you the freedom to be your own boss, then now is the time to commit to it.
The Platform Building Strategy
Let’s begin building reliability into your book selling business. This strategy I’m going to cover is simple and builds your platform with each and every book you launch, from now until the day you die. (Or stop writing books)
The strategy is actually rather simple. Let me draw you a pretty picture.

You launch your book at 99 cents. (After gathering reviews) You then utilize the free/low cost traffic sources to bring traffic to your book.
At the beginning and end of the book, you include your platform information. In short, where they can sign up to follow you.
In the past, I would recommend an email list almost exclusively. I still do recommend an email list and we will cover that, but I now think it’s wise to also include “easier” ways to follow you that doesn’t require giving away an email list.
Twitter and Facebook are super simple. They click a button, like or follow, and that’s it. It’s less commitment than giving out an email but still allows them to follow you. Ideally, you should focus on moving them up the chain, getting them on an email list eventually.
In fact, you should get them to sign up for everything they can.
– Facebook
– Twitter
– Blog RSS Feed
– Email list
In this way you can hit them multiple times. You can email them, send out a Tweet they’ll see, a blog post notification, etc. The more
times they hear your message, the more likely they will come and buy!
You probably also noticed that each launch you want to send people back from your platform to your book. That should probably be a given.
This Strategy Constantly Increases Your Platform Size
Every time you launch a book, your platform increases. More people are added to your audience at each launch since you are bringing new traffic in as well as using your current platform to make more sales.
The result is a rapidly growing business. The only limit to growth speed is how fast you can release your next book.
Alright, so now you know the basic strategy, let’s start covering the nitty details.
Pen Names, Book Series, Genre’s, Fiction and Nonfiction
So we’re here at the starting point and there is already confusion, I can sense it!
“How should I organize my pen names? Genres? Book series? Do I build a platform around a pen name, a book, a series of books…what?”
This is a great question – how do we build our platform? The problem stems from the great flexibility books and the way we categorize them.
This is actually easy enough to solve once you think about it. A platform is built around an author. You. Well, sort of you. Your pen name in the niche or genre that you operate in. That pen name might be your actual name or not, but regardless, you build your platform around you, the author, and your pen name.
I organize everything like this:
Fiction -> Sci-fiction/fantasy = 1 Pen name.
Nonfiction -> Romance Help = 1 Pen name.
Nonfiction -> Business (This niche) = 1 Pen name.
Each one has a different pen name and each audience/platform is completely different from the others.
One platform for my fiction books. A different platform for my nonfiction romance/relationship help. A different platform for my business/kindle help and each with their own pen name/author that the platform is built around.
To me, this makes the most sense and is the easiest to organize. That way, if I write a series of books (or even multiple different series) in one niche/genre, I can promote it to that single platform.
You will note that I don’t mix platforms or pen names. There are several reasons for that, some due to business organization and tax benefits. However, the biggest reason is to lessen buyer confusion. For example, my platform for fiction books knows if they get a message from me about a new book, they know without thinking that this new book would interest them. And to be honest, I want people to love me to the point they purchase without thinking! (And so do you)
This is how I recommend you set up your pen names and platforms. If you write books in multiple, widely different niches (nonfiction biographies vs. kids books, for example), then separate them via pen name.
Starting Point: The Book
Now that we have the pen names and platforms out of the way we need to dive into organizing promotions based on books.
As you already know, each book is promoted and the buyers are added to your platform for future promotions. Now, the next question is, what about book series?
It doesn’t make much sense to do individual, outside book promotions to books in the middle of a series. If you pay for book promotions or do free book promotions to middle books, then you have new buyers coming in half-way through a series and that will be confusing. (Unless you write each book in the series as a standalone – which takes place in the same universe but not the same story arc/timeline)
So how do you drive new traffic to this series?
This is where promotion funnels come in and there are all sorts of ways to do this. I’m going to recommend two methods, the free lead and the low priced lead. Before I explain these, however, let’s define some terms.
Lead or Front End: The book which a new reader is introduced to you.
Backlist: Other books in the same genre/niche that get sold to your platform. (Note: Some or all of your books on your backlist could be their own lead! Why? All of your regular buyers are part of your platform, but an individual buyer, who we’ll name Bob, only came in from one book lead. Bob bought To Kill a Zombie, but didn’t know you had Alien Invasion, which is a related sci-fi apocalyptic book. To Bob, Alien Invasion is part of your backlist.)
Funnel: The process of taking your platform and promoting your backlist.
Series: An arc of related stories. From a marketing perspective, the first book is your Front End that you promote heavily, while the next books in the series are the backlist or the funnel.
Event: A reason for running a new promotion. Typically the introduction of a new book.
So here is how this works – say you are a new author who is writing a book series, Zombie Flesh, and you are going to have 3 books in the series:
– Zombie Flesh
– Zombie Flesh: Regurgitated
– Zombie Flesh: Digested
Zombie Flesh would be the lead book. Obviously you would promote that book when you launch it. But what do you about book 2 and 3?
If you promote book two to brand new people and they buy, they are jumping into the story a third of the way in! And that’s no good.
But you want new people to come into your platform at each book launch, even if they are in a series. How do you do this? Simple. Do a series tie-in.
So as you launch your second book, you would also lower the price of the first book and do another round of promotion for that book while also mentioning that book two of the series is also available.
In this respect, the first book becomes a low priced lead. The next book in the series becomes the event – the reason for doing another promotion for your first book. Then, of course, you promote Book 2 to your platform, because you know that most people in your platform probably own Book 1.
This is your funnel. Bring people into your book series from book one, then promote book two and three to your platform.
Promotion -> Book One -> Platform -> Book Two/Three.
Of course, another way of doing it is offering Book one as perma-free and constantly be promoting it regardless of the launch of your next books.
If all this sounds too complicated, just forget it and simply promote your first book in a series every time you launch the next book, letting people know that book 2/3 is also available.
Make Sure Your Book is Found
Yes, even though we are promoting our book with the resources I’m providing here shortly as well as to our platform, we still want to optimize our landing page so that it is found inside Amazon. Those are free buyers Amazon will send you and they will join your platform, so to neglect this is to leave money on the table.
I’m not going to go into detail here, because this has been covered a million times. If you want more information, this is an excellent product on the topic.
You want to make sure your book can be found before you launch. Use your primary keyword in the title and description.
For fiction books: “Zombie Flesh: A Post-Apocalyptic Survival Story” (Assuming the keyword you want found under is “post-apocalyptic”)
Nonfiction: “How to Flirt: A Shy Guy’s Guide to Flirting” (Assuming the keyword is Flirt or Flirting)
Make sure the book cover is professional looking and fits the genre well. It’s the first thing people searching sees and will grab their attention.
Of course, I recommend you get a few book reviews first. If you can, five to ten verified reviews before you launch will go a long way to helping you sell, assuming they are positive reviews.
This is pretty much it for the book itself. Let’s move on to getting traffic.
Grabbing Traffic – Stage One of the Strategy
Alright, from here on out, it gets really easy. The hardest stuff, organizing your plan, is out of the way. The rest is simple and by the time we’re done, you’ll be ready to dominate!
Right now, I’m assuming you are starting from near nothing. You might have a book or two finished (or in the works) but are without an email list or social media following. So we need to get those!
In order to do that, we need to sell a book and get those buyers to join our platforms. So the first order of business is getting exposure and sales for our book and we are going to cover that here.

For indie authors, I have found nothing but raving reviews for this service. It’s completely free and they will promote your book if you follow these guidelines:
– Your book doesn’t suck
– You price it at 99cents (Their biz is centered around “books for a buck)
– You join their affiliate program.
That’s it. If you follow those rules, they will work in a promotion for your book.
They are growing incredibly fast, due to their genius business model. You join their affiliate program and you promote them. They then promote you. Since all authors are also affiliates (who make a dollar per email sign up), their email list is exploding in size. (Notice I emphasized email list…more in the next chapter)
Considering they are:
– Free to get into
– Have much lower requirements than BookBub
– Pay authors affiliate commissions to send subscribers
It won’t be long before they overtake BookBub. Yes, they will overtake BookBub as the king of promotions, and I hope they do soon.
They can send hundreds of sales, as seen by the many success stories, which you saw some of the on the sales page for this guide.
This is just one of the starting points. Get a promo in with them, get hundreds of sales, and build your platform.
#2 Resource: Author Marketing Club Free Submission Tool
They call it a “tool” and an “app” but it’s really just a list of the top book promotion sites that don’t require payment, gathered in one spot for ease. Just click the logo and enter your information.
Between these two resources, you have enough to begin building your author platform. But we shouldn’t stop there, as there are a load of affordable promotions you can run for dirt cheap.
Paid Resources
In my opinion, paid resources are far better than free resources. Yes, those above (especially BuckBooks) can send you hundreds of sales in just a few hours, for free, there is only one problem. Competition.
By paying a small bit of money, you remove 60 to 80% of your competition and have far more control over your promotions than just relying on good timing.
Now, I know. Paying for promotions might seem like a lot to ask for. But if you are now feeling the “ugh, I don’t want to pay for anything” vibe, I suggest you reread the first chapter.
Or, if you would rather not do that, then I’ll sum it up again here.
So you are saying you don’t want to invest 5 to 10 bucks in promotions to help you get free of your job and make writing your full time profession?
Yes, just 5 to 10 bucks, and no, I’m not talking about “Facebook ads” or “Google ads”. I’m talking about Fiverr gigs and low cost book promotions from promo sites. These are the ones that email their list about your book, which can send dozens or hundreds of sales to your book quickly. (Noticed I emphasized email list again…think I’m building up to something?)
In any event, don’t be afraid to spend a few bucks to promote your book. This is money well spent (and not a lot of money either) because these people aren’t just buying your book, they are also going to be signing up to your lists, following on twitter, liking your fan page and so forth.
#1 Resource: Fiverr
There are a ton of fiverr gigs that help authors become a success story. Here are a few I recommend. (Note these gigs have either been tested by me or I’ve found others who have used them successfully)

While this is for free days (an excellent strategy if you are brand brand new), it’s an excellent gig.
Another free or perma free promo:
There are others, of course, but those above are the top gigs that have worked for me and others.
#2 Resource: Book Sites
These are website that are affordable. Which, to me, means the least risk involved. I don’t want you dishing out 400 bucks (*cough* BookBub *cough*) if you are first starting off.
ENT (Ereader News Today) – Almost 5 years old and responsible for the success of hundreds of authors. Their prices are a bit higher than I would like for an author starting off, but they tend to be worth it.
Price List
Twitter promotion service. I’ve seen some successes with this (though I’ve never used them, yet). While they seem to be spendy, one look at what they offer shows they are super cheap. With a twitter list of 550,000 book buyers and readers. 49 bucks gets you 70 tweets per day or 59 bucks gets 7 tweets per day for a month!
I would coordinate a free or low priced day (no more than 99 cents) and utilize scarcity to get better results. (Only available Free/99 cents Until XYZ)
This site is rarely talked about but is usually highly considered among those who pay for promotions. In other words, they tend to get results. On top of it, they are very affordable! Basic package is 20 bucks and the top package is 35.
Building the Platform – Stage Two
The traffic needs somewhere to go, and for our purposes, the target is your book.
Now, you could send traffic to the platform first – an email landing page, your twitter, blog, etc. And there are good reasons for doing this, but we aren’t going to focus on that. Instead, we want buyers to join our platform.
It’s more than that, though. In order to join the platform, they must do something else besides just purchase.
1. They must open the book.
2. They must click a link.
3. They must either enter their email or agree to follow or like.
These extra actions weeds out people who are not as enthusiastic about us and our books, leaving us the hardcore fans. So while you might send 1000 people to your book, only 5 or 10 will join your platform from every one hundred buyers.
Now, that might sound discouraging. But don’t let it be. Those 10 people will buy just about every book you release. And each book you release, more people will join your platform.
That adds up quick.
If you have 5 books in a genre, and each book sells about 500 copies a month (which can easily be done in most niches if you actively promote your books like I recommend in the last chapter), you will have sold close to 30,000 copies in a year.
That should result in about 3,000 people in your platform. And most of those people will buy each new book you release! Can you imagine selling 1000 to 2000 copies of a brand new book upon release?
You’ll be launched with super high book rankings (top one hundred best sellers), causing even more sales to pile on, which of course adds to your platform.
It grows rapidly with each book.
Platform Book Placement
We want people to join our platform. To do that, we need to link the various platforms in our book.
For simplicity, I recommend Twitter and an email landing page.
I love the how simple twitter is – link to your page and they click “follow”. The barrier of entry is low and it takes no time to follow you. Then you can tweet a message and your followers see it. Place the link in both the front and back of the book.
You also want a way to people to give you their email address. If you use Mailchimp then you can set up a landing page hosted by them.
You will want to place that email link in both the front and back of the book. Provide an incentive to join – for example, extra content or help with their problem. Or if the book is fiction, extra content about one of the characters as bait to join.
As your traffic grows, so does your sales and so does the followers/subscribers.
The Power of Email
I’ve mentioned email marketing several times. In short – if you aren’t doing it, then you’re missing out.
Email marketing lets you send an ad for your books (or other books) to your email list, which in turn makes you more money. Email marketing is flexible and smart. It’s a valuable resource that you can turn to at any time and make money with it.
It allows you to:
– Promote your books and sell a ton up front. (Amazon likes this and will promote your book if you hit enough sales early on, which is easy with a list)
– Promote other books and related products for affiliate commissions
– Have other authors pay for ads to promote their book
– Leverage your list to gather attention from other authors so they promote YOUR book (in hopes of you promoting theirs).
As you can see, the benefits are large.
“But Rob! I hear that email marketing is dead or dying!”
People have been saying that for years. I remember first hearing it in 2009, over six years ago and email marketing is still around and still super strong.
The benefits of email will allow it to carry strong for many years. Some people think Facebook and other social media will destroy email. The thing is – email has advantages over social media.
– Email and email clients keep mail better organized. Messages and posts inside Social Media are not.
– Emails are more personal and private.
– Email messages have no limit on length, you can embed media into email (images, audio, and video), and you can attach anything to them. Not so with social media.
– Email requires no “setting up”. Social media requires you to fill out a profile, have a picture, and more.
These are just a few reasons why email isn’t going anywhere!
Email Signup and List Maintenance
This is probably the biggest stumbling block that is holding most authors back from really exploding their sales. The question of…
– How do I build an excellent email landing page?
– How do I keep my list happy?
Luckily, the solution is not as difficult as you might think.
List “maintenance” is all about emailing them. Send them emails about your products, books, others, opinions on the marketplace and anything that can help them.
That’s it.
Seriously. Email them.
A lot of guides have all sorts of suggestions regarding email times, quantity, quality, size, etc…I’ve found this one thing to be true:
If you email your list regularly, they will pay attention. If you stop emailing them, they won’t.
Don’t get caught up in the minor details. Yes, if you do things “perfect”, you can get higher open and click rates, along with more sales.
But if you gather these people from your book sales and they are a fan, they’ll like hearing from you. So just email them daily if you can, let them know about you and your books. They will enjoy the emails and buy more!
Stage Three – Profit
Now is the time to profit. You have your book, you have your traffic sources, and you have your platforms gathered – Twitter and Email (and possibly others).
So now is the time to profit and grow.
The first small order of business is moving people from Twitter to email. Twitter followers can be a powerful resource, but in an email list, it’s much better.
So one of the first orders of business is to get people from your Twitter list to your email list.
This is easy – again, offer something of value in exchange for an email sign up. Build a landing page with Mailchimp and send the link out as a tweet.
You will get people who will sign up! That’s what we want – moving up the promotional chain.
The Promo Chain
I call this the chain because it’s like a chain. Each chain link is a more powerful promotional tool.
Here is what it looks like:
– Twitter: Easy to get people to follow because all they have to do is push a button AND they don’t have to give you the trust of their email.
– Other social media: Facebook and others. Similar to twitter.
– Blog: Also easy to get people to follow. I recommend that you send people from your twitter list to your blog.
– Email: The most powerful but also requires the most work to get into. Unlike just “clicking a link that says follow”, the user has to actually trust you and then type their email into the box. This means email will convert the least – but the people who join are the most passionate of followers.
Your goal is to get people up the chain, first by starting off at Twitter or other social media and working your way up.
This is also why I suggested Twitter as the first link in your book. While you can also include an email sign up newsletter, you give people the choice of Twitter meaning you will get more sign ups.
If given the choice between Twitter or no way to capture them at all, I’ll take twitter all day long. While not as powerful as email, you still have a chance to message them.
Multiple Modalities
If you have people on a Twitter list, Facebook group, blog, and email list, then you have the chance to hit them up through multiple channels.
I heard a while back that it takes a person 7 interactions with you before they purchase something. That may or may not be true – but I do believe that it’s true that the more they see you, the more inclined they are to buy.
Imagine this: your audience sees a tweet from you, then gets an email from you, then sees an ad on Facebook…what do you think they are going to do?
An increase the chance of them buying for these reasons:
– Those who wanted to buy your book but forgot will now do so.
– Social Proof: Seeing you everywhere will translate to “important” in the eyes of your prospects. It’s like branding – you are etching you and your book into their mind.
– Some people pay attention to some channels over others. Some may not bother with Facebook but will see you in their email. Some may not pay attention to email but will notice your tweet.
This is why I advocate having as many platforms as you can. Social media, video, email, etc. All these are important for visibility and owning mental real estate of your customers mind.
So work on building up all your platforms, while funneling into an email list – you won’t regret it!

