5 Step Money System

5 Step Money System
The Business Model
This business model is purely and simply about buying a service at one price, and selling it for a higher price. This is known as arbitrage.
What we are buying and selling is Solo Ads!
There are two main reasons why this model works:
1. We are not limited to how many Solo Ads we can sell. This is because we are not delivering them from our own list.
2. Solo Ads are in high demand sell themselves. This means that you do not need write complicated sales ads to persuade people to buy, because people know they need them and therefore they sell themselves.
The 5 Steps required for the business model are:
1. Create a list of your go to Solo Ad sellers
2. Create your Sales Page
3. Setup your Solo Ads
4. Collect money from your Solo Ad buyers
5. Place your Solo Ad orders
Step 1 to 3 should take a few hours to setup and once that is done you will only need to repeat Steps 4 and 5 to make money, so this is a very light tough business model.
Step 1: Creating a List of Go-to Solo Ad Sellers
We need to find a very particular type of Solo Ad seller that are selling high quality clicks with good reviews, at price that is lower than the others.
Because of the demand on Solo Ads, the market has moved to a point where selling a click for 60c-$1 has become very acceptable. However many Solo Ad providers are still scared to increase their prices as they want to maintain their current customer base, so this is perfect business.
What we are going to be doing is selling out Solo Ad for 55-60c per click (or more if you want to try for a bigger return), which means we will be targeting sellers are selling at 35-45c per click.
The difference between the buy and sell price is the profit.
Here are examples of some what can be achieved: Clicks Sell Price Income Buy Price Expenses Profit

Transaction D

$400.00
$200.00
Your aim will be to build up to at least one transaction per day, and then grow to around 3-5 transactions per day.
To get started I suggest setting up a new document, spreadsheet or text file and create a Solo Ad Sellers Shortlist. Record details such as:
 Name
 Sales Page URL
 Packages
 Price per click for Packages
You can find Solo Ad provided from the following sources:
Facebook
Go to Manny Hernandez Facebook group called “SOLO ADS TESTIMONIALS”. At the time of writing this guide this group has around 20,000 members.
Here is a link to the group:
SOLO ADS TESTIMONIALS
Link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/SoloAdsTestimonials
This will take you to this page:
You can join the group if you wish but it is not necessary.
Look for good feedback and reviews which have links to the Solo Ad provider’s page. Review their sales page and if they match our criteria record them in your Solo Ad Sellers Shortlist.
You can also search through other Solo Ad groups on Facebook. Try searching for “solo ads”, “solo ad testimonials”, “solo ad providers”, “buy solo ads”, etc. Through Facebook alone you should be able to enough Solo Ad providers to get started.
Warrior Forum
I have used the following Warrior Special Offers to find good quality Solo Ad providers. If you are needing to add more to your Solo Ad Sellers Shortlist, I suggest also getting the following:

Reed Floren has spent thousands of dollars testing various Solo Ad sellers and found out who consistently provides the best opt-in rates. Here you will find many suitable Solo Ad sellers to add to your Solo Ad Sellers Shortlist.

Search Google
Search for “solo ads”, “solo ad testimonials”, “solo ad providers”, “buy solo ads”, etc, on Google and add worthwhile sites to your Solo Ad Sellers Shortlist.
Step 2: Creating your Sales Page
You need a Sales Page so our customers can order your Solo Ads. I have setup two sales pages which are:
1. A Classified Ad on the Warrior Forum
2. A self hosted sales page using WordPress
I suggest starting a Classified Ad on the Warrior Forum is you will get some immediate traffic. Make sure you communicate well with your customers and deliver what you promise, to ensure you always receive good comments and feedback.
To assist with setting up a Classified Ad on the forum, view this video:
HOW TO ADD YOUR SALES PAGE TO THE WARRIOR FORUM
Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooI02ZEKv6Q
Your main focus on how to edit your thread and remember you want to be posting in the Classified Ads section and not the Special Offer forum.
Here are some samples of Solo Ads in the Warrior Forum Classified Ads section for reference:

Step 3: Setup your Solo Ads
You now need to get customers visiting your sales page and buying your Solo Ads. This can be done by working through the list below:
 Add a link in your Warrior Forum signature. This will provide additional traffic to your Classified Ad
 Join Safe Swaps and sell your Solo Ads to their 40,000 unique visitors per month
 Join Facebook Solo Ad Groups and offer your Solo Ads there
 Search for Skype groups about Solo Ads. These group are very lucrative
 Advertise or offer your Solo Ads on sites you found while building your Solo Ad Sellers Shortlist
Consider selling your Solo Ads at a break even rate to start with, to build up clients and get reviews. Positive reviews will also help your sales page convert.
Also once you have successfully delivered some Solo Ads to new customers, you will also start receiving orders through word of mouth.
The main thing is to get your Solo Ads listed in as many places as you can find to keep ramping up your Solo Ad exposure.
Step 4: Collect money from your Solo Ad buyers
When you receive an order make sure you communicate well with your customers. Ensure that you confirm you have received their order and when you expected to deliver the order by (you can get this from your Solo Ad sellers you have chose to deliver your order). If anything changes along the way make you communicate this as well.
The key here is to deliver what you promise to ensure you always receive good comments and feedback from your customers.
Step 5: Place Your Solo Ad Orders
Once you receive an order from a customer just place your order with a suitable matching seller in your Solo Ad Sellers Shortlist. Once they have completed your order provide the
details back to your customer. Please note it is important that you remove and details of your seller in your communications with your customer.
Conclusion
What I have just taken you through is my Business Model for one of my income streams. With this model you can begin making $20 per day quickly and form up to $100 per day with some effort. If you give this your full attention for a number of weeks this can be worked up to a $500+ per day model.
All that is required is you take action and keep focussed to be successful.