Q: How much does it take to get an email list going? Isn’t it super time consuming both to set up and manage?
A: To set up? Minutes. Places like Mailchimp and Aweber you build your own landing page using their system. If you build your own, there are tons of tech to help speed the process along.
There are wordpress themes like OptimizePress, ThriveThemes, InstaBuilder and tons others.
If you don’t want the hassle of building a landing page yourself, then there is LeadPages.
Management is simple. How long does it take you to write an email or two a day? That’s it, really.
I mean, sure, there are other things you can do, like cleaning out old useless leads, and working in an autoresponder funnel, but those are usually one time or once in a while things. Most of your management is simply sending an email!
Q: Okay, I’m convinced. What email provider should I go with?
A: Mailchimp is free to start, just realize that they don’t like affiliate marketing, so don’t send emails with affiliate links in it.
Aweber is an industry standard and so is GetResponse. There are others, though, and some can be quite expensive. If you are just starting off, just go with Mailchimp and later on you can move to Aweber once you are ready to start mailing as an affiliate.
Moving over to Aweber is simple – just upload your list from Mailchimp.
Q: So I’ve given this a try – and it didn’t work. I didn’t sell very many copies and I’ve only landed a few people on my twitter/email list. What now?
A: Just a warning – if you think I have a precise answer for you, you’re going to be disappointed, but the real answer is easy.
Try again. And again. And again and again and again. Keep trying until you land a success.
I’m not going to sugar coat it. You’re going to have flops. Maybe more flops than successes, but that’s the nature of all business. Some products will do exceptionally well, others won’t.
If you rundown my products, you’ll see this mix:
– About 20% flops
– About 20% huge success
– About 60% “average”
Standard bell curve. Since 20% are homeruns, I want to get through flops and averages. So I work on creating more stuff and selling it. It’s that simple.
The other reason is learning and experience. As you experience flops and then successes, you’ll start to discover what makes each different, and you’ll begin to develop a formula for success that works for you!
The good thing, though – even if you flopped and only sold a few copies and only put a few people on your list…that’s still not a total flop. You still gathered leads. You might have even made a few bucks.
Build off of it! Start mailing to those 4 people you added to your list. The next time you create a book, those 4 people might buy immediately…which is like guaranteeing sales! That might push your rankings and this next “flop” adds 20 people to your list.
See where I’m going? It’s okay if this process takes a bit – but if you keep at it, in under a year you’ll have a viable book selling business!

Whereas Bingy1 is essentially a trick to get your site to the
top of Bing in days using a 301 hack and buffer, Bingy2 is not.
Bingy2 is a white-hat common sense approach which is made
possible by the initial impact on Bing… If you like; we could
say “riding the wave” or “Exploiting the Impact”
But all you really need to understand at this point is; Nothing
we do in Bingy2 is going to land you in hot water with
Google… it’s safe and above board!
Number 2:
Expectations… The object is really to saturate and dominate.
Lots of small, seemingly insignificant posts based around long
tail phrases may not draw huge amounts of traffic alone… but
through saturation they have a compound effect… Authority!
Step1: Content
How and where you source content is really down to
personal choice… however it doesn’t have to be a laborious

task. In fact, now that your blog is established on Bing you
can actually use other peoples content.
I know; perhaps that sounds underhand but it is completely
acceptable providing you abide by TOS… It’s called curating
For example; YouTube videos, Press Releases, Article sites.
My best advice is to find content you can use and add a new
post title… preferably one which will rank quickly…
Upshot: The funny thing is… because your site is highly
targeted to a specific niche, and because it made waves on
Bing you can often curate content from others and almost
immediately rank above them. Sounds crazy but it’s actually

Curating content to fit your niche / blog is easy, its quick and
it works.
You can do it in seconds; you can throw up two or three
posts every day when you’ve got a spare couple of minutes.
And, once you’ve done that on your site, then you can link
back to your hub post or link to wherever you like.
Curating content will allow you to scale your site into an
authority quickly for traffic and profit.
Use long tail phrases… change the title of the posts or
content you curate.
Although not essential checking competition for phrases will
help you dominate quicker.
Use heading tags in your post… chose them well as you can
and will rank for them too.

Step 2: Google rank content
Now, I’m sure most of you already know that Google actually
rank content rather than sites.
So bearing that in mind, it’s important to concentrate on
each post. What I mean by that is, you put the post on your
site and then periodically link to that post.
You don’t need to do this with every post, personally I try to
do it with one post each week.

So, you’re basically building backlinks to posts, rather than to
the main URL or the top level.
How to build the links?
Check out the recommended Fiverr gigs in the member’s
area, they are both safe, effective and personally used by me.
($5 each).
Alternate the gigs between different posts.
Doing this will actually push specific posts up in Google for
that long-tail phrase and that will happen really, really
You’ll find that each little piece of content that ranks will pull
in organic visitors.
Not huge amounts but because it ranks at the top of Google,
or on page one of Google, then you will see organic visitors
drawn in.
The combined effect of this is; because you’re getting organic
visitors from all kinds of phrases, then Google starts to see

your site as an authority in that specific subject and that
means you’ll start to rank quicker and quicker as you put up
more posts.
Doing this (backlinking specific posts) is completely optional,
but if you do want to build your site into a small authority
site quickly, that Google looks favourably then, go ahead and
do this because you will see some fantastic results.
And, the more you do it, the quicker those results will start to
Now, the last thing to remember about the long-tail
approach is it will impact on certain search engines in
different ways and at different times.
So, whereas, we were able to rank this site (case study) and
perhaps your sites at the top of Bing using the 301 trick that I
explained in the main course.
The long-tail post-process is going to work better inside
Google initially.

So because you’ve already got some traffic coming to the site
and you’re posting user-friendly content, then Google are
going to rank those phrases quicker.
Possible quicker than Bing will, so you get the best of both
Step3: Q & A
One of the easiest ways in which you can start to rank in
Google is through question related posts.
Q & A style posts are really important because these are the
kind of phrases that people are going to enter into Google.
I will say that posts like this won’t get a ton of searches, but
these phrases will rank incredibly fast and more importantly,
because of their nature they will captivate any visitor looking
for answers to that specific question.

Where to find Q & A content…
Basically, you just head over to Yahoo Answers (there are
other options but this is the one I use). Put in the main
phrase, and just work from there. It’s really, really easy.
Just take some of the better questions, some of the more
long-tail questions, and then, base your post around that.
Personally I rewrite the posts based on the Q & As I find, you
could do the same of simply curate
Step 4: UNA
UNA – Ultimate Native Ad: Okay, so, in the original part of
Bingy, we talked about linking everything straight back to a
sticky page, The Hub page; I.e the page that does the selling.
Now, that’s great and it works remarkably well and you will
get sales from that, but what I have found is; Not everybody
that comes onto your site is necessarily going to be in a
position or going to be ready to purchase right there and
then, and not catering to these visitors is a huge mistake.

So what can you do? So what
you can do is; you can
actually add them to an
autoresponder list, and then

With that being said, I am going to show you how to use the power of Bing ads to harness traffic back to your website that converts into leads and sales.
Now I am going to assume you already have a website of some sort. And maybe you tried advertising this website on Bing or maybe not. But I am going to show you exactly what Bing looks for in order for you to get:
 High Quality Score
 High Ad Relevance to your website
 High Click-Through-Rates (CTR), Which results in lower Cost-Per-Click (CPC)
 High Converting Leads, and Converting Those Leads Into Buying Customers.
Let’s Start from the top:
1. You need content. Bing will ban your website right away if your website has very little content. Bing likes for you to have clear, and to the point content that directly correlates to your keywords that you are bidding on. With Bing, relevance is always key.
So here is the format that I had discovered works the best with Bing Ads:

As you can see from the layout, you got your headline at the top.
Then some text opening up the dialogue of conversation which is an introduction to my headline.
Then I got a video, which is optional but I have found through various testing that a video in between content converts a lot higher because most people like to watch the video then read your content and some like to read and watch. So this way you are serving both of your audience.
Then I have 1-2 more paragraphs talking about what I am offering them on the next page if they optin.
This is a biggie. You always want to have a optin landing page first. You never ever want to sell something on the front end for various reasons. You always want to capture the lead and then sell them something. You will have some people who will buy right away, and others who you get them to buy later through email follow-up series. Now this is not an email marketing course nor a copywriting course, but I am sure you get my point.
And as usual, I always have my optin form at the end where after they optin, I send them to whatever content I promised them which is exactly like what I did with you here.
Another important factor to get a high quality score on Bing is you need to have a privacy policy page and a contact us page on your landing page that you will advertise on Bing.
Bing wants a safe and secure environment. And if they are going to send over to you their traffic, they want to know that you are keeping their audience safe and secure. So make sure you have those 2 pages available before setting up your campaign on Bing.
There is much more detail that goes into it but these few key points WILL get you started on the right path.

Now let’s move over to setting up your campaign on BING.
First, you need a BING Ads account, if you do not have one, Go to and create one by clicking on the signup now button. Go through the sign up process and create yourself an account. It is FREE to join by the way.
if you already have one then just login to your account which should bring you right to your dashboard.
First, you would want to click on the “Create Campaign” tab.

This is where you setup your general settings on the campaign level.

 Enter a campaign name. This is a name only you will see to be able to identify the campaign you are running for your own personal reasons. For the sake of this video, let’s call it “Test Campaign”
 Enter your time zone, if you do not know your time zone you can always Google it. Or Bing it I should say.
 Enter a campaign budget. OK, I believe that if you are testing, A Good test budget should be anywhere between $50-$100 per day. Now let me be honest with you. You are not going to spend this much money anyways. This is the thing about Bing. It takes a while to deplete your budget especially for a new campaign, they will not give you lots of traffic until you have proven your

campaign’s relevancy first which takes time. But when you set a higher budget, you are basically telling Bing to be FREE and send you as much traffic as they can without worry which is a good sign on your part.
 For language, I will assume it is English so set it to that.
 Locations. I usually only target Canada and USA. I personally feel that Canadians and Americans are buyers. Others will tell you to target all English speaking countries but in my opinion, you would be targeting a huge broad market. I suggest you only target USA and CANADA.
 For Advanced Location options – Select “Show ads to people in your target location” This means that your ads will only show up to people in Canada and USA. So if someone from the UK went to and searched for your keyword, they will NOT see your ad because they are neither from Canada nor USA and this is how you want it setup. You want to keep your traffic super targeted. Remember, you are not trying to target everyone, you are only targeting those who you know will buy from you, because really, the rest do not matter.
Now it is time to create your Ad
 Again, this is not a copywriting course but let me give you some pointers.
 You want to have an attention grabbing headline. At the same time. It is best to include your keyword that you are bidding for in your ad’s headline. So if you can

create an attention grabbing headline using one of the keywords you are going to bid on, then go for it, if not, then just type the entire keyword for the headline. This ensures relevancy between your keywords and your ads, and you also need to make sure that your ad is relevant to what you are offering on your landing page, this way, the three are relevant and connected to each other and by three, I am talking about the keyword to the ad, and the ad to the landing page. This is how you ensure to get high quality scores and high Click-Through-Rate (CTR)
 Now the body of your ad should include and talks about benefits. NOT FEATURES, but BENEFITS. Here is an example of a feature. The example of my business I am using in this scenario, I am selling an affiliate marketing program.
1. So a feature would be: Get 3 affiliate marketing training videos.
you see; getting 3 videos is a feature, and not something they will benefit from.
2. A Benefit is: Free training videos reveal how you can build a successful affiliate business in 3 days. Now that is a benefit.
When you break it down, it tells the visitor that they are getting a video that will show them how to build a successful affiliate business in 3 days.
I hope you see and understand the difference.
 For my ad, for my headline, I am going to use one of the keywords which is “Affiliate Marketing”
 For my body, I will say: Free video that reveals how to profit from affiliate marketing within 24 hours.
 Now choosing your keywords. Look, people try to make a fuss about this and make it sound like there is a science behind choosing keywords. Really there isn’t and this is simple especially with Bing.
 All you have to do is choose the keywords that directly match what you are advertising. Also make sure to not stuff your campaign with keywords. You want

to use a maximum 5-7 keywords. And do not choose long tail keywords either. Choose short keywords that gets lots of traffic.

of course make sure you are choosing “Keywords” for Bid type option.
Another thing I want you to know is that when you are bidding on keywords, you have the option to bid on broad match, phrase match, and exact match.

Me personally through various testing, I always went with phrase match. Phrase match always gets you nice amount of traffic while keeping your traffic targeted attracting the right people to your offer.
in order to choose phrase match keywords, when you type your keywords in, include the keywords between apostrophes.

“affiliate program”
“clickbank” (I know this is not directly relevant but all affiliate marketers use ClickBank. So you can include keywords like this but you have to be careful if you do and make sure it is extremely relevant).

As you can see, I have only chosen 4 keywords and this is plenty and more than enough. Yes I did say 5-7 keywords but this is not engraved in stone, if you have less keywords that is fine, you can always add more later down the road.
Now you want to click on “Add” Keywords
OK, the bid that Bing suggests to be on the first page is way OFF and does not at all make sense, in my opinion, they need to fix this so do not go by it. Instead, I want you to click on the drop down menu and select “Ad group bid” which we will setup next.

Once you click the save button, now you get to see your Bids, targeting, and advanced options steps that we need to setup.

Let me explain something to you here. There are 3 ways to get traffic from Bing under the Ad distribution feature. I know I am skipping some steps but we will get back to them, not to worry.
1. Search Network: Where your ads will show up only directly under Bing’s own operated search network which includes: Bing search engine, Yahoo search engine, and MSN search engine. This is my ultimate favorite choice and is what I always use.
2. Search partner network: This includes smaller search engines that are part of the Bing network that get smaller volume of searches, but because there is so many of them, you can get a fair number of traffic. This choice I do not recommend unless you are advanced because with this source of traffic, you will get lots of bot and fake traffic and you have to monitor your campaign and weed them out slowly. I honestly do not even use this

traffic source because I find it very less targeted and not worth my time especially when beginning a brand new campaign.
3. Content Network: This method of traffic is having your ads placed on websites like Huffington post, CNN, and many other high traffic and low traffic websites where your ads is placed beside relevant articles and content relating to your Ad. I like this method, but I never use it when I first start a campaign and even when I do use i; I always start a brand new campaign only targeting the content network. This way I get to keep my traffic sources separate which results in better targeting for my ads and I do not have to make Bing split my budget between the 2 traffic sources.
So if you were to ask me which option I would choose, I would tell you to choose the search network ONLY. And this would be the “Bing and Yahoo! search (owned and operated) only” while de-selecting everything else.
When you deselect everything, you will notice that back at the top where you set your bids, that the content network bid fades away because you are no longer using it. And you only need to enter a bid amount for the search network.

Now to keep this brief, I always start my bids at $0.99 and work my way from there.

I see the pulse I receive from this bid and I adjust accordingly. And when I do raise my bids up or down, I always keep it in the $0.05 cents margin. So never increase or decrease your bid by a lot. Keep it very low and subtle so you don’t shock your campaign.
TIP: With Bing ads, you have to be patient. When you setup a campaign, you need to allow it about 48 hours to get the flow going. And everytime you make a change to your campaign, and that is any kind of change, also allow it about 24 hours to get the flow going again. What I am saying is that allow Bing a fair amount of time to produce results for you and don’t be too quick to judge or modify your campaign, in other words, let the campaign breathe before you start modifying it.
As for everything else, keep it all the same, you don’t have to touch anything else. Click on Save and you’re ready to go. Your campaign is all setup with all the right and winning choices. Good job !!!

In “The Techie” category, the most popular gift item (as well as one of the highest priced
products) was “robotic vacuums”. You’ve seen these, right? They’ve been around for a while,
but in the past were more novelty than useful. Things have changed! Check this out, it’s pretty

Ranging in price from around $130 to $450 or more, this would make for a great Amazon site
IF you had the right keywords. Let’s review a few of those keywords below.
The first column above contains your keyword. In this case “buy roomba 880”. The next
column, 170, is your keyword’s average monthly Exact Match search volume. And the last
column, 4,550, is this keyword’s number of competing sites.
While it’s true some keywords do have a higher search volume that 170, please understand
that this is a very strong BUYING keyword. If you can rank at the top of Google for this
phrase, then the traffic you receive will be from people looking to make a purchase. If people
make a purchase you get an affiliate commission!
So the real question is, How possible will it be to rank? Let’s review the SEO data below to
find out.
Above you see the top 10 ranking sites for this particular keyword. Notice the “URL” column to
see the sites in question. The “DA” column refers to the Domain Age and the “PR” refers to
the Page Rank of each individual page ranking. While important overall, neither of these are
essential to first page ranking. So while you should keep these numbers in mind, don’t give
them too much thought.
The first column of real interest is the “BLP” column which refers to the number of backlinks to
the page. Look closely and you can see that site #3 takes the lead with 266 backlinks. This
may seem like a lot, but it’s really not. It’s actually quite low. Better yet, the second highest
site has only 52 backlinks and several others actually none at all. For example, look at the
BLP column of sites #1, #2, #5 and #6. These low backlink numbers are a great sign for you
and indicate ranking first page to be very possible with but a few backlinks of your own.

Finally, notice the last four columns to the far right. The “Title”, “URL”, “Description”, and
“Head” columns all seek to answer whether or not this particular site is properly optimized for
the keyword in question. An “N” means no, and a “Y” means yes. If you see a lot of N’s ­
which we certainly do above ­ then you know these sites are not optimized. By simply
including this keyword then in the Title, URL, Description, and Header Tags of your own
content, you stand a great chance at ranking very well.
Here are some additional keywords of interest.
First, notice the 590 Exact Match searches for “robotic vacuum reviews”. The only type of
keyword more profitable than outright buying keywords (like our first example) are “review”
keywords like this one. And to help fill your potential review site with content, the last two
keywords are incredible. First, you have a specific model “roomba 780”. Notice the INSANE
search volume of 14,800 for it! Then you have a comparison “vs” keyword. Both are great

One of the highest priced items in this category, ranging in price from $150 to $1,400, is
“outdoor patio heaters”. There’s nothing better than a little heat on a cool night under the stars
with friends, which is why these items are so popular.

Let’s take a few specific keywords and give them a closer look. Here is one great example.
We just mentioned that “reivew” related keywords are huge money makers, and this is
certainly the case here. Notice how the keyword “patio heater reviews” has an incredible
1,000 average Exact Match monthly searches. The competition is also very weak as you can
see below.
Remember, the first column we want to pay special attention to is the BLP column referring to
the number of backlinks to the page. Site #1 ranks at the top with only 17 backlinks, and many
others have even less. Site #5 has the highest count with only 40, and relatively speaking, this
is practically none at all. Also, the on­page SEO as seen in the last four columns to the far
right is quite weak as well. Only site #9 maintains proper on­page content optimization. By
simply including this target keyword in your Title, Description, URL, and Header Tags, you
can boost your own ranking potential tremendously.
Here are a couple of perfect keywords to add to your possible “review” site.
These keywords are for very specific brands that you can review. With a combined search
volume of 2,900 monthly potential visitors, the affiliate commissions you could earn here are

Site #4 has a high BLP count (remember, this is what we’re supposed to look at first), but no
other site even comes close. Site #1 is worth mentioning though as it maintains proper
on­page optimization as seen in the last four columns to the far right. It should be easy to
build a few quality backlinks of your own. By doing this and by maintaining proper on­page
SEO, ranking first page could soon be yours. Here are a couple of product specific “pizza
oven” keywords to also consider.

has been popular for some time and has only grown in popularity this year: “KitchenAid”.
With such a wide variety of products for such a trusted brand, it was hard to choose just one
keyword. If I had to, here is one fantastic example worth targeting.

This keyword is absolutely incredible. Just imagine being able to rank for a phrase that
received 9,900 Exact Match searches every single month. Is it possible? Let’s see below.
The BLP column ­ which by now I’m sure you remember ­ is the very first column we ought to
look at. The good news for you is it’s full of very low numbers. Site #2 takes the lead with a
meager 75 backlinks. This is easily matched with just a few quality backlinks of your own.
Now, the real strength for this particular keyword phrase lies in the on­page SEO. Fortunately
though this is easily matched and even overcome with proper on­page optimization of your
own. Often by simply including your keywords in the appropriate places in your content, you
can rank well even for keywords like this one.
Here are a couple more ridiculously high search volume but weak competition keywords.

warm summer months near. Let’s highlight one of the best, most profitable, keywords below.
You’ll notice a very nice 880 monthly Exact Match searches for “inflatable hot tub reviews”. By
reviewing various products, you can make a very healthy affiliate commission simply by
offering your recommendations. Let’s review the SEO data below to see if ranking is possible.

Site #4 has 770 backlinks and site #5 has 204. No other site comes close. Even the on­page
SEO as seen in the last four columns to the far right is very weak. Overall, ranking should be
quite easy for this keyword phrase.
Something else you’ll notice here and in several of your other keywords, is the presence of
YouTube. Notice site #3. Traditionally when you see free user generated content ranking for
such high searched for keywords, that is in an indication of weaker competition. Such as is
the case above. What’s more, it makes me think if this type of content can rank so well, there
is no reason you could not have similar content do the same.
Here are a couple of extra awesome keywords to consider.
While the keyword just above does have a smaller search volume, these are very strong and
very profitable BUYING keywords. If this niche is at all interesting to you, jump on these
keywords immediately.

“inflatable hot tubs”, “cookware sets” are more of an everyman type of gift. Let’s review one of
my favorite keywords below.

backlinks of your own, maintain proper on­page SEO in the Title, Description, URL, and
Header Tags, and ranking first page could easily be yours.

We don’t normally look much at the “PR” column. It’s stronger here than in most. Fortunately
though we want to dive right into the BLP column which has no backlink count higher than 81.
These numbers are easy to bypass for sure! Just be sure to maintain proper on­page SEO.
Most sites above are properly optimized, but as was said earlier, this is easily matched and
even overcome with proper content optimization of your own.

Here are some practical steps (and some SEO advice) to see your future Amazon site begin
ranking for any of these keywords mentioned. We’ll use the key phrase “best coffee grinder”
as an example, but this advice still stands for any other keyword of interest.
1. Include your keyword in the Title, Description, and URL whenever possible. If this is
not feasible for your current domain, create simple content such as articles or landing
pages that link back to your main site. For example, write an article “Best Coffee
Grinder: 7 Brands To Look Out For” and have that article link back to your main site.
This not only allows you to potentially rank for this keyword based on your on­page
optimization, but it builds backlinks to your main site.
2. In regards to building backlinks, an essential element is building “targeted backlinks”.

Part 2: Optimization
Here are 12 easy steps to ensure your content is properly optimized for your chosen
1. Include Keyword In The Domain
By including your keyword in the actual domain name (if at all possible), you can usually
outrank a lot of your competition right away, especially if you have a few targeted backlinks to
go along with it.
Now, the best domains to use are .com, .net, and .org. Avoid .info, .biz, etc.
If you cannot find an available domain name using either of these three extensions, don’t fret.
Here are a couple of solutions:
a) use a hyphen (main­
NOTE: Avoid using more than one hyphen per domain domain name as this could be
considered “spammy”. Hyphens are perfectly acceptable for blog post titles and things of that
sort, but keep it very limited in the selection of your actual domain. If your target phrase
contains more than two words, you might want to try this next solution instead.
b) use a prefix or suffix – ( or
NOTE: A suffix is always better than a prefix because you want your actual keyword to
appear as early in the domain as possible. The search engines will naturally give more
precedence to the beginning of a phrase than the end. This is also solid advice when writing
any piece of content, but we’ll discuss more about this later.

All you do is type your keywords into the search box and it will generate a list of relevant
domain names for you. Notice the advanced options to include (1) only the domains currently
available, as well as (2) whether to include hyphens or not.

2. Include Keyword In The TITLE Tag
Listen to what Jill Whalen, an SEO expert has to say about Title Tags,
“The Title Tag has been – and probably will always be – one the most important
factors in achieving high search engine rankings. In fact, fixing just the Title Tags of
your pages can often generate quick and appreciable differences to your ranking.”
If your site is a blog, then using the Title Tag is very easy. It’s simply the title of your blog.
However, if you’re running a static HTML website, the Title Tag looks something like this…
Google reads the Title Tag and uses it heavily in determining what your site is about. Use
your main keyword early in your Title Tag, and you will notice a positive boost in your ability to
rank for that particular phrase.
Now you’ll also notice the “description” and “keywords” tags just below the Title Tag. Google
claims that they do not take these into consideration, and while this may be the case, it is still
advisable to include your keyword in them. After all, Google is not the only search engine out
there, and other companies may very well consider them.
3. Include Keyword In The URL
This is important when you want an internal page (such as a specific blog post) to rank for a
certain keyword. Simply create your new page or post, and include your target keyword in the
URL or title. For instance, let’s say you’re targeting the weight loss niche as a whole, but one
of your many keywords of interest is “lose weight tips”. Well, it should look something like

These tags are normally the headings of paragraphs. Most blog editors have the option to
create these tags on the fly. Even in this word processor where I’m typing this document I
have that option. The point is, it’s really easy (and important) to do.

Your Main Keyword With H1 Tag
Your Main Keyword With H2 Tag
Your Main Keyword With H3 Tag
Of these, H1 is by far the most important. This helps optimize your site, and when you include
your target phrase in these tags, Google will easily know what keywords your site is all about.
5. Include Keyword In The FIRST Sentence
Numerous experts agree, and much testing has confirmed, that when you include the
keyword in the first sentence of your content (or at the very least, the first paragraph) you will
experience far greater success in being able to rank for it.
6. Include Keyword In The LAST Sentence
Same as above. Even if you just have to include a “summary” at the bottom of your text, doing
so will create a nice bookend feel to your content, with a consistent focus on your target
keyword at both the beginning and the end. This helps make your content all that more
relevant, which is ultimately what Google is after.
7. Include Keyword At Least 2% To 4% Of The Time
This is something called keyword density. In other words, it is the percentage of times your
target keyword appears in any one piece of content. As a general rule, a good keyword
density is around 2% to 4%.
Now if you’re worried about how in the world to figure this out, check out this really helpful

Just enter your URL along with the keyword you’d like to check, click “Analyze”, and there you
have it.

8. Include Keyword In At Least One Internal Link
OK, this may sound complicated, but trust me, it’s not. It’s simply a link within your content to
another piece of your content on the same site or blog (thus the name “Internal”).
Now just make sure this link is “Targeted”. What I mean by that is be sure and use your
keyword as the anchor text. Just like I would here if lose weight tips were my main keyword.
This makes it clear to Google what your page is talking about.
As mentioned above, Google looks for relevance above all else.
9. Include At Least One Reputable Outbound Link
You may have caught on by now, but since Google loves relevant content, if they see your
site or blog post linking to a reputable and authority site in your niche, then you will be
If all else fails and you can’t really think of a site, Wikipedia is always a great example.
Of course, it’s important to style it so it does not look like a link that drives your visitor away.
Here is an example:

(keeps your “link juice” strong)
This will make your link look exactly like normal text. This way, you reap the SEO benefits
without having to worry about your visitor clicking on the link and forgetting about your site.
10. Keyword Optimize Your Images
Surprisingly, most people do not even know that you can optimize your images. There are two
ways to do this: (1) the “Alt text” set to your target keyword, and (2) the image file name itself
should include your keyword. An image name of lose­weight­tips.jpg is much more SEO
efficient than typical image names such as DSC18363538.jpg.

Since Google does not “read” images, including your target keyword in these two ways will
help even your site’s pictures actually increase your search engine rankings.
11. Bold, Italicize, And Underline Your Keyword
Google goes so far as to even look at a text’s decoration to determine what the content is
about. Since we want Google to know for sure what our website is about, then at various
times we should bold, italicize, or underline our target keyword phrase.
Don’t go crazy with it, but use text decoration 2 to 5 times, depending on the length of your
12. 500 Words Of Relevant Content
Now you don’t need every piece of content you create to be this long, but if you wish for a
particular page or post to rank for a specific keyword, longer content is better. A target of 500
words is a good goal. This is lengthy enough for Google, while not too long for an average
reader to peruse through in a few minutes time. Again though, 500 words of gibberish will do
no good whatsoever next to 50 words of relevant content.
Now to recap, here is a simple checklist of the 12 steps we’ve discussed above:

______ keyword is in the title
______ keyword is in the url
______ keyword is in h1, h2, and h3 tags
______ keyword is in the first sentence
______ keyword is in the last sentence
______ keyword density of 2% ­ 4%
______ one internal targeted link

______ 500 words of relevant content
Now you won’t get all 12 every time, but do get as many as you can as often as you can.
My hope is that these simple steps will help you properly optimize your Amazon content. It
doesn’t matter how many backlinks your site has, if your content is not correctly optimized for
your chosen keyword, you will never experience your full ranking potential.

I’d never imagined. So I stopped and started again – from scratch.
Because this product is not about me or what I want to explain…

Create Products Your Market are Already Asking For
You have to create products that answer your market’s questions. And,
sometimes, those questions will be silly things because your market doesn’t
understand the problem they have… so you have to give them what they want
and SNEAK in a little of what they need.
“Find out what they want, sneak in a bit of what they need
and give them what you sold them.”