how to start an internet business
How To Create A $197
Offer In 48 Hours Or Less
So let’s be real. We are in this to do two things.
Help people & make money.
By offering products & services at higher price points, we need
less customers to make more money.
The problem?
It “seems” like a daunting task to put something like that together.
It sounds like a lot of time & work to create the value worth a mid
to high ticket price point.
The good news? It’s not.
I have built a system that allows me to spend the least amount of
time which charging a higher price point AND providing the value
that the customer expects to see.
All without creating a ton of course materials or content upfront.
In fact, what I did was stick up a sales page, a buy button, and
scheduled two emails in my autoresponder.
From that I was in business to sell a $197 offer along with a $47/
m recurring backend offer.
And I made sales.
Can you write just a sales page & two emails?
How long do you think that would take you?
Let’s say you shut down Facebook & email for a few solid hours.
You could hammer out some sales copy easily in a word doc.
It’ll be even easier because I’m going to let you cheat off of my
sales letter. Now don’t go and copy/paste the darn thing, but you
can basically change a few things to match you and your offer
and go.
Two emails? Might take you another hour if you are real new to
this stuff.
That’s about 4-5 hours of dedicated work to get started.
With that you will have a $197 product and recurring upsell.
So here is how your offer works.
You are going to dedicate about 2-3 hours of your time each week
to run the program.
What you are selling is an on-going bite sized step-by-step
training to accomplish a particular goal.
Maybe you are teaching golf and you send them a new lesson
each week on growing their skills.
Maybe you are a guitar instructor and each week they will be sent
a new video lesson with the ultimate goal of mastering the jazz
guitar.
There has to be an end goal. The ultimate thing(s) they want to
achieve from your teaching.
Each week you will send them a new email with that training.
Same day & time of each week.
Now what I did was create a video or a pdf or an audio for each
week’s lesson. Then I send a very short “here’s this week’s
lesson” email.
When I create the lessons I just add those emails to my
autoresponder follow-up sequence for that email list/campaign.
The beauty is in the automation. You create a new lesson each
week and then you never have to create them again.
Once you get all the lessons done over whatever set period of
time it’s then all automated you just drive more traffic and it runs
itself.
All your new buyers will be automatically subscribed to that list
and they will begin to receive all the previous emails in a drip
sequence fashion.
I also point out in the sales letter that each lesson comes with a
homework assignment. This is meant to make the training
actionable.
They have a week to complete the assignment, plenty of time. So
now they are taking weekly victories and by the end they will have
completed their goal.
This really makes this model a winner. Because you aren’t
dumping 2 months worth of content on them all at once. It’s
overwhelming.
Instead you are giving them bite-sized actionable steps with time
for them to do it in their own time.
Now, as for the upsell, I offer as a monthly recurring investment
and they get two very important key things.
1. Unlimited email support with me.
This is powerful. It’s the closest thing to private coaching without
killing yourself in calls. Email you can take your time with.
Email allows you to respond in a proper manner at a time you can
get to it. I rarely get an email from my recurring customers.
But when I do, I’m quick to respond and they are happy just to
know you are there.
Also you’ll have a record of your conversation with them.
2. Access to my mastermind group.
Simple enough, create a group on social media.. FB, Google+ are
both easy places to host a private group. They get access to this
group which also allows them a different kind of access with you
and other members.
Those two offers combined gives them the comfort that someone
is there to help. $47 a month is what I charge.
You could charge $19.95/m or even less, but I encourage you to
keep it higher for two reasons. People who pay more tend to need
you less, they are willing to take action. You want to be paid fairly
for YOUR time.
At $197 + $47/m I’ll gladly give people my attention.
It’s not $1,997 like I know some people charge but the cool thing
is the price is ultimately determined by you.
It depends on what crowd you want to have around you.
Doesn’t it make since to invest your time in people who are willing
to invest their money in you.
Someone who will happily pay you for the value you provide.
The folks who pay more respect you and your time.
So now I’m going to show you the sales page for the offer I
created for my own program.
Don’t exact copy it but feel free to use it as a base letter to work
with.
Here is the sales letter:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/JKennedy/Laid-
Back_Success_Letter.pdf
The best way to learn is to do it.
So what about getting this thing up and running?
Ok, well I listed mine on WarriorPlus.com
You could also choose JVZoo.com but I just have a special place
in my heart for W+.
You can setup your listing in there. You’ll need to create two
“product” listings and an “offer” listing that links those two
“products” together.
They have videos and instructions on the site to show you how to
set this up. It’s not difficult or time consuming.
With WarriorPlus you have the option to receive payments via
PayPal or Stripe. Paypal is a favorite among most in the IM niche.
Outside of IM Paypal is still popular but you might like Stripe
better. I do. Either one works.
Stripe links directly to your bank account. Visit stripe.com for
details.
Now write your sales letter in a word doc. If you have a
WordPress site, it’s easy to use a plugin like WP Profit Builder to
make a nice sales page.
Or you can hand off your word doc to a guy on fiverr.com and
have them put it into an HTML page for you for $5.
Also, I do believe both Word & Pages (for Mac) both have an
Export to HTML function. It works just fine for a simple page like
mine. Upload the HTML file to your webhost.
Then just make sure your sales page link matches what you have
in your WarriorPlus listings. You can get your buy button code
from WarriorPlus, just paste that into your HTML page where you
want the buy button or hand it to your fiverr guy.
Also check in WarriorPlus that you have linked up your
autoresponder. (GetResponse or Aweber)
You can do that under your account settings in W+.
So now go into your autoresponder, go to “autoresponder
messages” and create two autoresponders for the list you will be
using.
The first autoresponder is a “welcome email”. Just say hi and tell
them what to expect.
The next email should have the first lesson in it. It shouldn’t take
you long to write down or record a lesson.
What I did in my first lesson was basically show a mindmap
outline of what the course will entail and how it all links together.
Schedule the both emails to send out immediately upon purchase.
Now you have up to a week to create the next lesson and so on
and so forth. Easy peasy.
Another beautiful thing about this method is that once you’ve
completed all the lessons, you can then package them all up into
one complete product which you can sell for even MORE.
You can set this up for any niche. It does not have to be internet
marketing. It needs to be in something you love to talk about.
I personally love to talk about business with anyone and
everyone. Is there a subject that you are the same way with?
What is it that you talk about with everyone? You know what it is.
That is your niche. People who enjoy it like you do will come
along and buy and be a part of your community.
Of course, you have to REACH the community.
So how do we get your offer out there? You basically have 3
options… free social media traffic, no out of pocket affiliate traffic,
paid advertising.
Personally I prefer affiliate traffic. That’s not to say that any other
way won’t work.
Essentially what you want to do for the affiliate route is find the
community of people online in your niche.
In IM that is places like the WarriorForum, W+ & JVZoo
Marketplaces, there are also many more.
For the “bass fishing” niche, there is a HUGE forum, comparable
in size to warrior forum. Pretty much every niche will have a forum
somewhere, or groups on social media.
Finding your niche community is not hard if you are looking.
Find the people with big followings. People who have high ranking
blogs (they will also have an email list), people on YouTube with
lots of channel subscribers.
Connect with these people.
This is how I grew my business in IM, connecting with the people
in the industry. Do that in your industry and you can rise.
Just one high rank blogger with a list can bring you hundreds of
sales within a day or two’s time.
I give affiliates 50% on this offer FE & BE. But I actually don’t
have affiliates raw mail to it.
For me personally, I have other products out there that affiliates
mail to and puts people on my list. Once those people are on my
list then I email them about the offer. Generating my own traffic
and sales from my own list so I get 100% of those $197 & $47
payments.
Alternatively you can just pay for traffic. Running advertisements
on social media has never been easier.
There is a wealth of information out there on how to highly target
the right audience for your niche.
You can just as easily do a video sales letter, where you use
powerpoint and your voice (or some guy on fiverr’s voice).
Video presentation sales pages generally work better for social
media audiences. This is because they are in “entertainment”
mode and likely just want to poke around at images and videos to
fill their thoughts in between work and life.
Recap
Step-by-step:
1. Outline what you would teach either in a mindmap or word
doc. Your course should take them from point A to point B (B
being the ultimate goal) in a step by step format.
2. Write your sales page. You can use mine that I linked to above
as a reference if you’d like.
3. Write a sales page for your upsell (optional) for unlimited
email support & mastermind group.
4. Use WarriorPlus.com to create your listings. Connect your
autoresponder in WarriorPlus and link it to your FE product.
5. Go to your autoresponder and enter in two email followups for
your list (of customers who buy your product). One email is a
welcome email, the other email is their first training lesson.
For your first lesson I recommend showing & going over your
course outline in more detail so they will know what to expect,
also include a mini-EASILY-accomplishable homework
assignment. The first one needs to be something super easy
they can do quickly.
6. Connect with people in your niche who have big followings. In
the IM niche, look on WarriorJV.com FB Group or vendors on
Warrior+ and JVZoo. Inside and outside of the IM niche
Google search for high ranking blogs and offer the blog
owners a commission of profit from sales (50%) to offer it to
their followers/list. Google search high traffic forums in your
niche. Most big forums will have marketplaces. Also connect
with the top members on the forum (usually people with LOTS
of posts who’ve been there a while).
Run paid advertising on social media. Target people who like
high profile companies or people in your niche. Ex: In the bass
fishing niche I might target people who like or follow “Bass Pro
Shops” or “Bassmaster Fishing Club” or “Bill Dance” (a
popular fisherman). Now you know you are targeting the right
audience effortlessly.
BONUS TIP: In the IM niche, running a $1 WSO for a short
report is an easy way to get traffic & subscribers where you
can then promote your mid-ticket product to them.
7. Now all you need to do is sit for 2-3 hours and write a new
lesson each week.
8. Enjoy making some nice money!
Don’t let your own self perception slow you down. You have a lot
more potential than you think you do.
If you apply yourself and your knowledge, truly think about how
you can help others.
If you stick to the golden rule then you will never be poor.
Really make this about something you enjoy that you want to
share with others.
Sure you can take an all business “let’s just do what’s hot”
approach. But allowing yourself to think outside the box and go
after something you think about all the time.
That’s the ticket.
That’s the ticket to big ticket.
Zig Ziglar said one of my favorite sentences ever:
“You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help
other people get what they want.”

the
48
hour
method,
I
usually
approach
them
with
an
offer
to
help
them
with
PPC
and
media
buying
campaigns.
Many
of
the
swipes
I
give
here
offer
a
‘reputation
management
consultation’
because
I
Bind
it’s
what
works
best,
and
is
currently
a
hot,
un-‐tapped
service
to
offer.
There
are
3
things
to
keep
in
mind
when
choosing
the
initial
service
to
offer:
1. Demand
2. Saturation
3. Your
current
skill
level
The
best
way
to
start
is
to
write
down
the
topics
you
are
most
knowledgeable
in
(or
could
learn
quickly
using
the
Google)
and
sort
them
based
on
your
level
of
competence.
Then
consider
the
other
two
factors.
Ask
yourself
2
simple
questions:
1. Which
of
these
services
is
trendy
and
in
demand?
2. Which
of
these
services
has
the
least
number
of
people
offering
it?
The
Internet
marketing
business
moves
quickly,
and
in
my
experience
the
following
services
have
very
little
luster
left:
1. SEO
2. Social
Media
Guru’s
3. Web
Design
4. Web
Hosting
5. Link

6. Press

one
of
these

And
business

Now
that’s
not
to

this

those

I’m
just

the
ones

2. Google

4. Reputation

focusing
on
Reputation
Management
as
I
think
it
is
the
easiest
to

clients.
Why
do
I
like
reputation
management
so
much?
Because
no
matter
what
else
I
am
selling,
I
ALWAYS
come
across
a
business
owner
who
has
a
problem
with
bad
online

Outsourcing
Services
Who
wants
to
do
actual
work?
I
think
everyone
has
the
wrong
idea
when
it
comes
to
outsourcing…
It’s
not
their
fault,
most
eBooks
and
guru
courses
will
tell
you
to
just
book
a
client
and
then
outsource
their
work
on
magical
sites
like
elance
or
Biverr.
BEFORE
you
start
pitching
clients
or
using
the
48
hour
method
you
need
to
decide
if
you
will
outsource
the
work.
I
recommend
doing
the
work
yourself
and
becoming
an
expert
in
the
Bield
of
your
choice.
Yes
that’s
right,
I
am
telling
you
to
do
actual
work
and
not
to
think
that
you
can
just
‘outsource’
this
on
elance.
The
truth
is,
at
least
in
my
experience,
the
quality
and
reliability
of
work
you
generally
get
on
sites
like
elance
will
leave
you
(and
your
client)
frustrated.
I
strongly
do
not
recommend
going
out
booking
clients
and
then
trying
to
Bind
some
freelancer
in
India
who
will
work
on
your
project
for
magic
beans…
It
just
doesn’t
end
well.
That’s
not
to
say
I
am
against
outsourcing…
In
fact
quite
the
opposite

when
it’s
done
the
right
way.
If
you
want
to
outsource
the
service
you
will
be
providing,
Bind
the
outsourcer
or
the
service
you
want
to
use
ahead
of
time.
Spend
the
money
and
test
them
out
for
yourself.
I
want
you
to
feel
100%
conBident
in
the
outsourcer
you
are
working
with
BEFORE
you
talk
to
a
single
client
or
use
the
48-‐hour
method.
Nothing
is
worse
than
booking
a
4-‐Bigure
check
from
a
local
business
only
to
have
to
return
the
money
later
because
your
outsourcer
didn’t
deliver.
It’s
happened
to
me…
Don’t
let
it
happen
to
you!
It
sucks

THE
FORGOTTEN
SOCIAL
NETWORK
So…
You
have
the
‘networking’
and
not
the
‘salesman’
mindset…
You
have
a
service
you
want
to
offer
local
businesses
(preferably
reputation
management)…
And
if
you
are
outsourcing
the
work
you
have
a
trusted
and
tested
outsourcer
you
are
conBident
will
come
through
for
you…
Now
it’s
time
to
learn
about
the
social
network
we
will
be
getting
our
leads
form.
Introducing
Meetup.com
Meetup.com
is
a
social
network
that
consists
of
local
groups
that
share
a
common
interest.
These
groups
communicate
online
and
have
‘meet-‐
ups’
where
they
get
together
and
share
their
common
passion.
This
one
social
network
has
been
my
dirty
little
secret
for
years…

Why
Meetup.com?
So
why
are
we
using
this
network
to
generate
ofBline
leads?
Well
for
starters,
it’s
massive:
Meetup.com
has
13.31
million
members
and
almost
124,000
groups
at
the
time
of
this
writing.
If
you
go
through
this
site
you
will
see
groups
for
every
topic
imaginable
in
almost
every
city
on
the
globe.
Our
goal
is
to
Bind
and
market
to
the
groups
of
business
owners
who
are
looking
to
network
with
other
entrepreneurs.