Example: Over the years I’ve met hundreds – maybe thousands of
people – who come to learn self-defence against various forms of
attacks. Men, women, teenage boys and girls all scared of violence.
Unfortunately their looking for physical techniques – how to punch or
kick harder and ninja skills to disable a gang of armed attackers that
doesn’t exist.
What they really need to know is their safety is largely due to their daily

How to Overcome the Fear of Failure
The other week my girlfriend and I set out to buy paint for our new
home. We walked up and down the aisles of the paint store for about an hour
trying to imagine what colors would look best in our flat – both fearful that
we’d pick a color our friends might laugh at.
It’s funny how we create objections in our mind, problems thatdon’t
really exist and then let them stop us achieving our goals.
Really we should have thought differently about failure. So what if we
picked an odd color our friends didn’t like or made fun of. It’s our flat, our
personal touch and – if it really was that bad – we could always repaint it.
Next time you’re worried about failing because you pick the wrong niche,
create the wrong product or spent too long working on a project task ask
yourself –
“So what? Can I survive? Will I come back stronger? Will I learn from
the experience and bet better next time?”
Someone once said to me that if I wasn’t failing online with some
projects then I wasn’t pushing hard enough or doing enough. Learning to fail
fast is an important part of business – find an idea and get it up fast. If it fails
then so what? You’ve not wasted too much time or money on it and you can
move on to the next project.
Plus you got experience (something no amount of money can buy you)
and a product you can give away for free, sell as PLR or use as a bonus for
future projects.

I recently bumped into some guy who did a Double-Ironman competition!

He talked about the winner – a Marine – he chatted to during the event.
The biggest single difference between the Winner and Losers was Mindset.
The Marine got on with it. While everyone struggled up the hills, he just
battled through. When asked how he did it, he replied “The quicker I get it
done, the quicker I can get home.”
We’re all guilty of checking our emails, reading forum posts and checking
out multiple offers (all promising wealth). I know I’ve spent many an hour
‘working’ when all I was really doing what ‘reading about working’.
Just get on with it… the faster you get things done, the faster you’ll be
enjoying the results.
Time management is a big player in overcoming procrastination.
Stop sitting down for Ironman-like hours on your computer. Instead work
solidly for short periods of time – 30 minutes to an hour is fine – then reward
yourself with a break.
This has the added benefit of giving your unconscious mind to work,
come up with solutions and ideas you’d otherwise not have thought of.
When you’re done… you’re done… down tools and pack up for the day.
Spend time doing what you enjoy and live the lifestyle you dream of NOW.
PPPPPPP… Proper Planning and Preparation Prevents Pi** Poor
Learn to plan your work and work your plan. Map out your projects, put
realistic time frames in place and then stick to them.
Once your project is planned – create a weekly and daily plan.
Don’t find yourself turning on your computer and thinking “What am I
going to do today?!” That thinking, that deliberation leads to procrastination…
you’ll put off the important stuff that makes you money.
When you sit down at the computer you should know exactly what you
have to do, how long you have to do it and then get it done! You sit down with
a clear purpose and ‘begin with the end in mind.’
If you fail to achieve your daily work it’s either because you didn’t focus
or you were unrealistic. Try keeping a diary with a record of what you have to
do and the progress you’ve made.

Me… I keep a Notepad file and at the end of everyday I update it with
what I’ve done today, what I’ll do tomorrow and if I’ve achieved my goals for
the day.
It’s nice to scroll down and read past-entries. It’s a little like keeping a
food diary… you never realize how ‘bad’ you’ve been until you look back and
see how many days you ended up messing about, reading emails and checking
forum posts – instead of taking forward steps.
Perfection… doesn’t exist so stop trying to get everything perfect!
I remember a story by Dan Kennedy about the guy in a warehouse who
spent ages trying to tape a box up neat and tidily for shipping.
Then you had his colleague who simply wrapped the tape ‘round the box
and got them done twice as fast.
“Good enough is good enough!”
Learn (and have the discipline) to set timescales… get the work good
enough and then start selling it. This becomes your Version 1.0.
When your product is selling and you’ve got feedback from the
marketplace you can invest some more time, improve the product and release
Version 1.1, 1.2… 2.0
Think about all the ‘New, Improved’ detergents, toothpastes and recipes
released on a regular basis. They’re simply newer versions of the same, old
product… improved and re-sold to the same hungry market.
Software firms get this concept and release a version of their product
and then release subsequent updates. Sometimes they even release a product
with bugs they didn’t know about… until the market tells them… so they fix it
and still make millions!
Not only is this a quicker way to release your products… it’s a great
reason to keep in touch with your buyers, interact and ask questions… then
build a super-successful product based on real user feedback.
Quick Tip: Ever read a forum where they review a product?
These are goldmines of information where you’ll find real user
reviews pointing out the good, the bad and the ugly aspects to
the product.
You’ll read the pains the market are experiencing (in their
own words and vocabulary), what they liked and disliked about
the product and how you can tap into the marketplace.

So there’s another product already out there… maybe it’s been out for a
while, maybe they got it out days before you.
So what!
When you find a hot, hungry market you’ll never reach the entire market
and you’ll never satisfy their desire to consume new information. Hot markets
are so big there will always be a percentage of people who’ve never heard of
you and want to find out more.
How many weight loss DVD’s can you think of that teach the same
thing… they’re just endorsed by a different celebrity?!
Of course it’s nice to be different, to be unique and be first BUT in a
hungry market NEVER let the fact that someone got there first put you off.
Instead ask yourself…
1.Are they’re negative reviews I can fill with my product?
2.Do I have personal experience that will make your product different?
3.Is there a unique angle or twist I can highlight and sell?
4.Do reviews and feedback on my rival’s product reveal new product
5.Do I have a solution that’s quicker, easier, more complete or more
Rival products come out all the time and raises everyone’s game. Don’t
let competition and the fact that someone has already ‘done it’ put you off.
Failure to Finish Projects
Writers block, analysis paralysis, boredom and overwhelm are all reasons
for NOT getting your projects finished.
If I’m staring at a blank screen wondering what to write and where to
start the best thing (in my opinion) is to simply start writing… anything. As
you type the words will start to flow naturally but first you have to start typing.
It’s where the magic begins (don’t ask me how).
Not sure who said it but “Write fearlessly and edit ruthlessly!” is the best
way to cure writer’s block (same goes for video and audio courses – simply
edit out the fluff). Just start writing and get your thoughts down – you can
come back and edit it later.

Same can be said of food. There are the foods you want to eat and the
foods you know you should eat. When it’s time to choose ice-cream or an
apple… you want the ice-cream but know you should eat the apple.
9 times out of 10 you’ll pick the right task.
And if you’re still not sure, maybe it’s a toss up between two equally
important tasks – should I create the product or write the sales letter – then
give yourself 1 minute, flip a coin, roll a dice… just pick one and TAKE

Set yourself a goal and start small. Don’t go crazy and decide to write a 200

Instead create a short 20 – 30 page report on a specific topic and make a
promise to yourself to get it done this week.
Treat this as a confidence builder – you have your own product to sell,
giveaway to build a list and get feedback on.
You can sell it cheap to see what the demand is like, how happy your buyers
are and discover for yourself that’s it’s not really that hard.
When I created my first product and sold it for $17 I was scared to death of
refunds… two year later it’s still selling and I’ve not had a single request for
any money back. That means I need to raise the price somemore!

Finding Profitable Niches
Millionaire called Lloyd Irvin. He has one of the best, most envied and most
controversial grappling teams in the States.
Because he has a system – a checklist if you like – to stack the odds in
his fighters favour and it works time and time again.
Master Lloyd used to study old video tapes of the best grapplers on the
planet. When he watched and studied these athletes as they moved from
beginner, to intermediate, to top-level competition athletes he discovered
something amazing…
They all did the same thing…
Now when I say the ‘same thing’ I don’t mean the same techniques but
there was a fundamental similarity happening no one else had noticed.
He discovered they don’t do fancy tricks, they don’t use a gazillion
techniques and they didn’t need magic bullets or push-button systems.
They ALL had good basics and MASTERED one skill in particular.
If they were winning competitions as a beginner with arm locks… they
won competitions at intermediate and professional levels with arm locks.
If they were winning competitions with chokes… guess what… they won
with chokes at beginner, intermediate and professional levels.
Master Lloyd decided that everyone in his competition team and school
starts by getting good basics and when they discover the ONE SKILL they’re

The Niche Profit System
Profitable niches are all around you. Ask yourself “What is the one thing
EVERYONE needs?”

everyone needs somewhere to sit, everyone needs fridges and freezers!
There are mass markets all over the place, markets so broad they
literally target everyone. And each market has a wide variety of individual
niches within them.
It’s better still when the niche has repeat buyers. Our throw-away
society means we’re more likely to buy a new washing machine in 5 – 10 years
than keep it for 25 years plus… which keeps the sales team in commission
until retirement.
It’s why health, wealth and relationships are the three BIG markets and
so attractive for business.
We all need money, we all need to look after our health (and will have
health problems) and we all want to have long-term, fulfilling relationships
with a partner.
If you’re not sure where to start (and you think you might procrastinate)
then pick a big, proven market like health, wealth or relationship. Within each
market there are lots of sub-niches for you to target, profit from and expand

There are two schools of thought on making money with your passion.
One schools says it’s a great way to start because you’re doing what you love
which means you’re more likely to stick with it and see it through to the end.
I couldn’t agree more.
The other school says go where the money is because passions aren’t
profitable. Good advice provided you can STICK it through to the end.
Once upon a time I was heavily involved in the Forex niche building
review sites and reading up on different trading systems so I could pre-sell
them effectively.

bore you to death –simply because they’re profitable – then the dream

If your passion isn’t profitable then make a list of what you’re good at. It
might be a skill you use at work, at home or something you were good at in
the past. My uncle works in the auto industry but as a 20 something he was
always building stuff with wood out in his shed. That’s a skill you can leverage.
Leverage Existing Skills & Expertise
The quickest way to enter a market and build your business is through
leverage –I guess it’s a bit like learning a language.
I’ve a good friend who’s a great linguist.
He learned English from his father and Spanish from his mother. He was
well ahead of the curve at school when we all had to learn French. The
similarities between Spanish and French meant he was leveraging his existing
knowledge and he passed his exams in less than half the time everyone else
The quickest way for you to get started is by asking yourself “What skills
do I already have?” What area’s have you experienced first hand and could
offer advice on?
Don’t be scared to think outside the box and don’t exclude life-skills.
The other day I was flicking through old cover issues of Parenting magazines
for ideas and kept coming across two subjects.
1.Dealing with temper tantrums
2.Helping fussy eaters
Two life skills I’m sure many mothers and fathers have first hand
experience at and managed to deal with. And even if you’re not a parent or

Quick Tip: If you find yourself doubting yourself or

at level 1 – 4.

The Amazon marketplace is amazing. There’s so much information
available it’s scary. It’s important to start thinking laterally, looking for angles
and markets you’d otherwise have missed.

Computer games like Crysis 2 are an interesting because you know the

It’s no surprise Amazon have there own busy Home & Garden section

confident that with some decent research I could easily come up with some
great tips on house cleaning.
Tips to make cleaning easier, faster and look at myths and old-fashion
methods that have been forgotten. Looking for practical ideas I’d never have
thought of by myself and information that shocks, surprises, entertains and
sets off light bulbs in peoples heads. While cleaning is seriously dull to me… I
know a lot of people obsessed with keeping their homes pristine and perfect!
Second reason… this is a great example of a “List Product”. We’ll go
into List Products more a little bit later but there is no order or sequence of
events. You could simply go and find 52 of the best cleaning tips out there and
stick them in your book.

I’m into my fitness training… so it puts me in a perfect place to connect
with members of that niche. It’s my hobby, my career, my passion and (best
of all) it’s profitable.
Cyclists, golfers –we’re all the same –we’ll spend money on equipment
and ways to improve our game. Sometimes we’ll have equipment worth more
than our car in our car!
My dad’s the same… this niche is huge!
So strolling over to the Amazon marketplace and going through Best
Sellers in the Sports section I find a book on Barefoot Running.
This is cool because I know Barefoot Running is hip, trendy and running
shoes that mimic the barefoot retail at well over $100. Might sound odd that a
barefoot runner buys shoes but they’re a good way to bridge the gap… plus
they’re pretty cool.
Everyone loves a gadget and this is the runner’s equivalent!
Here’s how we go ‘Undercover at Amazon’ and let them do the hard work

could have a fantastic product and have simply failed to market it right. Or
they could have a poor product and an amazing marketing system in place.

Associate programs is a resource I discovered when I first started online
and Allen Gardyne has been making money as an affiliate since 1998. This is a
great place to find affiliate products and start your research.

Affbuzz and Offerbuzz are resources I rarely hear anyone talk about. It’s
a website the aggregates and rounds up a lot of the affiliate and CPA networks
out there.
A lot of the offers listed are CPA networks offering payouts for leads (not
sales) and may make a great, additional revenue if you add the occasional
(and relevant) link inside your product.

A great place to find product ideas in the ‘desperate category’ and while

When I first discovered this… it blew my socks off.

Magazines got this down to an art… they create infotainment products
and if they’re not profiting then they’re not going to print and you won’t be
seeing them in your local store!

Find a recurring theme (and it isn’t hard with mainstream magazines)
and you’ve got a winner. When I did the same exercise for Classic Toy Trains I

As a martial arts enthusiast I like to laugh at the latest fad for Mixed
Martial Art (MMA) style workouts. Then I realize people are bored with their
current routines, they appreciate the strength and conditioning fighters have,
they like their physiques and they want to look like these fighters.
Without joining an MMA club, sparring or getting hurt.
These adverts have been running on television and (thanks to
remarketing) follow me around on the internet as I browse forums, websites
and Facebook. There is even a Wii Fit Mixed Martial Arts workout routine.
This is a niche any experienced martial arts instructor or personal trainer
could easily go into. Again you can be even more specific.
For example: create an MMA style workout for people who want to gain
muscle, or lose fat, or get lean and toned or – maybe – want to get fit enough
to try a real MMA class but don’t have the confidence right now.
Identify those emotions, connect with your market and find out what’s
really driving them.
Bill Boards & Advertising
When I drive through the city I see adverts on buildings and buses
selling specific supplements for Male and Female Health –there’s several hot
niches right in front of my eyes I can tap into.

This year we’ve seen the launch and release of Google + and products
have already been released and sold. All the creators did was spend time
doing the dirty work, finding out how Google+ worked, reading the terms
service and put it into an easy to read layman’s guide.
Could you have done that?

Is Your Niche Profitable?
you probably don’t have a formula for determining how much profit there is to
be made from a niche.
But you can stack the odds in your favour by running through some key
questions and making sure you get a ‘Yes’ to the majority.
1.Is there paid advertising when you Google your main keyword?
If people are paying for advertising that is a sure sign there is money to be
made somewhere! No one is going to pay to advertise if they are losing
2.Are there magazines devoted to the subject?
As you’ve already seen magazines are only produced if there is money to be
made and the market is passionate. Not only does it demonstrate your
niche is alive, well and spending money –they’re a great source of
3.Do the market meet online (ie. forums and blogs)?
If your market is meeting online and searching for a solution using the
internet then they can be accessed through SEO, paid advertising, forum
signature links, affiliates and through social media.
4.Can you create multiple products in that market?
The hard part is making your first product and getting your first buyers. It’s
also the most expensive part in terms of time and money but your second
product allows you to LEVERAGE these assets.
After your first product you’ll know your market better, you’ll have feedback
from your buyers, you have the contact details or your buyers and it’s
easier to create a new product in the same market than a new product in a
new market.
Choose a market that lets you create multiple products that can all be sold
to the same people (eg. Bigger biceps, rock hard abs or double your bench
press could all be sold to the same Muscle Building Market).
5.Are there competing & related products to mine?
It’s good if there are competing products too. If you’re creating an ebook or
video course… there should be competing ebooks and courses – the market
should be interested in buying information.