To
Meet
Or
Not
To
Meet
Groups
on
Meetup.com
are
focused
on
having
‘meetups’
where
everyone
in
the
group
gets
together.
The
48
hour
client
method
focuses
exclusively
on
online
marketing
methods
to
these
groups.
This
means
you
never
have
to
attend
these
meetups,
and
you
can
market
to
groups
located
anywhere
in
the
world,
not
just
your
home
city.
The
groups
we
will
be
joining
are
business
owners
looking
to
network,
and
nothing
works
better
than
going
out
and
meeting
face
to
face
with
a
business
owner
as
an
equal
and
offering
them
value.
All
of
the
strategies
in
this
course
can
be
done
in
person…
and
depending
on
your
personality
and
social
skills,
it
may
work
even
better.
It’s
not
required,
but
I
recommend
going
to
the
meetups
and
offering
your
services
there
in
person
as
well
as
using
the
strategies
you
are
about
to
learn

Finding

Groups
The
Birst
step
in
our
method
is
to
Bind
groups
to
market
too.
We
are
looking
for
business
owners,
or
people
who
can
give
us
referrals
to
business
owners.
It’s
best
to
start
in
your
local
area
when
looking
for
groups
because
you
will
be
able
to
attend
the
meet-‐ups
and
meet
with
potential
clients
in
person.
This
method
does
not
require
you
to
do
either,
so
feel
free
to
Bind
groups
anywhere
in
the
world.
The
larger
the
city,
the
more
groups
and
members
you
will
Bind

but
don’t
neglect
the
smaller
towns
where
business
owners
aren’t
exposed
to
as
much
marketing
as
in
larger
cities.
Some
of
my
best
clients
and
easiest
sales
came
from
groups
in
small
towns.

Meetup.com
will
automatically
select
the
city
based
on
your
current
city,
but
feel
free
to
change
this
to
anywhere
you
like.
I
recommend
searching
within
as
large
a
radius
as
possible
to
return
the
most
results,
unless
you
intend
on

Then
you

conduct
you

You

to
Bind
groups
that
business
owners

individuals

join.
The
categories
that
have
worked
best
for
me,
are
circled:
Community
and
environment:
I
occasionally
Bind
local
commerce
groups
in
this
category,
and
some
environmental
groups
that
have
websites
and
are
open
to
things
like
mobile
development.
Career
&
Business:
The
most
obvious
category
to
Bind
groups
full
of
local
business
owners.
Movements
&
Politics:
Similar
to
community
and
environment,
I
occasionally
Bind
groups
in
this
category
that
contain
local
political
parties,
businesses,
and
local
authority
Bigures
who
can
use
services
like
reputation
management.
Tech:
Groups
in
the
tech
category
often
have
members
that
own
a
local
business
and
are
trying
to
learn
how
market
online.
These
are

Mass
Mailing
Groups
Not
all

The
one’s
that

still
valuable

you

join

but
for
the
purposes
of
the
48

we
are
going
to
focus
exclusively
on
groups
that
have
mailing
lists.
When
you
view
a

you
will
Bind
a

If
this
sub
tab
is
missing
from
the

then
the

does
not
allow
mass

For

Bind
it
is
the
easiest
and
most
direct
way,
send
out
as
many
messages
as
you
can
and
let
the
interested
parties
reach
back
to
you
so
you
can
get
everything
done
without
having
to
leave
your
home
ofBice.
But
there
is
SO
MUCH
more
potential
networking
with
group
members
in
person
at
the
meet-‐ups.
These
meet-‐ups
will
be
business
owners
who
are
looking
to
network
and
get
new
ideas.
At
these
meetings
I
always
Bind
at
least
one
person
who
has
had
a
problem
with
bad
reviews
online.
All
you
need
to
do
is
introduce
yourself
as
someone
who
cleans
up
bad
reviews
and
people
will
open
up
to
you
about
their
problems.
The
trick
is
to
be
as
open
and
non-‐salesy
as
you
can.
Offer
your
advice,
and
even
tell
them
everything
they
can
do
to
clean
up
their
reputation
themselves.
When
a
business
owner
sees
value,
they
will
very
rarely
try
to
do
everything
themselves,
they
will
approach
you
about
doing
the
job
for
them.

GETTING
THE
SALE
By
now
if
you
have
been
taking
action
while
reading
this
course
you
should
have
received
a
few
emails
and
possibly
some
phone
calls
about
your
service.
When
you
receive
these
inbound
leads
it’s
important
to
remember
not
to
hard
sell
the
prospect,
these
are
group
members
and
you
want
them
to
sing
your
praises
to
the
rest
of
the
group!
Some
of
the
best
clients
I
have
gotten
with
this
method
did
not
actually
come
from
the
leads
themselves

they
came
in
the
form
of
referrals.
Let
me
explain:
At
times
I
would
never
try
to
pitch
the
leads
I
get
from
the
48-‐hour
method,
I
simply
provide
them
with
free
service.
I
help
clean
their
reputation,
build
them
a
quick
mobile
site,
or
any
other
service
at
no
charge
and
with
no
sales
pitch.
These
members
go
on
to
sing
my
praises
to
the
rest
of
the
group
and
gives
me
MASSIVE
social
proof,
and
soon
the
other
group
members
can’t
send
me
money
fast
enough
to
get
the
same
service.
There
is
no
greater
selling
tool
than
a
happy
customer
who
will
sing
your
praises.
You
can
try
the
free
servicing
method
for
yourself.
Just
make
sure
if
you
do
any
work
for
a
prospect
at
no
charge,
you
at
least
ask
them
for
a
referral
or
to
introduce
you
to
other
group
members
who
may
need
your
help.
For
now,
we
are
not
going
to
offer
our
service
for
free,
we
are
going
to
use
a
‘free
consultation’
to
sell
our
real
service.

Scheduling
Appointment/Call
When
you
receive
a
phone
call
about
your
service
you
have
to
option
to
go
into
the
presentation
right
off
the
bat.
Before
you
do,
always
ask
the
prospect
if
it
is
a
good
time
to
discuss
it,
or
if
they
would
like
to
discuss
it
later.
One
of
the
golden
rules
of
cold
calling
is
you
NEVER
use
the
line
“is
this
a
good
time?”
When
cold
calling
or
doing
any
other
form
of
sales
call,
this
will
immediately
give
the
prospect
the
opportunity
to
say
they
don’t
have
time
for
you,
and
hang
up
the
phone.
But
with
this
method
the
prospect
is
pre-‐sold,
and
is
calling
you
for
his
consultation,
so
the
rule
doesn’t
apply.
When
you
receive
emails
from
group
members,
which
happens
more
often
than
receiving
phone
calls,
it’s
best
to
reply
to
each
one
asking
for
a
good
time
to
call,
and
a
number.
I
never
reply
to
them
giving
them
my
number
and
expecting
to
call,
always
ask
for
their
number
so
you
can
call
them.
This
will
help
weed
out
the
ones
who
are
wasting
your
time
as
well.
Never
ask
an
open
question,
this
applies
to
your
email
replies,
or
when
trying
to
set
up
an
appointment
over
the
phone.
For
example:
The
line
“when
would
you
like
to
do
this
call?”
Is
nowhere
near
as
effective
as
saying
“I
am
available
Saturday
at
6,
or
Monday
at
5,
which
is
better
for
you?”
When
giving
a
prospect
options,
they
can’t
answer
no,
or
never,
or
‘let
me
get
back
to
you’.
Asking
them
to
come
up
with
a
time
has
a
much
lower
closing
rate
than
just
giving
them
two
options.

Free
Value
Method
I
have
a
very
simple
strategy
to
close
prospects
when
on
a
sales
call
or
a
good
old-‐fashioned
sit.
My
strategy
is
to
teach
them
everything
they
need
to
know
to
do
it
all
themselves.
With
reputation
management
for
example,
I
start
by
showing
them
everywhere
people
can
leave
a
review,
and
where
some
of
their
worst
reviews
are
located.
I
also
show
them
how
they
can
Bind
new
reviews
each
week
to
stay
abreast
of
what
people
are
saying
online
about
them.
I
walk
them
through
the
process
of
using
social
media
and
press
releases
to
push
bad
reviews
and
other
bad
press
down
in
search
engines…
Then
I
explain
to
them
how
to
use
QR
tags
and
a
redirect
page
to
make
their
happy
customers
leave
a
good
review
and
the
unhappy
customers
can
complain
in
private,
improving
the
overall
reputation.
All
of
which
I
will
explain
to
you
in
a
coming
section
😉
Once
the
consultation
is
done,
they
will
have
all
the
knowledge
and
tools
they
need
to
clean
their
own
reputation.
It’s
at
this
point;
that
I
make
them
an
offer
they
can’t
refuse!

outlining
our
entire
strategy
and
laying
our
cards
on

we

and

massive
value.
If
they
immediately
decide
they
will
do
it
all
themselves
(which
rarely
ever
happens)
you
can
simply
ask
them
for
a
referral
for
your
advice.
They
will
be
more
than
happy
to
refer
someone
to
you,
and
more
importantly
they
will
feel
obligated
to
do
so.

I

“Now
I

this
may
seem
complicated,
and
in
some
cases
my
clients
have
so
much
negativity
being
said
about
them
online
that
it
takes
me
a
few
months
to
push
most
of
it
out
of
sight.
In
your
case,
I
know
I
could
get
everything
done
in
a
week
and
you
would
see
an
immediate
boost
in
your
business
because
less
customers
will
be
turned
away
by
all
of
this…
…and
I
strongly
recommend
you
try
everything
I
have
outlined
here,
this
is
hurting
your
business
and
it’s
only
going
to
get
worse.
Now
I
know
you’re
busy
running
your
business,
and
if
you
like
I
can
get
everything
for

and
solve
this

once

for
all.
Normally
in
a
case
like
this,
I
charge
$997
to
clean
everything
up,
and
$497
a
month
to
keep
your
reputation
intact…
But
I
can
make
you
a
deal.
If
you
can
put
a
good
word
in
for
me
with
the
group,
and
introduce
me
to
one
other
person
who
may
need
my
help,
I
can
do
everything
for
$197
and
just
$97
a
month.
At
this
price
I
don’t
even
make
money,
this
covers
the
cost
of
the
automation
tools
I
use
to
speed
up
the
process.
For
me,
the
value
is
in
the
relationship
that
I
would
like
to
establish
here
today.
I
can
set
everything
up
right
through
paypal,
would
you
like
to
get
started
today,
or
wait
until
Monday?“
After
you
say
this
pitch…
SHUT
UP!
He
will
say
umm…
And
well….
And
he
will
pause
and
think
before
he
answers
you.
The
rookie
thing
to
do
is
to
try
to
sell
him
in
that
moment,
the
best
thing
to
do
is
just
wait
it
out
and
let
the
uncomfortable

push
him
to
say
yes

This
never

Once
you
have
a

your
upfront

and
the
recurring
payments.
I
love

my

and
if
you

I

this

is

provide
this

to

Unfortunately
people
are
more
likely
to
take
the
time
to
complain
than
they
are
to
give
praise,
and
this
is
why
businesses
that
do
not
actively
encourage
positive
feedback
will
Bind
the
majority
of
feedback
they
see
online
to
be
negative.
The
Birst
step
is
for
businesses
to
approach
customers
with
and
incentive
for
leaving
their
feedback.
The
best
incentive
is
a
coupon,
coupons
have
the
added
beneBit
of
making
customers
repeat
customers.
I
like
to
provide
businesses
with
a
simple
website
with
the
following
headline
(example
is
for
a
restaurant):
“Give
us
your
opinion
and
receive
a
free
meal”
Under
the
headline
you
have
two
buttons.
One
reads,
“I
enjoyed
this
meal”
The
other
reads,
“I
did
not
enjoy
this
meal”
When
customers
click
on
the
button
that
states
they
had
a
positive
experience,
send
them
to
Yelp,
or
any
other
review
site
where
the
client
needs
more
positive
reviews.
The
negative
button
directs
the
customer
to
a
simple
‘contact
us’
form
where
they
can
vent
and
voice
their
complaints

in
private.
This
simple
system
encourages
good
reviews
and
keeps
the
bad
ones
in

The Secret To Earning Earn $100,000+ per Year While Working Only Two Hours Per Day