If there’s only one affiliate program out there I’d be worried! You don’t just
want to promote other products as an affiliate – later you want to recruit
affiliates to sell your product for you.
If there aren’t many affiliate programs then there is a good chance there’s
not too many affiliates either!
8.Are there high ticket items or continuity programs?
Finally… not many people get rich selling low-priced items. The presence of
high ticket items and continuity programs demonstrates a market willing to
spend LOTS of money so you can start small by selling your first product
and scale up towards bigger, more expensive products, packages and
coaching (or sell someone else’s if they have an affiliate program)!
If you don’t want to create your own high-ticket items or continuity program
then at least you can plug into someone else’s and profit from their

Beware of the InfoProduct Pawn Sharks
I know a pawn broker who gets a kick from buying old and valuable
jewellery from desperate old women with no idea what it’s really worth.
They come into his shop and share with him their family’s inheritance. He
stares at it, shakes his heads and tells them “I’m really sorry… it’s not worth
much at all. I’ll give you [insert modest sum here] and I’m not even sure I’ll
be able to sell it.”
He gives them their money – they leave his pawn shop – and he walks
out back with a great story on how “Some old dear came in with a lovely bit of
jewellery… I told her it was only worth [insert amount]… it’s worth [pick a
figure much, much bigger]!” and then claps his hands with a great big smile
upon his face.
Believe it or not there are marketers online doing something very similar
but it’s not your jewellery they want–it’s your product.
They’ll scour the internet and affiliate networks like Clickbank, they’ll
email their list and advertise on forums. They’re looking for your product and
they want to buy it dirt cheap.
You see they know there are tons of products created – good products in
hungry markets –where the product creator (vendor) just couldn’t sell them.
Because the vendor didn’t think that far ahead.
Don’t become a victim and end up selling off your hard work to someone
else only to see them turn a profit and change their own life for the better!
If you were going to open a coffee shop – hopefully the first thing you’d
ask is where! Where do you find an army of coffee drinkers you can drop your
shop in-front of and have then come and go… all day… every day?
Those three words –location, location, location– spring to mind.
Well selling online needs –traffic, traffic, traffic– you have to be able
to access your market online and the more you can access… the more money
you’re going to make.
Before investing the time into researching and creating your product stop
for a moment and consider how you’re going to get the traffic you need to sell
your product.

The Only Two Types of Traffic
Traffic is easy because there are only two types.
Free traffic and Paid traffic –don’t make it harder than it is!
Chances are you’ve stumbled across both while checking to make sure
your niche was profitable. And if product creators are using both – free and
paid – traffic sources then you’re onto a good thing.
Let’s start with everyone’s favourite traffic source… the free kind.
Free Traffic Sources
Organic Search Engine Traffic
The best free traffic source for me has been organic search engine traffic
– Google in particular. For one of my reports I managed to pick up an exact
match domain ( and it ranks #3 in Google for
that keyword.
For zero work it’s been the easiest traffic and sales I’ve ever got and it
feels good however your sales are always going to be limited by the traffic you
can get to your sales page.
If only 1000 people are searching for your keyword every month and
you’re ranking #3 in Google then you’ll only ever get a % of 1000 checking out
your page.
Search Engine Optimization isn’t my speciality and other than buying
exact match domains, optimizing my site and building backlinks I know very
little. The is wealth of knowledge and you can get all
the information you need there for free.
A couple of kind chaps there once checked out my site and did a critique
of my sites on-page SEO and came back to me with suggestions – experts
trying to boost their reputation and credibility helped me for free – good for
me, good for them.
Make the most of the good guys on these forums.
I also recommend checking out www.SEOmoz.comwho’s daily blog
updates might be a bit overwhelming but they know their stuff and are always
monitoring Google updates (and the best ways to overcome them).
Article Marketing

Something I’ve noticed is the articles most likely to be shared are those
written enthusiastically – not professionally, not overly technical – more like the

Most forums let you add a signature which is beneath all the posts you
make. Posting on forums is a good way to build your reputation, get backlinks
to your site and you will get traffic to your sales page but the volume of traffic
is hit or miss.
It depends on the readership of the forum, your profile and reputation,
how frequently you post and the quality of the posts.
It is a good way to start out but forum signatures can become a real time
vampire and suck hours out of your day (plus you might get distracted while
you’re posting)!
It’s possible to sell eBooks and product on Fivver but be careful not to
devalue your product by doing so. You may decide to create an shorter, taster
version you can sell for $5 on Fivver and inside the shorter report include links
promoting the full-version.
Blogging and Blog Commenting
Hot niches have busy bloggers talking about their latest findings, gossip
and new trends in your niche. Blogging (as it was intended to be used) builds
a community and is good for the search engines too.
Good content aimed at your users will never die –I’ll stick my neck out

If your niche is your passion – this is easy – if not then you could

list or clicking on links to find out more about your product –don’t forget that!
Joint Ventures
Joint venture relationships are a good way to strike up friendships and
boost your business. The hardest part for many is getting started and
approaching people.
First off don’t be silly or unrealistic and start asking massive names in
the industry to promote your product and help you out. The best way to build
relationships online is by helping others out first.
Here are some ways to get started:
1.Private Message and get to know people you’ve helped or commented on
together on the same forum threads. If you think the same and agree
with each others comments you’re already on the same wavelength.
2.Start blogging about an authority you follow and promote their products
as an affiliate – you will get noticed and it makes approaching someone
3.List owners ask survey their list and ask for feedback – when they do –
provide it and help them out. You’ll start to stand out.
4.Keep busy and treat your online adventures like a business – if your
income, your mortgage and paying the bills was purely based on the

3.When someone buys your product let them know you have an affiliate
program they can join to earn back the money they just spent.
4.Approach the owners of websites who promote rival affiliate products
(they may want to change or diversify).
5.Contact other product owners (your rivals) who will probably have a list
they can promote your product to.
6.Create a new product teaching people to be an affiliate and then
recommend they start their affiliate marketing career promoting your

Push Button Traffic – Your Email List
We’ll talk about building lists later on. An email list is push button traffic
and a whole lot of power. In less than 200 words and by pushing ‘send’ you
can have traffic pouring on your offers for the next 24 hours.
Make sure you are always building your list, keep in touch with your
subscribers and build a deepening relationship with them to keep it responsive
and active.
Paid Traffic Sources
First off – there really is no such thing as free – it usually costs you time

enough is good enough.”It’s very easy to get caught up in research, make
pages and pages of note then get bored and put your project aside.
Keep an eye on your time and be disciplined.
It’s better to have to go back and get some more information than it is to
do hours and hours of research, end up with material you never need and get
bogged down in a world of overwhelm.
Your first task is to get ‘just enough’ information to get a first draft
together and see what your product looks like from there.
Organizing Your Information
You’re going to start with a process of accumulation.
Accumulating information and compartmentalising it as you see fit.
Don’t get hung up on the detail right now. Just collect relevant and useful
information, put it where you think it should go and get your product
You can always change it, move it and amend things later.
Here are my two favourite ways to collate and organize the information
for my products.
Make 10 Word Documents Called Chapter 1 – 10
You create 10 word documents – one for your table of contents and
introduction, one for your conclusion at the end – the other 8 are going to be
your chapters.
10 is a good number to start with. You can always make it longer or
shorter, just be careful not to get overwhelmed by the work at hand.
With 8 chapters all you have to do is write 500 – 1000 words per day and
you’ve got a 10 – 20 page product done. You can always come back and add
more to each chapter later but your first goal is to get it done and see what it
looks like.
It’s time to roll up your sleeves and start researching your niche market.
But before going any further, take a step back and remind yourself “Good

As you research information you’ll start to recognise themes and these will
become your chapters. Copy and paste the information your find into the
relevant Word Document and keep them organized.
You may be tempted to use one large Word document instead of 10 and
to scroll through chapters. In my personal experience it gets very difficult, you
get lost and it’s hard to keep track of where you are.
With 10 individual files you can visualize your product as 10 articles 500
– 1000 words long. Focus on one chapter/article and get it finished. You keep
everything separate in nice, neat little piles to work on.
Use a Mind Mapping Software
This is my preferred method because it’s very easy to get a top-down
view over your work and move things around. You have the benefit of
breaking your work into smaller chunks (like using 10 different Word
documents) but with the additional benefit of being able to see everything in
one place.

The nice thing about Mind Mapping Software is the ability to see
everything and move information about. You might start with something in
chapter one and later decided to move it to chapter four – all you have to do is
drag and drop it.
One tip is to use either the Word Document method or the Mindmap
method because if you use both it’s a little like wearing two watches that both
have different times.
You really want to keep all your information together as best you can and
work on each segment, each chapter individually with 100% focus until they’re

What’s Your Market Asking You For?

boards, blogs and social interaction where real people are meeting online and

no embarrassment online. You can hide behind a computer screen, use a fake
name, fake location and be anyone you want to be.
As you search keep an eye out for posts on Amazon, Yahoo Answers and
when you find a blog, make sure to read the full post and ESPECIALLY the
comments. This is where the real action takes place.
Copy and paste all the questions people are asking.
Copy and paste all the answers people are replying with.
It’s important that you copy and paste simply because you’ll see the
language, jargon and words people in your niche are using. This is important
when you write your sales copy because you want to connect with future
buyers, build rapport and for them to trust you.
When you copy replies to answers I’d try to remain impartial to the
advice offered. Some will be good but there will be a lot of ‘misinformed’
individuals out there. Take note because this is a great way to find a
combination of real world information gleamed from experience as well as the
myths circulating the world.
Information from real world experience and breaking myths are both
great for including in your sales letter as well as interesting information for
your product.
Don’t Forget Social Media!
Real world conversations are already happening on Twitter and Facebook.
Find online and offline businesses building relationships through
Facebook and Twitter then listen in and see what people are saying. I recently
discovered a new tool called Tweet Grid which is a great way to search and
listen in to Tweets already happening.
You’ll find random tips, trails to good sources of information, myths and –
again – you listen in to real world conversations. What people are saying, the
problems they’re having and the EXACT words they use to describe those
Leverage Your List with a Survey
There’s a Pay Per Click expert called Jim Yaghi.
Once upon a time, he and his colleagues discovered a lot of people were
searching online for lessons in Arabic. They set up some simple adverts on
Forums and discussion boards are great because people will share

started to watch what happen.
Turns out these people – from around the world –weren’t interested in
learning Arabic for tourism. They were interested so they could read Arabic

If you’ve already got a list in your niche, go and survey them right now!
If you’ve got a Twitter or Facebook followers, send them to a survey and
find out what they want to know right away. This will save you a ton of time
and make your product uniquely different!
If you’re familiar with list building, Facebook or Twitter why not start
building your list (or followers) right away starting now? You can still work on
your product and then tweak and adapt it as you get feedback.
Your market, your feedback is coming from the people you’re going to be
selling your information to! Think how much easier it will be to sell your
product when you already know EXACTLY what they’re looking for!
Build Authority into Your Work
The other day I had someone tell me that Bruce Lee was 99% muscle.
I raised my eyebrows and smiled politely. As the guy carried on talking
he said that Bruce Lee had 1% body fat. He’d obviously decided to work
backwards and deduced that if he had 1% body fat the other 99% was muscle.
No bone, no blood, no veins, no organs… Bruce Lee was 99% muscle and
1% body fat 
Be sensible when you do your research, don’t take everyone’s word ‘as
expert’ and remember in most instances (this goes for newspapers and
television reports too) the information you read is only someone else’s opinion.
Separate Fact from Editorial Opinion
Blogs, forums and messages boards definitely have their fair share of
experts, people who’ve been around years and are often more than qualified to
give advice. Find those forum experts –the one’s others respect – and read
their posts, their replies and their opinions.

Find out what’s right, what’s wrong and what’s misunderstood.
Find established websites offering information and offering services. You
can find a wealth of information on the websites of companies who are using
this ‘soft information’ to educate and build trust with new clients. This is
especially useful for the health niche where research papers and medical
journal are referenced.
Websites providing real reviews on products in your niche (think Amazon
and not affiliate review sites biased by making the sale) are another great
source of information.
Check Your Book Shelf!
If you’ve decided to pick a niche you’re already an expert in or
passionate about then there’s a good chance you have a stack of books on it
If you don’t have books on the topic just ask some friends, buy them or
go visit the library!
As I glance over at my bookshelf I see row upon row of books on martial
arts, self-defence, fitness, microbiology (my old profession), business and
personal development.
Here’s an example for you…
Martial artists are scared about Staph infections. They pass around the
gym, they can happen to anyone – famous fighters have had to pull out of
competitions because of infections – and they are potentially life threatening.
I know martial arts and I know microbiology.
Clickbank already has more than one digital product on Staph Infections
and I’m sure the other networks do too!

A quick Google search reveals a fair few forum threads about Staph
infections amongst martial artists and it seems it’s a question that crops up
virtually every year!
Right now I’ve got pretty much everything I need to make a product.
some will be really bad. The bad advice is GREAT because it’s a chance for me
to debunk some myths around the infection.
I’ve got personal experience in Microbiology, a University Degree and a
stack of books on the topic. My girlfriend still works in Microbiology I can chat
to and I’ve had friends down the gym with Staph Infections. I can ask them
what the doctor said and the frustrations they had (ie. not being able to train).
The final thing I would do is buy the product to get a feel for how long it
is, how well written it is and the information inside it. I can find weaknesses
and improve them, I can add value where it’s lacking and I can even learn
from it – reference it – and promote the rival product inside my own.
The hard bit is having the discipline to sit down, compile and create the
product this is where you have to remind yourself about the money, the
lifestyle and the holidays you’ll be having in the sun!

It’s time to research your product and compile your data. The most important
thing is that you build your product around the questions your market is
already asking.
This will make your product unique and easier to sell.
1.Decide whether you will use Word Documents to make your notes or a
MindMap to brainstorm your product.
2.Check Forums, Blogs, Twitter and Facebook to find out what your market
is asking. Note their fears and frustrations – all the emotions that are
driving them to search for their solution.
3.Look for recurring problems lots of people are experiencing.
4.Copy and paste the answers of these questions into your notes and look
out for the real experts and common myths or misunderstandings in the
5.Find genuine authorities on the subject through their website, your books
or the library you can check the quality of information against and use in
your own product. It’s a good idea to reference this work.
6.Buy a rivals product to find out how they’ve laid it out and structured.
The quality for the information, the size and format it uses. Does it
include any audio or video training?
7.Don’t collect too much information. Keep a note of your references
because you can always go back and get more information if you need

everything. Focus on a specific problem you can sell through a short report

Creating Your Product
While it might not feel like it… when you’ve complied your research the
hard work is done. All that’s left now is to organize your information and write
out your notes.
This is also the step where many end up with a half finished product.
Stick a picture on the wall or put a post-it note on your computer reminding
you WHY you’re creating this product. The time, the money, the lifestyle or
simply because you hate your job.
If you find yourself thinking negatively – kick those thoughts out of your
head – they won’t help you and they’re only getting in the way. I like to give
my head a quick shake, re-focus and then get back to work.
My girlfriend sings the Indiana Jones theme tune to motivate herself –
each to own I guess.
As you write out your notes remember think of this as your first draft.
Don’t fuss and don’t worry about editing as you go. That will only slow you
down. Instead get into the grove and just start typing.
Organizing Your Product Chapters
Information products can be broadly divided into four different types of

The most common format you’re likely to be using is number 2, the step-
by-step guide.
List Products
The most obvious list products are “The Worlds 50 Richest People” and
these are good product ideas in themselves. Some niches lend themselves
well to this –Top 100 Traffic Methods Online or 10 Ways to Lose a Pound of
Fat a Day.
Instead of a singe traffic generation technique you know about… you
could share your best 25 ways to get 100 visitors a day to your website. You
can list the methods randomly, you could start with the hardest and finish and
finish with the easiest.

by starting strong with your best methods, then you add in the less popular
methods and then you finish strong so your readers go away “pumped” and
ready to take action.
If you look after children, work from home and have to stop-start
frequently then list products are really good to try because they’re easier to
pick up where you left off.
Step by Step Products
Most products fall into this category and it’s the one we’ll focus on for the
most part. How to build websites, chicken coops, raised flower beds, garages,
sheds or learning how to pack on extra muscle.
Step by step guides you follow in a logical order and the secret is to
make it as clear as possible what action the person needs to take after each
section or chapter.
Recipes are probably the clearest example and a very good model to
follow. You have to make them ‘idiot proof’ so anyone can follow them while
(at the same time) cooking.
Frequently Asked Questions
Imagine a gardening book for beginners who’d like to grow their own
vegetables. You ask the keen gardeners you know, you check forums and see
the most commonly asked questions and problems are.
You can ask gardeners what they’re top tips for new vegetable growers
would be, what mistakes they made and what they would do if they were to
start from scratch.
Then create a product where you type the question and then answer it.
The A-Z of Judo sits on my bookshelf and runs techniques in alphabetical
order. Or a cook book where A is all the recipes whose key ingredients are
Aubergine, Apples and Almonds.
Baby names, dog breeds or the A-Z Guide to a Richer Life. There’s not
much more to say!
Time to Start Writing
Whether you create a list, step-by-step, FAQ or alphabetical product will
largely be determined by your niche and the information you have.
You want to motivate your readers to keep reading and you can do this

on with writing them – each section is a small chunk – and you know exactly
what is going into that chunk (eg. All the word beginning with A will go into
the A chapter).
When it comes to creating a step-by-step guide you have to think of your
chapter as a miniature version of your entire product. Each chapter will go
through the points – step by step – and where possible in a logical order.
It definitely helps to have a structure to stick to. If you’re an
experienced article writer it may be that you use what already works for your
articles for your chapters.
Until you find your own system try this…
Step 1 –What’s in it for me?!
As nice as it would be – not many people just get on with something until
they know what’s in it for them. Your reader might be motivated by money,
power, relationships or make a contribution to others that makes the feel good.
Or maybe they’re really lazy and just want reassurance they can do this!
It helps to start your product and each chapter by explaining “Why” they
should do what they’re about to read.
It’s good for you too because if they understand “Why”they’ll feel more
motivated and be more likely to use and apply your product. That’s good for
testimonials, future sales and your karma 
Step 2 –Give a quick overview of what they’re about to learn
Instead of going in cold – give your readers a quick overview of what
they’re about to learn. You don’t have to go into detail, just give them a bird’s
eye view of what lies ahead of them.
It’s a good idea to whet their appetite and make them a little curious so
they want to find out more and remind them again about the end result to
keep them motivated and on track.
Plus it’ll give them a skeleton they can flesh out as they work through
your product and deepen their understanding.
Step 3 – Your Step-By-Step Product Structure
This is where you organize your notes and thoughts. In the same way
that you have organized your chapters in a sequential order… organize the
information you’ve collated into a logical order than flows.
The great thing about lists and alphabetical products is you can just get

around and get ready to start writing it out in your own words.
This is how I organized information into a step by step plan for
this product and then I simply flesh out the individual components
with notes and personal experience.
1.Motivate and give a reason why
2.Give them an overview
3.Reveal step two
4.Reveal step three, four, five etc etc
5.Add relevant examples, references, stories or pictures
7.Give them an action to take
Remember to relate back to your market. If they’re beginners remember
to break everything down, step by step and don’t worry about it being too
simple. If your audience already know a section then they can skim through to
the parts they don’t know. It’s better to be thorough then it is to assume your
reader already knows.
Greg Davis (the Super Affiliate Rockstar) once told a story about writing
sales letters. A friend of his writes sales letters for products and then sits a
potato in front of the computer.
If the potato understands –it’s good to go – if the potato doesn’t
understand then he starts writing the sales letter again.
It may be a silly and patronising story but it’s good advice to make zero
assumptions and break everything into their most basic element so everyone
can understand. No one will ever complain your product is ‘too clear’ or ‘too
easy to understand’.
Step 4 – Add Relevant Stories, Examples, Quotes or Pictures
If you’ve ever read a sales letter and got sucked in there’s a good chance
it’s because of a compelling story. One of the most common stories on sales
letters in the Internet Marketing niche is “I was broke, now I’m not – If I can
do it, you can too”
If I’m honest I don’t quite understand why stories are so powerful even
though I love going to movies which are stories. And I appreciate that much of
our ancient history, myth and legend are all stories passed down from
generation to generation until eventually they were written down.
Just accept stories create pictures in our minds and we’re wired to tune
in. When you come across stories, case studies examples, quotes or pictures
make sure to use them. They add value to your content, if they make
understanding it easier and put information into context.
To start with you simply need to cut and paste, move your information

too. If people enjoy your product then they’re more likely to talk about it,
recommend it and buy future products you create.
Stories, examples and case studies enhance your text, motivate your
readers and make it different from the instruction manuals you’d expect with a
washing machine!
Step 4 – Summarize your chapter and give them help with the tough
One of the best bits of advice I ever read for article writing was as simple as
1.Tell them what you’re going to tell them (the introduction)
2.Tell them what you want to tell them (the body)
3.Tell them what you told them (the conclusion)
A summary at the end of your chapter is the perfect place to put everything
together, round it all and tie everything together as a neat little package. We
don’t have the best of memories so it’s also a great place to remind people of
the most important points and what to do next.
I learned (or learnt) from Jason Fladlien.
Add some coaching in your product. If you know your market and you
know their pains and frustration there’s a good chance you also know exactly
where they’re going to stumble.
For internet marketer’s the biggest problem is always taking action and
following through to the end. It’s why you have to remind them constantly to
take action, finish their products and not to get drawn away by shiny new
objects like a moth to a flame. That the money is in making progress.
Finish your chapters by picking some of the biggest stumbling blocks
they’re likely to overcome and reveal what they need to do to overcome those

Start to “write fearlessly” it doesn’t have to be perfect, it doesn’t have to
be grammatically correct… just write based on the notes you’ve made for that
chapter. Don’t think too much (you’re only tidying up the notes you’ve already
written out) and just start typing.
Minimize the amount of time thinking “What next” by sticking to your
step by step product structure.
Open your Word Document up, start writing and explaining why they
need to take this course of action, the run through the step-by-step guide and
finish up with a summary and overcome the stumbling blocks they’ll likely

the next step is to start writing out your notes and creating your product.
With your niche chosen and your research done – now is the time to start
fleshing out your product. Simply start adding your information together…
start to write (video or record) ruthlessly… leave the editing until later… it will
only slow you down.
Get into the ‘zone’ it’ll take a moment or two and let the words start to
flow naturally. Don’t allow your concentration to break until your timer goes
off or you’ve completed your goals.
If you can complete your product in one day… GREAT!
If it takes a few days then keep writing, stay disciplined and stay
focused. Make a commitment to yourself to get it finished as quickly as
possible – stick a post-it note on your fridge, your mirror or the ceiling above
your bed.
Do whatever it takes to get your product finished.
Make a commitment to write a chapter a day per day (or if you’re aiming
for a 25 page report simply write 5 pages per day and it’ll be done in 5 days).
Have focus, have discipline and remember… writers write, actors act,
fighters fight and product creators… create products!

Edit Your Product – Ready, Fire, Aim!
Million in No Time Flat” it’s a good book and worth reading.
The majority of us see an opportunity, get ready, aim…aim some more…
keep aiming and by the time we’re ready to take action the opportunity (or
enthusiasm) has been and gone.
It’s definitely true that we all spend too much time thinking,
contemplating and then failing to hit the target or even pull the trigger. We all
need to think Ready, Fire, Aim.
For that reason a lot of very successful marketers out there will
confidently create a product in one sitting and then sell it, no editing and
minimal proof reading. I remember buying one for over $50 where one of the
chapters was half repeated later and even had some notes to his virtual
assistant still in it.
It bugged me a bit and it’s not my style but it highlights what I’m talking
about. Personally I think you owe it to your readers to have at least one proof
read of your product but just don’t waste too much time fussing.
Here’s how you edit your product.
Read it out loud and hear the words flow.
When you come across extra words and sentences that don’t make sense
or blocks of text that are just too big – edit them.
Be ruthless with your editing.
If you’ve really been writing fearlessly then there’s a very good chance
you’ve got too many this, that, like, if, but, what, when and other filling words
that do nothing. They’re the written equivalent to umm, ahh and errr.
Cut them out and make your sentences short, active and punchy.
Keep your paragraphs short and relevant.
I’m not author, no trained writer and I know my writing is FAR from
perfect but I also know that long sentences, long paragraphs and big blocks of
writing put people off.
I’d rather irritate a few with one line sentences than huge paragraphs!
Especially if you’re product is likely to be read on a computer screen.
Use your computer’s spell check and grammar check to iron out the

creases. If the odd their, there and they’re get mixed up… don’t fret.
You’re readers are paying for a solution not an English lesson.
Proof Read and Edit Once – Edit NOT Rewrite!
This is my Achilles heel and every time I create a product and go to edit
it I find myself ‘re-writing it’. If you find yourself doing this… STOP.
Accept that you’ll never be 100% happy with your product, you will
always want to change it and neither of those facts will stop it from selling.
The other day I read about this guy who’d finally finished his product
after a year working on it. A year! It’s probably perfect and I really hope it’s
good because if his first product – his market test –fails then that’s a whole
year down the drain.
Only after you have sold your product, only after you have received
feedback and you’re confident it’s worth the extra time and effort can you
improve it further. This is where you tell yourself “Ready, Fire, Aim!”
Package it up and get ready to start selling!

First off… let me say that some really respectable internet marketers go
with their first take. They create the product and start selling immediately.
Personally, I recommend editing your report a day or so after you’ve
finished it – especially if you’ve started and finished the report in just one day.
If you edit it immediately you will fail to see mistakes because everything
is so fresh in your mind. The information you’ve compiled may read and sound
right to you but give it 24 hours and you’ll notice silly words and sentences
that don’t roll off the tongue too easy.They’ll even be parts that don’t make
Right now you’re trying to build yourself a loyal fan base who like your
information and want to buy from you again in the future. The very minimum
you owe them is to spell check and read through your product at least once.
1.Leave your product 24 hours before going back to edit it.
2.Read your work out loud and clearly –it’s amazing how you read
sentences in your head fine but they sound cumbersome and awkward
when reading them loud.
3.When you edit don’t start to re-write your product – good enough is
good enough – and big changes can wait for version 2.0
4.You will think of extra information and tangents as you edit your work.
Have a notepad to hand and jot these ideas down… they can become
upgrades to your work or give you ideas for brand new future
products to sell.

Fonts & Formalities

One marketer once said to me “You should always have a professional photo of
you in your product. Not one with your girlfriend, wife, sitting at your desk or
whatever because they’re unprofessional”.
Here’s why that’s wrong.
Because it’s all about YOUR market and it’s all about testing and they are
(ultimately) interested in them – not you!
Some tests on sales letters discovered that pictures of you with a dog
increased sales! I don’t know why, it just did. If you got a picture of you and a
dog on your sales letter, why not use the same photo in your product? Saves
time, effort and procrastination!
I’d rather take action and creating a useable product you can sell first
and play around with later. That’s a lot better than worrying about finding a
professional photographer so you can stick a nice picture in your eBook!
The most important thing about your product is you want people to find
it easy and enjoyable to read.
Arguably the biggest factor here is the fonts you use and the layout of
your product.
Strangely enough it’s a component your readers are unlikely to notice.
What I mean is they may find it hard to read something or notice their
eyes are getting tired and not realized it’s because the font used was not
designed for a specific purpose like headlines, sign-writing or novelty.
Imagine reading this font! For a long period oF time… sucks right?!
More on that later so let’s start at the beginning of your product.

I don’t know where he gets his information from but Michael Campbell is
a master when it comes to techie stuff like this.
If your report is likely to be read on a computer it makes sense to use a
font designed to be read on a computer screen.
Try one of these three:
Trebuchet MS
When it comes to font size – 12 – is always a good option although you
can go bigger if your market is a little older. Of course your readers can
always zoom in if they’re reading on their computer screen although they may
prefer to print it out.
Picking the right font and the right size is probably the most important
thing you can do for your reader!
Headings, Sub-Headings and Body Text
It’s never a good idea to go ‘over the top’ with different font styles.
Again, three is the ‘magic number’, you can use one font for headlines,
one for sub-heads and one for the main body of your text. Once you start to
use more it starts to interfere with readability.
Keep your documents clear and clean – focus on content over style. One
of the reasons Thesis is such a popular WordPress Theme is because it allows
you to present you content very clearly… if your eye is not being drawn to the
text then it’s being drawn elsewhere. You product is the exact same.
One of the fonts I like using for headlines is Impact. It stands out really
well but isn’t good for creating a book with. If you do use Impact don’t use it
BOLD because the words start to blur together.
Author Introductions and Biographies
There are some internet marketers who always open with the same story

of how they went from zero to hero online. When I know the marketer, have
bought several of their products and heard the story several times over – it
bores me to tears!
However I remember listening to a story by Terry Dean. He used to
always open seminars and products with ‘his’ story of how he went from Pizza
Delivery Driver to internet marketer. Then one day he stopped telling his story
and his income started to drop.
It might be boring, you might have buyers who already know who you
are… but you’ll also have people who don’t know who you are, need to be
inspired and need to know they should listen to you.
Opening with your story is a great way to bolster business, connect with
your market and brand yourself. If you’re going to use an author introduction
make sure to add a photo too (it’ll help your market remember you and put a
face to a name when you contact them again in the future).
Graphics, Pictures & Covers
Many products will have a front cover with either a graphic book cover or
a flat cover that has been designed to increase the perceived value and buyer

Flat covers are a nice complement to your product but second only to the
information inside it. Your buyers will only see your front cover after they’ve
bought the product and started to read it.
Graphics, pictures, headers, footers and eCovers are part of a bigger

Once upon a time someone told me a picture of your digital product on a
squeeze page will increase conversions. The reason is simple. It creates the
feeling of a real product you can hold in your hands – like a book.
Squeeze Page Definition: A squeeze page is a lead capture

visitors so you can contact them in the future. At the
very minimum this is usually an email address and can be
as much as your full name and postal address.
So I decided to test this and had one squeeze page with an image of my
special report and one without.
During tests the image actually lowered conversions of visitors to
subscribers. The image was bad for my business!