EARNINGS DISCLAIMER
The earnings that you actually experience will depend on the amount of labor that you put into your
efforts as well as your ability, experience, education, market trends, search engine algorithms,
and many more personal and external factors. We do not guarantee or otherwise promise that you will
earn any particular amount of money.
Who Am I?
My Kiddo and Me Enjoying the St Louis Zoo (Something living the internet lifestyle allows me to do
any time the mood strikes)
So just a quick heads up, this is not a typical ebook that you’d purchase from me. There’s no fancy
formatting, no structured chapters, no real flow, etc.
This is simply a down and dirty off the cuff view into one of the ways I earn money online.
But before I dive in let me give you the brief 30,000 feet overview of who I
am.
I started online marketing in 2005 and SUCKED at it big time.
I lost my butt month after month year after year until I finally had a breakthrough.
In 2010 I had my first five figure year.
Then, In 2011, I had the real epiphany of my career I decided to stop spending all my energy
promoting other people’s products and started building my own.
In less than six months I broke six figures net and from that point forward never looked back.
Since then I’ve had a hand in millions of dollars in transactions online, yes millions.
Am I a millionaire?
Not yet I’m not, but I’ve managed to do pretty well for myself and realistically there’s no reason
you can’t do the same.
Here’s the inside scoop though as fancy and impressive as all the above may sound, I made SERIOUS
mistakes getting from point A to B.
I nearly destroyed my marriage chasing this “impossible” dream. I missed out on time with my
daughter that I’ll never get back. And I sacrificed my health all to make this happen.
But NONE of it was necessary.
(These days my marriage is amazing, my daughter and I spend loads of quality time together, and I
hired a personal trainer who keeps my butt active at the gym six days a week)
The majority of the time I invested into my business was a total waste that achieved no measurable
results.
And that’s why in this pdf I’m going to show you how to avoid becoming another marketer who sits at
his/her desk 60 hours week while only getting
5 or 10 hours of real work done.
I don’t want you to go through the hell I went through so please, pay special attention!
I promise you I’ll lay out exactly how anyone can earn six figures per year while only working 2
hours per day.
(And yes, you get to take weekends off!)
In other words I want to teach you how to build a “Lifestyle business” aka a business that allows
you plenty of time to enjoy yourself while still covering your financial needs.
Let’s Dive In
So what business model am I going to show you today? Well I’m glad you asked…
The model I’m referring to is product development but more specifically software products.
By the way, I don’t actually do any programming myself. I couldn’t program my way out of a wet
paper bag.
Don’t worry if it sounds scary or expensive, its not near as bad as you have been led to believe.
(There’s a reason most successful software vendors try and spread the myth that it cost tens of
thousands to start etc the less people making software the less competition they have to deal
with)
Software isn’t the only way I earn online but its by far my favorite because of the extremely low
time requirement and massive ROI it provides on my money invested.
But…
Before I begin let me address the big pink elephant in the room.
If this model works so well and I’m making money with it why would I tell other people about
it…and if I was going to tell other people why in the heck wouldn’t I charge a lot more than I
am?!?
And the answer is…I dunno.
Yea, I know I know… I should have some sort of brilliant plan to monetize this info but the
reality is I was sitting in the waiting room of a Dr office
bored out of my mind and randomly decided that I wanted to write this pdf if enough people were
interested so I threw up a post on my Facebook wall stating I’d create this product if at least 50
people hit “like.”
And because 50+ people liked that post I have my proof of interest. So I figure its like this; I’ll
write this ebook and hook you up for next to
nothing.
Then when you take action with it and have some success I’d like to think that you’ll reach out and
offer a testimonial for me that I can use for my high ticket mentoring program.
Yes, one of the ways I earn money online is through high ticket
($500$10,000) programs.
Want to guess where the leads for those programs come from? DING DING DING, my software products!
Or heck, maybe you’ll decide by the end of the report that I actually know a little about what I’m
talking about and want to hire me yourself that would count as monetization right?
I have to tell you for a long time I have wanted to share this information with people but I
really felt like it would be a waste of time because the minute people heard the words “software”
they’d run for the hills.
I hope like heck that my fears are unfounded and you prove me wrong by taking this info and
changing your life.
Over the last three to four years I’ve developed and sold dozens of different software products.
The least expensive of these was a tool called TubeSpy that cost me $650 to build (I also gave my
developer a $200 bonus on top of that).
**I’ve actually developed software that cost less than that but I used them as lead bait or gave
them away as bonuses so technically I did not “sell” them.
The most expensive was an affiliate network called ProductPay.com (I sold my ½ of the company in
December 2012).
And even though over $4.5 millon in sales have happened on ProductPay,
it was actually TubeSpy that changed the course of my career and my life.
You see, when I launched TubeSpy in the summer of 2011, my biggest month ever online was just shy
of $8,000 and on average I was making less than ½ of that… yet within 72 hours of making the
software available for sale I had over $52,000 in sales.
The #’s That Changed My Life
To put that in perspective, in 2005 when I started online marketing I had just been fired from my
job where I was earning $31,500 PER YEAR as a district manager for a local payday advance company.
And, TubeSpy was my FIRST ever software product. I didn’t have a clue what I was doing I was
simply “winging it.”
Looking back, knowing what I know now, I could have very easily made
34x more money on that product but hindsight is always 20/20.
(For example, one mistake I made was only making it available for sale for one week before closing
the offer, forever.)
The bottom line is having my first ever $10,000+ day really changed my entire mindset.
I knew right then that I wanted to develop software for a living and I’ve been doing it ever since.
Hopefully you’re starting to see the potential here because now I’m going to show you how to
actually do it yourself.
Step One Market Research
In nearly every marketing course I’ve ever taken I was told that I needed to find a problem and
then provide a solution to that problem.
That method works, and works well but I have to tell you I rarely go seeking problems when it comes
to software.
Instead, I simply look at what is already selling and model it. Notice, I said model, not copy.
Copying a product means you basically copy it exactly as it is, sorta like what Google did (in my
opinion) with Google Docs vs Microsoft Excel.
Copying a product is, in my opinion, very unethical and leads to a very bad reputation in most
cases.
In fact, just a few weeks back I saw a very large vendor venting on
Facebook about how someone had copied his software almost to the T.
I can guarantee you that person who copied it will never get a promotion from this person!
Google gets away with it because they’re Google but I wouldn’t recommend trying it as a “small
time” developer.
Instead what I like to do is find a product that is selling well and look for ways that I can
improve it.
Perhaps its confusing to use and I can simply provide a more user friendly
UI (user interface).
Maybe its missing some options that would make it a lot better tool. Maybe it has too many
unnecessary options and I can improve it by
“dumbing” it down.
The list goes on and on but the reality is, you need to not only improve a product but also change
the look/feel.
If you want to learn more about modeling I recommend you check out a book called “Steal like an
artist” which is a New York Times Best Seller.
I’m not affiliated with the book in any way just read it a few times in the last year or so and
really liked it.
You can grab it on Amazon for around eight bucks.
Step Two Wireframing
This is the part that most people seriously screw up.
Every time someone comes to me and says..James I hired a developer but the software he made isn’t
anything like what I actually wanted I ask to see their wire frame.
And guess what…
Every time they respond with..what’s a wireframe..or I didn’t do one. So what the heck is a
wireframe?
Well, I like to think of it as the “blueprint” for my software.
Could you imagine the result if I hired a contractor to build a house for me but rather than
building off a blueprint they just built on the fly based off of suggestions I gave them verbally?
The end result would be a disaster and that’s exactly what happens with most people who try to
develop software for the first time.
You absolutely have to look at your developer as a “robot.”
That robot is going to do exactly what your wireframe tells him to do his job is not to design
the software his job is to program it to your specifications.
There are several ways to create a wireframe. Here are some ways I like to do my wireframes: Draw
it on a piece of paper
I can then snap a picture of it with my phone and send it to my
developer
Use Powerpoint or Keynote
I used to do this when I started out but most often I go with option 3 now
Use wireframing software
There are loads of affordable options online for wireframe tools, many of the free versions
will serve your purpose just fine
How about I show you an example of an actual wireframe for one of my software products?

Pretty cool right?
I used a free software to make this image and then handed it to my developer. He knew exactly what
buttons should be there, what they should do, the lay out, etc.
And guess what, here’s a screenshot of the actual tool when it was finished.

Do you see how amazingly close to my wireframe that is?
Its all because I gave him a blueprint he could follow to build me the exact tool I was imagining
in my mind.
If you do a great job with your wireframe the chances of you getting what you want are dramatically
improved.
Oh, and it also reduces the cost of development because it saves your developer time!
Step 3 Hiring
In all seriousness, I could write an entire book on outsourcing/hiring without breaking a sweat. In
fact, I’ve taken courses that cost as much as $2,000 that cover nothing but this one topic so
there’s no way I can get as detailed here as I would like to but I’m going to give you some basic
tips that will get
you rolling. (and trust me, these tips were more than I had when I was starting out)
Unless you’re a programmer yourself then you’re going to need to hire people to build your software
for you.
Either that or you’re going to have to learn how to program. And even if you do know how to
program, I never recommend
programming your own products unless of course money is super tight.
Its extremely time consuming and time is the most valuable resource we have. Its finite and can
never be replaced.
So how then do you go about finding qualified programmers to build your software for you?
Easy peasy.
I use Odesk.com and Elance.com (Both of these are in the process of shutting down for good, they’ve
merged into a new site called Upwork.com) for all my hiring nowadays.
I’ve also used Freelancer.com, Rentacoder.com (no longer around), OnlineJobs.ph, manilla
craigslist, etc.
There are loads of freelance sites out there and while they all have pros and cons, they’re pretty
much the same at the most basic level.
Simple toss up a job with a description of what you want build and then sit back and relax while
applications come in.
Be sure to keep your job description somewhat brief as you don’t want to give away your idea to any
competitors that also use the same freelance sites.
Once you have 1020 applicants you’ll want to start the interview process. This is when I give
specific details on the job on an individual basis and
assess their skills.
Assessing skills is a bit of an acquired talent but there are some things you can watch for even
when first starting out.
#1 Ignore their previous work.
I’d say that probably every outsourcing course I’ve ever bought told me to base my decision off a
applicant’s previous work.
And for the life of me I can’t figure out why! Its just flat out terrible advice.
The fact is they can easily fake a resume.
So rather than trusting a bunch of links they give you and screenshots you have to go with your
gut.
#2 Pay close attention to response times.
The last thing you want is to hire a programmer that takes hours or days to respond when you ask
them a question or need to talk with them.
If I add a potential candidate to skype and in the middle of our conversation he/she seems to
vanish for several minutes at a time I simply move on.
#3 Check their profile to see how many open jobs they’re working on.
One of the biggest mistakes I made when starting out was not doing this..and it cost me big. One
specific project that nearly cost me over
$3,000 blew up in my face when the programmer quoted 6 weeks for the job but more than six months
later still had not completed it..and in fact he never completed it. I was fortunate enough to only
lose my initial payment of $300 (10%).
What I found out after the fact was this developer was working on more than a dozen projects at
once for a dozen different clients, there was no way he could handle it all.
You really have to keep a close eye on this because a lot of times what you’ll run into is a
“middle man” who is not a programmer at all but he’s out there bidding on jobs and then hiring
developers on his own to complete them.
Then if a programmer doesn’t come through for him he can’t deliver on the job and you’re the one
that suffers.
#4 Test them
Now, this is a bit of an advanced strategy but I thought I’d throw it in here for good measure.
If you have any friends you know who are programmers who you know
100% you can trust, have them whip up a tiny program of some sort
something that would takes them only two to three hours.
Then in your interview process, give the applicants the details of the test job and ask how long it
would take them to do this job.
Any that answer 23 hours hire and tell them to build it and give them a time limit of three hours.
Anyone that answers much higher, end the interview process they’re either trying to overcharge
you or they’re not good enough.
Now, anyone that actually gets the software done in the 3 hour window is a legit programmer and you
know it.
The downside to this method is you’ll need to pay them for the time they work on the software but
it is very very effective for weeding out the “wannabes.”
#5 Keep your cards close to your chest
Don’t ever let a developer know you’re clueless when it comes to programming.
Consider yourself the owner of your company, and make them consider you one as well. They don’t
need to know you’re a solo person operation.
If you let them know you’re clueless you’re very likely to regret it.
When I first started doing mobile games I once paid a guy $300 to change my ad IDs in my code. I
had no idea what the job was worth and it sounded decent enough.
Later I learned how to change the id’s myself and discovered it was literally a FIVE MINUTE job!!!
So don’t think for one minute that a programmer won’t try and take you for every dime you have if
you let them know you know nothing about programming.
Step 4 Development
The development stage is actually one of the least time consuming parts for the entire process for
you because the reality is you’re not doing much.
The key to being in business is outsourcing the stuff you’re not good at or the tasks that are not
worth your time most people already know that.
The thing is, most people never get there because they’re afraid to let go of control.
One of the most beautiful parts of a software business is you HAVE to let go unless you are a
programmer yourself of course.
With all that being said, there is a sure fire way to almost guarantee poor results with your
software.
And that is to ignore the development process altogether.
If you hand your wireframe to a programmer and then fail to speak to them until the project is done
its a risky move on your part.
You should be getting daily updates of where the project is at AND MOST IMPORTANTLY daily builds of
the source code.
I can’t tell you how many people I know who don’t do this and its unbelievably scary to me.
If you’re not getting regular updates of the source code and things go south with your developer
you’re basically just out of luck. You have nothing to show for your money.
If on the flip side you’re always getting daily updates of the source code this does two things.
1) Guarantees you have at least something for your money if your developer goes MIA on you
2) Keeps a fire under your developer’s butt because they know they have to turn in that new code
every day
Step 5 Bug Testing
As you reach the end of the development process you’re going to take a more active role in testing
the software.
If you simply trust the developer that everything works properly then you’re likely to get a rude
awakening when you start selling your product.
I can’t really tell you what it is about freelance developers that makes them a bit lazy in this
area but in general I find that every product I develop has bugs when the developer first hands it
to me and says its ready.
Trust me when I tell you, do not ever take your developer’s word for it when it comes to your
software being market ready.
Instead its a good idea for you to spend a few hours yourself trying every button, every option,
etc that the software has making sure that it all works as its supposed to.
Then I like to give it to a handful of customers to beta test for me.
If you don’t have any customers to beta test don’t sweat it, just pick a few friends that you trust
and have them check it out for you.
**Hint: If you’re struggling to find people to beta test I’ve found that
Facebook is an easy way to get people in the door.
Step 6 Software Launch
Your launch is where the rubber really meets the road.
This is the funnest part by far because its where you get to see money actually coming into your
account.
But in all fairness I have to warn you, launches are a very complex subject so complex in fact
that you’ll have no trouble finding $2,000$3,000 courses that teach nothing but launch strategies.
I am not telling you that to freak you out I’m just letting you know that what
I show you in this ebook is the tip of the iceberg.
It will be more than enough to get you going and in fact in the right hands is more than enough
to earn low to mid six figures per year.
The other good news is, the strategy I’m about to teach you requires very little time, is low
stress, and can result in some very strong Jv partnerships in the future.
There is no technical term for the strategy and I’ve never seen it taught anywhere but I’m sure
there are other folks that have figured it out; of that I have no doubt.
I simply refer to it as a private launch.
Unlike a public launch a private launch does not require an affiliate contest, it does not require
endless recruitment, it doesn’t require giving away huge commissions, etc.
Instead private launches consist of me hitting up a few people that I know have laser targeted
lists for my product.
I offer them a 50% commission and set up a special landing page just for their list.
Then I allow them to promote the offer for 72 hours many times with a special discount to help
encourage sales.
And when 72 hours is up the product is either no longer available to that list or is no longer
available at the discounted rate.
This allows me to add a countdown timer to the offer to help get people off the fence who aren’t
sure about purchasing.
The reason this method is so powerful is its a true win/win.
The affiliates who promote this way end up making more sales aka more money and I am able to make
solid money myself because I don’t have to pay out any crazy affiliate prizes, high commission
rates, etc.
Now, will I make as many sales as if I had done a public launch?
No, the chances are very slim of that happening but a real launch is a huge amount of work whereas
this is very low stress and can be done around a full time job if need be.
Remember, the whole point of this ebook is to show you how to make an extra $100k year while only
working 12 hours per day.
You’re always welcome to work more and in turn you have a better chance of making more.
Now, you may be saying to yourself…that’s easy for James to do because he’s got tons of
connections and while that may be true for some projects its totally false with others.
For example, when I launched Springly via this method in September of
2014 I had to go out and try to get big tshirt “gurus” to promote for me and many of them I had
never met or even spoke to before.
At the end of the day people are in business to make money and if you have a quality product that
they feel they can make money on they don’t really care if they know you or not!
**Tip:
Sometimes the fastest way to get your foot in the door is by finding someone who already has their
foot in the door and partnering with them. When it comes to my students I am always willing to
consider a partnership to help them reach more affiliates/customers with their offer so don’t be
shy about contacting me when you have a FINISHED PRODUCT.
Please do not contact me with “ideas” as I get way too many people who do that and never actually
create a product.
Step 7 Updates & Support
A lot of folks get it in their head that their job is over once they’ve sold a product but the
reality is the people who make it long term are the ones that understand how important updates and
support are for your products.
Even the best products are going to run into problems from time to time. For example, one of my
recent software products called Springly which
pulls designs back from the popular web site Teespring.com was working
great but suddenly one day last week I got a flood of tickets at my help desk telling me it was not
functioning.
When I researched the problem I found that apparently TeeSpring had updated their own site which
meant that I had to update my software to work with the new site layout.
This was a chance for me to either a) let my customers down and lose
them for life or b) rise to the occasion and prove to my customers I was one of the “good guys”
that would take care of them.
Obviously I chose to update the product and within 34 days I was able to send out an update not
just fixing the problem but also adding several new features.
By adding these new features I went above and beyond what my customers expected and that really
goes a long way in building loyalty.
And make no mistake, a small raving fan base will outperform a huge luke warm fan base any day.
If you’re planning on building more than one product/software then you’re going to want your
existing customers to buy from you again and again..and to tell their friends about you.
The way to do that is to go beyond the call of duty every chance you get. Look at it like this, a
great update may only cost you a few hundred bucks
but the relationship you build with your customers is priceless.
Putting It All Together
As you read through this ebook you may be feeling like I left quite a bit out and the truth is I
absolutely did.
I didn’t focus on any of the advanced strategies for building a multiple six figure per year
business.
I didn’t focus on how to recruit affiliates for a huge six figure launch or how to run paid traffic
or any of the traffic generation techniques that can take you from six figures to seven.
And I didn’t go into large amounts of detail on any one section.
I did that on purpose in order to give you the end all be all I would have had to charge you a
lot of money for this product.
I wanted to be able to give it to you at a price that did not break the bank. But all that being
said, I want to also remind you that the information in this
guide is MORE than enough to build a full time income through software
development. How do I know?
Because I would have LOVED to have this when I was starting out.
I had to figure it out all on my own, and even then I was able to make six figures within just six
months implementing this model.
Remember, the goal of this guide is to get you to just an extra $100,000 per year!
You can do this.
Don’t let fear stand in your way.
If you’re doubting your ability to do this thing long and hard about my story. It was less than
five years ago that I was struggling to make $100 day while
working my butt off.
This week I’ve been sick, like really feeling bad and laying in bed sick.
I have not sent out a single email to my list, have not ran any ads, and have not asked any
affiliates to promote my products.
Yet here are the stats from just my most recent software from just TODAY:
Notice, very little of that came from affiliates.
When you create awesome software people will tell their friends about it
FREE.
Do you think you’d be ok taking a sick day and still earning $748.42 profit? I know I sure am.
So get out there and make it happen! Yours for success,
James Sides