I’ve also known product vendors talk how they had nice header and foot
graphics designed – not to increase conversions on a page – to please and
attract the affiliates who will send the traffic.
The header and footer reduced sales BUT it was worth it because they
got more affiliates and more traffic.
Ecovers often increase ‘perceived’ value of your product and make a
downloadable product look like lots of REAL material. That $97 course that
comes complete with 10 DVDs, 16 CDs and 5 manuals is actually just a bunch
of electrons saved on your computer.
It’s not a physical product, you don’t have anything delivered to your
front door and (for a time) it might feel like you’ve got ‘nothing’ for your
money. The images of the package on the sales page create a visual
impression that can stack the value and may help your sales.
Remember to think about your market and what they are likely to
respond best to. Some markets may not care about fancy stuff while others
may crave it.
Remember this all comes second to creating your product and is
something that can always be added later!
Promote Products Inside Your Product
Create a product littered with affiliate links and you’ll alienate your
readers. Create a product which references useful tools and sources of
information that is relevant and you’ll do just fine.
The websites, products and services you refer to should enhance the
experience and complement your product.
Better than promoting other people’s products is promoting your own. If
someone bought your product and they’re happy with your product then you’ve
become a trusted source of information. It’s better to promote your own stuff
(not just for profitability) and easier to sell to a happy buyer.
If you promote someone else – well your buyer now has to start a NEW
relationship –may be cynical and ‘not sure’ to start with. That’s a slight
barrier to making the sale.
Plus you’ve just added your buyer to someone else’s buyer list and now
you have to compete with that person for your buyers attention!
How do you promote your other products? Easy!
A full-page advert before your content and at the end of your content is a
good place to put these adverts. Since you know your market well you should

create adverts that complement the product they’ve bought and is well suited
to the market.
Jimmy D. Brown does this exceptionally well in his infoproducts. If
you’ve created a product on anger management then you could promote your
8 week membership course – highlighting all the benefits – at the beginning
and end of your anger management product.
This is a great way to provide more value and a better service to your
customer as well as making more money per buyer.
Did You Know: Last time I looked there was an anger
management membership site on Clickbank? There’s a niche
for you and a desperate one because anger gets a lot of
adults and children into a lot of trouble.
Another good place to promote your other products is using a short line
of text that draws the eye and generates curiosity in the footer of each page.
All you need to do is create a captivating line that builds curiosity and
include a link in your footer.
Add Text Boxes, Indents, Bullets, Bolding and Italics!
While I’ve already talked about using three different font styles or
heading sizes to create your report… at the end of the day it’s YOURS so you
can do what you want. Just make sure it’s always easily readable.
A nice way to add to your report is with text-boxes, indents and quotes.
These make elements of your text stand out from the main body of your
I’ve used a few within the chapters in addition to some short lists and
bullet points to make information a little easier to read, break up the text and
hopefully make it easier on the eye.
Unfortunately this isn’t something you can test –it’s an individual ‘thing’
– you have to gauge for yourself based on what you like to read and how you
like information laid out.
Different ways you can highlight and improve your information
1.Add a list and use bullet points.
2.Include text boxes (these are called Johnson boxes on sales pages) and
add colour to them.
3.Use italics, bold or underline – be careful not to overdo it – otherwise
your readers will simply switch off to them and they’ll lose their effect.
4.Indent your text and change to another font style.
5.Include quotes and put them in italics, centre the quote and make sure
to add the person who said it.

Don’t forget to use examples, definitions, case studies, proof, references,
quotes and stories to improve readability. These are all examples of items you
can add in text boxes or indent and change the font. They’ll improve
readability and make your work different.
How to Create a PDF
Not all Word programs are created equal! From what I can gather many
of the newer versions all have the ability to select “Save As” then select PDF
and your computer. Make sure you always keep a .doc format you can edit
and PDF version you can package as part of your product.
Open Office is a free alternative you can use to “Export” your files as
PDF. Again make sure to keep your files as an .odt (specific to Open Office), I
recommend saving a .doc file you can use with Microsoft Word and the .pdf file
you’ve just created.
There are other free pdf creators out there including Cute PDF. You can
download it for free and install in on your computer. Using Cute PDF you have
to select “Print” and instead of choosing your printer you choose “Cute PDF”. It
converts your document to a pdf format and asks you where to save it.
There are free online pdf converters you can use. These can distort the
layout of your document so make sure to check the formatting and layout

As time goes on and you want to brand yourself, stand out from the
crowd. Increase the perceived quality of your product and buyer satisfaction.
In the words of Brad Gosse –“People want things presented to them
nicely. Otherwise the iPod would be a black box with a headphone jack.”

product is selling and you’ve seeing results.

This method I was shown by my IM buddy on Skype last night.
I was blown away and surprised (in a good way) how easy he makes

money for a living
with just YouTube.
Being so excited and pumped up I JUST HAD to document that!
What surprised me the most is that he’s making money:
▪ without creating any videos!
▪ without even uploading any videos!
The only thing he uses is his empty personal YouTube account. And nope, this doesn’t
involve comment spam or anything illegal.
While we were having a chat, he told me only the basics.
But that’s more than enough for me to figure out all the rest 🙂
Method Overview
The method is super simple:
1. He find high trafficked YouTube videos (I will show you how in just a moment)
2. He message the video owners and ask them if they could add his affiliate
link in the description box for a one time, or recurring fee.
That’s it! Simple as that.
Takes around 10 min to implement and if agreed, he start making money almost
INSTANTLY. Total genius!
What’s the fee you ask?
It depends on the niche and how savvy those video owners are.
Usually it cost him around $10 to $20 (one-time payment).

Just imagine a kid having a viral video that knows nothing about internet marketing.
Offering him a free $20 for just throwing a link in the description is like a dream come true
for him.
Some video owners are smarter and could ask a recurring fee. Which is also not bad
considering if you made money in the first month and the traffic (views) are still stable.
So, if you are ready to test this stuff, let’s move on to the Step-By-Step process and some
LIVE examples to get some ideas running.
Finding a trending (high
trafficked) video.
There are a few ways of finding these kind of videos.
First is an official YouTube Trends Dashboard website:

Using TrendsDashboard you can spot videos that are currently trending and getting
momentum in a real time.
Some of them are by established channels, but there are also many videos from innocent
YouTube users that caught some crazy event, uploaded to Youtube and went viral.
These should be your first target to choose.
Another obvious place would be clicking on the „Popular on Youtube“ link
( as shown below:
Again, lots of videos to target.
Which videos get the most views?
Below are categories that get the most views and interest:
• Music videos (single tracks, remixes, mixes)
• Trailers (movie trailers)
• Games (Minecraft, GTA and etc.)
• Magic tricks
• Viral/event/funny videos (filmed with smartphones by amateurs)
• Pet videos (cute puppies, dogs, cats)
Keep in mind that any of these categories can be monetized.
We will overview monetization strategies in just a moment.

After doing some research on this method, I have picked a few examples to get a closer
look on how they have been monetized.
One video that really caught my eye was:

PLEASE NOTE: I’ve not tested this personally, so I can’t guarantee any results. But since
he’s using his affiliate link for a while now, that means it is working for him.
Here’s another great example. This time in the „Magic Tricks“ niche.

Magic trick related videos get a nice amount of views too and I know for sure that
Clickbank has some great offers in that niche as well.
Another example is again in the music niche.

How to monetize
generic videos?
Above examples are somehow related to the affiliate offer, but you will often find videos
that are very generic (funny/prank/event and etc.)
These videos are untargeted and for a very broad demographic. This is where I’ve seen
many marketers use CPA email submit offers (such as Free iPad, Free iPhone).
How it works?
Every time someone click on the link and enter his or her email address, you get paid
anywhere from $1.20 to $2.
With a very highly trafficked videos these numbers can add up very quickly.
If you don’t have an account in any CPA network, I recommend joining

Let’s message the author:
1. Click on his channel name below the video.
2. Inside the channel hit „About“.
3. And then click on „Send message“.

I would write something like this:
Nothing fancy.. Attention grabbing Subject and a quick message.
I would wait for him to get back and then negotiate the price depending on how fast he
replied and how excited the owner would sound in his message.

If the owner is excited and replied very fast, that means he’s desperate and probably one
time $10 payment would be more than enough.
Buying Youtube
What you are about to discover is something that is going on under the radar, but no one
is talking about very loudly.
One of the reasons is that Youtube don’t allow that kind of practice.
The good news is though that it’s not easy for Youtube to control or catch those who are
doing this.
Some of the highest caliber affiliates I know are making crap load of money simply by
buying already successful Youtube channels and monetizing with CPA and affiliate offers.
Basically, they go and find channels with videos that get a lot of traffic and are somehow
related to the Clickbank offers.
Then they message the Youtube channel owner and offer anywhere from $100 to $200
per channel.

How To Make Money Buying YouTube Accounts
I’ve been playing around with buying Youtube accounts lately for traffic and wanted to
share some of my story…
Now you might be wondering why would anyone want to buy a Youtube account?
Well if you can find a good account with a lot of views in your niche then you can promote
your website or affiliate links on those accounts pretty easily.
Take for example this video…
As you can see, this video has 77,258 views on it
It’s not a ton, but if the account has 20-30 videos like this then it would be well worth it to
try and buy the account.
All you have to do is go to Clickbank and find a workout of diet product and promote it with
an affiliate link under the video.
You can also add annotations to the video so that you can direct them to your URL

(redirect it) as well…
Now the other way you can do this is to find accounts that have just 1-2 KILLER videos
with millions of views.
This is what I try to do.
Most of these accounts are run by kids who have no clue that the views they have are
worth anything.
So for a 12 year old kid, if you offered him $100 for the account he would probably gladly
take it.
This is where it boils down to a numbers game.
Most of the accounts you want, you’ll have a hard time getting an answer from the owner.
And if you do, most of them are skeptical that you’re going to scam them or steal their
identity (cant happen, but people are skeptical)
I heard some good tips on this from a Jason Moffat video I watched a while back – he said
that what was working for him was using something like this in a private Youtube
Hey, I just came across your Youtube account and Im interested in buying it.
My buddy and I are having a competition to see who can get the most traffic to
our websites and I want to use some of the videos you have to do that.
If you want to setup the videos on another account thats fine with me, I just
want your account as it is.
I can pay you like $100 for the account – and Ill send you the money via
Paypal or a check in the mail.
Let me know if youre interested.
Now one of the keys to this is that you have to find accounts that someone has no
emotional or economic attachment to.
If someone has a bunch of workout videos for their own site and they are making money
with it, they arent going to sell it to you.
And if some little kid has a bunch of his favorite WoW clips on his account, then he’s prolly
going to be hesitant with giving it up…
This is why you either have to tell them they can keep all the vids and move them to a new
account – or you need to find accounts that just have 1-2 really good videos that have 1

million+ views….
Once you agree on a price, then all you need to do is get the password from them.
Make sure you change it right away (along with any other information)
And then you can start to monetize the videos by linking them to your affiliate links – or by
sending them to your own website.
The best ways to link up is in the “About” box and also put annotations on the screen that
direct people to your website or redirecting URL.
One of the easiest ways to figure out which accounts to buy would be to go Clickbank and
find products that would fit certain types of videos.
So if there is a Youtube video of a 7 year old doing a killer solo on guitar then find a “learn
how to play guitar” product on Clickbank and put an affiliate link in there.
You could literally do this for almost every niche that has a product on Clickbank.
So far I’ve bought 5 accounts for $650 total.
My total affiliate commission made off all the accounts has been $1750.
Now the good thing is, if these accounts all stay active and the traffic stays the same, I’ll
make an extra $10,000-$12,000 dollars this year off the accounts.
I havent hit a MAJOR winner ($5k or more per month), but Im going to keep trying to see if
I can find one…

Reviews are said to be the most important component of affiliate marketing. There are some subtle
and not-so-subtle reasons for that.
1) People like to feel you’re in their “corner”.
When an affiliate marketer takes the time to nurture the members of her niche, solve their
problems and look out for their interests, each member comes to trust the person who does good
things for them – and consistently helps them succeed.
How do you do all these good things?
By finding them exactly the product they need to solve this week’s problem or enhance their lives
(or even just their hobby). You do this by focusing on their problem, not on the product. Strange

Years ago, I had an opportunity to watch a friend at work in a “tack” (equestrian

4) Always focus on your readers. This can’t be said too many times.
Remember, no one is really interested in your expert opinion, even while they’re wanting you to be
that expert. They’re too busy focusing on “Is this going to show me how to do X at last?”
5) Don’t be afraid to be unique, and let people know who you are. Both you and your readers will
have more fun – and the sales you attract will be less likely to generate refunds, because they’ll
be more in line with your market’s real needs.

STEP 1 – Product Selection
Affiliate marketing is where a vendor of a product (such as an eBook) rewards an affiliate (you)
for selling their product usually by paying the affiliate a percentage of the revenue received as
commission for the sale. For example, if you have a blog you could post an affiliate link to an
eBook about losing weight written by someone else. Whenever a visitor comes to your website,
clicks the affiliate link and purchases that eBook for $20, you receive a percentage of the sale.
One of the most popular digital marketplaces with and affiliate program is Clickbank. It’s got
a huge range of over 50,000 products and is very straightforward to use. Many of the products
also sell for quite high prices, giving you a massive commission per sale. For these reasons we’re
going to be using Clickbank as our affiliate network. If you’re interested you might also want to

You’ve probably watched those so-called super affiliates with envy, haven’t you? Don’t be
embarrassed. Everyone started somewhere, and they all looked on with wide-eyed wonder as a select
few individuals seemed to pull money out of thin air.
But is it really that difficult?
No! Honestly, it’s not some kind of voodoo magic. Absolutely anyone can pull in the kind of sales
super affiliates do. You just need to know the tricks!
Here’s the thing… those super affiliates will often tell you to just put up some links online and
that the products really “sell themselves”. Nope. That’s total BS. The fact is, only a very few
products sell themselves. The rest need serious help!
Because most vendors are totally lame. Like, to the max, dude.
They may have the greatest product ever made, and they may have poured their heart and soul, and
tons of money, into its development. It may have even taken them months or years!
But they fell so in love with their product that they believed everyone in the world could see its
value just like they do, so they slapped up any old sales page and figure it would work.

Then they went out and tried to recruit some affiliates to sell it for them, figuring it would
sell itself because it’s just such an awesome product.
The prospect can’t see the quality of the product until after they’ve bought it! So it doesn’t
matter how good that product is if the sales page doesn’t sell it! Here are a few of the most
common factors that cause problems on sales
• Low response sales copy – It just doesn’t excite people. It doesn’t push any emotional buttons.
It’s just blah.
• Sloppy page design – This makes people fear the quality of the product and also makes them worry
about scams. A professional design puts people at ease.
• A Sales Page leak – If the sales page links to a bunch of stuff that won’t make you any money,
it’s costing you sales! It shouldn’t have ads on it. It shouldn’t link to Facebook or Twitter.
It shouldn’t link to the vendor’s blog. It should have critical links only!
• Commission hijacking – Sometimes the vendor is just plain shady. He might have multiple
payment links on the page, but only one gives you commission. The other gives him the direct
sale. (It could be accidental, but it still costs you money!)
So should you promote a sales page with these types of problems? Yes!
If the product is solid, but the sales page is terrible, you can work with it!
There are some tactics you can use to boost your conversions even on products with terrible sales
You’re going to learn how to get killer sales on products with really lackluster sales pages. As
long as the product is good so you don’t harm your reputation, you’re all good!
So now that you understand the basics of what affiliate marketing is, and

you’ve signed up for an account, it’s time to choose a product to sell and become an affiliate!
One of the crucial factors in how much money you’ll make from this system is your choice of
product. It should come as no surprise that some products sell better than others. A product that
sells well will net you a nice profit where as a product that doesn’t sell will obviously not get
you any commissioned sales!
You want to advertise a product that customers actually want and which they genuinely find useful.
So how do you choose a good product?
If you look at the Clickbank marketplace you’ll be able to see all of the products
available for sale, in a variety of niches (a niche is a specifically focused subset of a
market). They have many different statistics which you can use to choose a product.
Here you can search for products in specific niches if you want to and you can see statistics about
each product. You’re able to see how much you’ll get per sale of a product as well as what royalty
percentage you receive in commission. There is another statistic here called gravity which is very

Gravity measures how popular a product is with affiliates. It is also loosely related to how well a
product sells. It’s calculated based on the number of affiliates who have made a sale on that
product recently. A high gravity score means that many affiliates have sold that product recently.
A low score means that not many affiliates have sold that product recently. It does not take into
account the total number of sales for a product, only the number of affiliates that have sold it
recently. It is a good indicator of which products are worth promoting from the marketplace and you
should generally try to choose a product with high gravity.
You want to choose a product that has high gravity, but not too high. A very high gravity score
means that you’ll be competing heavily with other affiliates for a piece of the pie since it’s so
popular. Start off by choosing a product with a gravity score of between 20 and 50. Later on you
can experiment with a range of products.
Some niches have more paying customers than others and certain niches are generally just more
popular. Niches such as health, self help, personal development, weight loss, Xbox, Playstation,
Forex, Diablo, and World of Warcraft are always popular. If you don’t really mind what niche your
product comes from then you can simply use gravity to determine which product is
best for you.

I do advise however that you stay away from any products in the “Make Money Online”, “Gambling” and
“Forex” niche as it is highly saturated (many affiliates in this niche trying to promote the same
products) and it will be difficult to compete amongst all the noise.


You want to choose a product that gives you a high return every time it is sold. The “Average
$/sale” will tell you how much you receive for each affiliate sale. Higher numbers are always
better! Most products have a good return, so choose whatever you are comfortable with. $15 per sale
is a pretty good minimum to aim for.

Once you’ve found a product, the next step is to generate a hoplink. A hoplink (also known as an
affiliate link) is a unique web address that customers can visit to go to the sales page of the
product that you are promoting.

When a customer buys the product through that page (having been directed there via your hoplink)
you will receive commission. The hoplink is the part of the affiliate system which identifies you
as the one who drove a customer through to purchase.
To generate a hoplink, find the product that you are promoting on the Clickbank marketplace. If
you’ve found your product you may have to search for it on the Clickbank marketplace. Click the
promote button.
Next, ensuring that your account nickname is entered correctly, Click Create.
You don’t need a tracking ID. They are used for advanced traffic analytics.
Finally, copy the hoplink to notepad so that we can use it later.

And THAT will be our targeted keyword – the product name.
There is an awesome advantage when you promote the products from
Clickbank – There is literally low competition on Google!
Let me show you an example:
Name of the Product: Diabetes Destroyed
Gravity: 58.44
At the time of writing this report, which is the 2nd of December 2014.
The author of the product is Ricky Everett and his new product is called “Diabetes Destroyed”.
(YES, I’m promoting his product launch. It’s just a great example for you to understand the
principle of my own way to find great buyer keywords.)
Let me Google this product name and show you how ridiculously low the competition for the product
name is right now:
So we have 5k results for “Diabetes Destroyed Review”. If you know only a little thing about
internet marketing you should understand, that this is absolutely no competition.

BUT you have a huge advantage now. You can easily establish your website and take over the first
places within HOURS.
In fact, you will most probable achieve first page rankings just by creating your website and
optimize a few things on that site. Of course I’ll go deeper into the subject of search engine
optimization later in this course.
The buzz which the “big players” create by sending promotional emails to their immense lists will
make the people want to read more about the product and see if it really is worth the money.
Of course the first thing these people will do then is to Google the product name.
However after an in-depth research of the traffic to my affiliate sites in the past years. I’ve
found out that these people not only look for the product name itself, but also for several other
keywords in combination with the product name which you definitely need to consider to target as
Here are the most searched keywords combined with the product name: “Product Name” Review
“Product Name” Bonus
“Product Name” Scam “Product Name” Download “Product Name” Book “Product Name” Does it Work Buy
“Product Name”
and much more…
People who search for these terms want to find out more about the specific product. And you should
be the first one they will find!
Don’t worry I’ll show you HOW to be the first one they’ll find.
Let’s do it now…
Now that we’ve got a great product to promote, we need to find a great keyword to go with it!
A keyword is a short phrase such as “Diabetes Destroyed” which relates to the product. The keyword
is going to be used to generate traffic so that people can find out about the product we

promoting. We want a system where people search for our keyword on Google, find our related
review website, and then click the affiliate link contained within. For this reason, your
keyword must be related to the product you are promoting.
Many keywords related to your product will already be highly competitive. This means that many
other people are also trying to drive traffic to their own websites with the same keyword.
You want to select a keyword which isn’t competitive, but still has many people searching for
it. This is both an art and a science.
Another way to find a keyword related to your product:
Go to the product’s sales page, scroll to the bottom, and look for a link called something like
“Affiliates”. Most of the clickbank product has the affiliate page but some of them don’t have it.
If you find, you’ll have a whole bunch of resources for helping you promote the product better
such as graphics and articles, but you’ll also hopefully find some keywords that the vendor
has researched for you in advance.
Copy these keywords into a notepad on your computer for now.

Once you’ve chosen a product, you need to review it. And that’s where you will build your
reputation as a blogging and review “authority site”.
What’s an “authority site?” Usually one that has been around a good while, continually refreshed
with fresh content, feedback and reputable backlinks. For a great example, check out Darren
Rowse’s Problogger site. Notice the extraordinary number of comments to his posts and guest
posts, as well as the powerful amount of content. These are both hallmarks of Authority sites.
The “been around a good while” is simply something you need to build for – but you can get going
right away with continually refreshed (“new”) content and a solid reputation.
The best way to do this is to concentrate on only one niche, if you haven’t got your list yet, and
start going out of your way to help them solve all their problems. It’s especially important to
start this way if blogging (and review blogging) is new to you – a common mistake would-be review
bloggers make is to set up and try to serve too many new blogs at once.
You’ve heard it all before: “Write as you would to a friend”, etc. Be honest in your reviews.
Review only products that are of high perceived value to them. Never “fake” or force anything. And
follow a plan and review structure.
This doesn’t mean you’ll be imprisoned by plans and structure. It just means that having an
overview and helping readers know what to expect from your reviews works better than haphazardly
zipping off posts on everything that comes along. But the main thing to do? Make yourself an
authority for one niche – and serve it well.

Your Post Headline
This is one of the most important aspects of creating strong review posts. Think back to all the
most intriguing posts you’ve read. Why did they catch your attention?
Ask a Question – In many cases, you’ll find they asked a question. Instead of just “Jean Solar
Powered Fountains” as your post heading, change it to something along the lines of “How Long Do
Jean Solar Powered Fountains Really Last?”

Number it – People like things they can quantify. “3 Things No One Ever Mentions About Jean Solar
Powered Fountains” is far more likely to intrigue curiosity, too.

Diss it – What are people really looking for, when they search for reviews on the net? They’re
looking to see if anyone has gotten scammed by the product creators. So play along with it –
honestly, of course. If there’s one feature you didn’t like or that didn’t work for you, don’t be
afraid to let people know about it: Doing that will set you far apart from other reviewers who only

will catch people’s attention quicker than “The Single Biggest Advantage…”
Be Controversial – don’t do this just for the sake of doing it or being obnoxious, but
if there’s something relevant to your product review that goes against popular practices, don’t be
afraid to hint at that in your headline (but make sure you follow through). For example, “The One
Time You Shouldn’t Use Jean Solar Powered Fountains”.

Your Introduction
A good introduction should have a strong “hook” to make the reader want to keep reading. You want a
show stopper of a sentence – but don’t forget, show stoppers aren’t always the most sensational
sentence. They are, however, sometimes the most unexpected.

Relate the introduction to your reader. One way is to use “you” words. “Where were you, when
internet marketing began online?” But however you start your post, quickly introduce your product
– “Search tools have come a long way since the 1990’s, and Handy Dandy Niche Tool is about as far
from its roots as you could get.”

Most of all, however, your introduction needs to quickly summarize for the reader which product
you’re going to review, what it does, and who makes it. Do this – and then make doubly sure you
cover each one of these promises.
Putting Images in your Posts
The latest data suggests strongly that images enhance a blog’s readability and attractiveness –
but there are some small but important “do’s” and “don’ts” you’ll want to keep in mind.
Don’t make the image huge, and do make it relevant.
In a product review, usually your image would be a screen shot or a graphic provided by the product
merchant: However, if you can come up with another relevant image – especially one that’s
unexpected or unusual (but still really appropriate even to the dimmest of readers) – go for it.
If you can’t create visual interest with an image, then do it instead with white space. Break up
your text with subheads and bullets. Make it visually easy to scan for information – internet users
are turned off by dense chunks of text.
But the most important image to use on your review blog? Yours.
Seriously, people will come to identify you with the good information they’re reading.
And make sure your name is on the post, if you’ve got yourself logged in as “admin”. You can do
this either by including a by line, or a resource box for yourself at the beginning or end of the
post. (It does improve “branding” of your persona as an authority figure. Otherwise, people
often forget who is writing what they’re reading!
Pros and Cons
Of course you want to include the pros – but don’t be afraid to tackle the “cons” too. To find
out what sort of problems people are worried about, with similar products, try to figure out extra
terms they might be searching with in Google, and work from that.

A word of warning, however… It’s true people will input the word “scam”
beside any product they’re not sure about, when searching in Google, like so…
But if a product isn’t actually scamming someone, resist the temptation to make that word part
of your post, just for SEO purposes. If you ignore this suggestion and go for the easy catch, and
your reader clicks on your link, and sees instead of an honest scam report, glowing praises of your
product, with the careless disclaimer, “Jean solar powered fountains are no scam”, you will rapidly
and completely lose all credibility in her eyes.
Some other words that people use in searches that you may be able to substitute for “scam”…
• Review
• Flaw
• Drawback
• Problem
• Not worth it
• Rip-Off
U s e Wordtracker’s free keyword tool and try out your own potential search terms, relating them
closely to how you, yourself, feel about your niche tool product. Feel that it’s got a flaw? Look
to see if there are any searches in the free keyword tool for “niche tool flaw”. Feel that it’s
more of a glitch? Try searching with “niche tool glitch”. The best way to figure out what your
niche customer would search for is to literally put yourself in his place!
A final word about reporting flaws in a product – always remember flaws can actually be seen as an
advantage, to some people.
Example: “It’s true that the Handy Dandy Niche Tool is ridiculously easy to use
– but this is offset by the fact that it’s not highly customizable for those who need a more
in-depth statistical analysis. It is definitely the “for dummies” version of a niche finding
tool – only simpler!”
Now, if your entire target market is composed of complete newbies, this “flaw”

is likely to appeal to them greatly! You weren’t being dishonest – but you were
positioning your flaw to actually become a benefit.
Of course, if your review blog was called “Advanced Marketing Techniques”, this wouldn’t work at
all – its simplistic, foolproof operating mode really would be a disadvantage – but if you’re
running a blog called “Marketing for Newbies”, you’re home free.
How it Works
Most products benefit from a brief description of how it works.
This doesn’t mean you have to spill all its creator’s secrets. It does mean you should focus in on
one aspect you’re particularly pleased about, or hit what you consider are a number of high points.
(“The first benefit that sets Handy Dandy Niche Tool apart from its competitors is…”)
What you are doing is drawing a vivid mental sketch for your reader of the reasons this tool will
work for him or her. You really don’t need to provide a step-by-step manual, and take all the
mystery out of it.
Anything you can do to provide proof of the benefits you’re revealing will go a long way to
solidify the impact of your review on your reader. Be very careful, however, about income claims –
the new FTC rules are very specific. If you mention how much money you made using a system, not
only have you got to be able to prove it with actual documentation, you also need to provide an
overview of what the average user can expect – and that representation has to be provable too.
But there are other ways to provide “proof” too. You can do things like:
• Quote the number of sales since its release
• Show screen shots of some wonderful benefit (e.g., a great keyword phrase turning up in your
Handy Dandy Niche Tool)
• Quote the complete lack of refunds (providing your figure is accurate)

This is just a short paragraph wrapping up the other end of your “parcel”, and mirroring or echoing
your opening statement: For example, tying back to our fictional opening statement: “Where were you
when internet marketing started online?”, we might conclude with something like: “You may not
have been even aware of the internet when marketing online started, but sales aids with advantages
of Handy Dandy Niche Tool can certainly help you get ahead of the pack now.”
Your Call to Action
But you’re not quite done yet. Now comes the most important part of your post
– your “Call to Action”.
As marketers, we’re all familiar with this principle – yet it’s surprising how many people
actually fail to include it!
What is a call to action? In the particular case of review blogs, its simply making sure your
reader knows how to instantly access the product, if he wants to purchase it – in other words,
you provide a link. And don’t forget to tell him, even though it may feel like stating the obvious,
to go visit it.
If you’ve written a “non-review” post – something just to provide your readers with really
valuable information about their niche – you can finish with a different type of call to action:
One which positively invites comments.
No matter what you’re posting about – even if it isn’t a review – always include that call to
action. (If nothing else, it’s 50% more likely to generate comments
– and comments are good!)
Crushing The Competition
All affiliates have competition. If you’re in an extremely competitive niche like internet
marketing, you’ll have to stay way ahead of the competition in order to survive.
There are a few ways you can do this, and start bringing in the same types of commission checks the
big boys do.
Make sure your blog contains the following:

1. Product reviews and announcements. Be honest in your reviews. Don’t just review products for
2. Upcoming products. People want to hear about the latest products right away!
3. Newsletter signups. These are obviously invaluable!
4. Contests. People love contests and will come to your blog just to enter one. They’ll also share
the contest with others!
You always want to presell prospects, because the sales page may not be enough to get them to

So how should you go about preselling? First, establish the basics:

special offer, create a sense of urgency and include a call- to-action. This will increase
conversions. (We’ll take a closer look at this bar later.)

Now here comes the autopilot money making machine! We’re going to create a review blog, fill it
with information on the product that you’re promoting, and place our affiliate link at the end. The
idea is that people will read this review, follow the affiliate link to the vendor’s page, buy a
copy and earn you money.
Sound simple?
It is.
You can review the products you want to promote in the pages of static websites, and in blogs.
We’re going to concentrate on using a blog format. It’s easier than static site reviews by far,
because it takes only minutes to add a new post – and you don’t have to use HTML or CSS.

maintenance – but a word of caution: We are not going to use wordpress.

Go to “Blog” and click on the “+” to create a new review post and once you are done click “Publish”
to make it LIVE.
Now, if you’re lucky enough, your vendor may have even given you some articles already to copy and
paste, meaning you don’t have to do any work at all! Check the same affiliate page that we
mentioned before, the one which hopefully also gave you some keywords. If there’s an article in
there, great! Paste it into your document and format it so that it looks nice.
If you don’t have an article written for you then that’s no problem. Instead, just grab all the
information that you need from the sales page of your product!
Start by copying the headline (the title of the product) and underneath it place the subtext or
whatever other eye-catching statements are at the top of the page. If the product uses images for
its headlines you might want to use those too.
Next, take the core benefits of the product and list them as bullet points. You can often find a
list of summarized benefits somewhere on the sales page. Then use any more information you think
might be interesting to finish creating an exciting article about your product. Your document
should be about a page long, and you can use large fonts to help pad it out.
At the end of your article write “CLICK HERE FOR INSTANT ACCESS!” in a large font and hyperlink it
to your affiliate/hop link that you saved earlier. You can hyperlink in Microsoft Word by

We need to build some traffic towards our post.
By simply submitting your post link to directories, users will be able to find them naturally
through search, however to supercharge this process we’re going to make them rank higher and allow
more people to find them easier with traffic generation.
There are some very straightforward ways to get additional traffic towards your post, some take a
little more effort than others, but all of them bring in more people to look at your post/website.
One of the key concepts here is that we are going to create backlinks to your post. This simply
means creating links from other websites on the internet to your post which will allow them to rank
higher in search engines as well as letting people find them through natural search methods.
Before we start building backlinks it’s very important that your website is first indexed by search
engines. Being indexed means that search engines such as Google know that your website (or post in

Create a twitter profile and put a “follow me” button on the end of every post. If your content is