If your are an existing customer then Welcome back.
This report is going to be quick and to the point. Do this, click this, use
this, promote this, etc..
If you have no clue what CPA Marketing is then I would suggest you go
learn about it and come back here.
Im not going to teach you what CPA Marketing is, I’m going to give you a
strategy to use right now. I will lay out the most basic of formulas that is
working right now for myself and my students.
This system works, But it’s up to YOU to set it up and take action on it.
Here is the deal with success online. It does not matter what you are
promoting, CPA offers, Affiliate Offer, Your own Products.
Targeted Traffic + Conversions = Sales
That’s the simple formula and I want you to keep that in your mind when
you go through this report

Retargeting
One of the real goldmines of getting targeted traffic is to retarget your
traffic. Tongue twister I know.
Facebook and even Google will let you place a piece of code onto your
website and they will build an audience for you. Even Amazon is in on
the action.
Let me give you an example. Have you ever gone to Amazon, searched
for an item, opened up the item to get more information, but then decided
maybe later. Then you go surfing around the Internet and you see
banners with that same exact item you searched on Amazon.
That is retargeting. And you get to do it for any offer you want.
What does this really mean for us?
We have to build an audience. An audience that will never unsubscribe
and can be marketed to for any product you want
The formula I will show you goes like this. To build an audience we are
going to buy very cheap traffic. 1 cents traffic, send it to a landing page
and build the audience with facebook. Then promote the same offer to
your new facebook group.
The reason we do this is because first you have to build the audience and if
you don’t already have a FREE source of traffic then we have to get it for
next to nothing. And after you build up the targeted audience, facebook
will let you promote to that traffic for super cheap compared to just tossing
up ads on the facebook ads manager.

—————————————————–Page 3—————————————————–
Lets look at a diagram that shows the what it looks like
Here is how we setup this and these are the tools and websites you need.
An account at Buzzcity.com
A Facebook account
An Account at Peerfly
A Landing Page
I will walk you through each of these and then put it all together.
Buzzcity, if you have purchased this traffic before you know it’s very cheap,
but it can be hit or miss at times. But the traffic from this website is only to
build your audience at Facebook.
The audience you build at facebook is the real gem because its highly
targeted and you can pay next to nothing to promote to your audience.

FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 4—————————————————–
Facebook will reward you for building an audience because they figure you
know what you’re doing as a marketer and will give you cheap traffic on
your efforts. Because its your audience and you built it.
So again the formula is Targeted Traffic plus Conversion gives you the
money you desire.
Im going to start off with setting up the offer to promote. This is going to
be an auto insurance offer that pays $9 per lead
Step #1
Login or setup an account with Peerfly, click here
I the top right of the search, put in this number 9026
Auto Quotes Direct is the offer I want you to promote.

FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 5—————————————————–
This pays out very good for a lead!!
This offer is only for United States traffic, so we will only focus on US traffic.
And it’s allowed in both Search PPC (google) and Social PPC (facebook)
Next click on the banners
Download 2 Banners
320×25 and 728×90
Now grab your Affiliate link

FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 6—————————————————–
Step #2
Step 2 is setting up a landing page to capture the traffic and build the
audience.
Im not going to go over how to setup this landing page but will give you an
example of mine.

FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 7—————————————————–
If you want this example same landing page click here for details on how
you can download it.
===
Click Here and get this exact landing page we use
Click Here if you want us to host it and you just promote the link we give
you. This is only available for a few days and will be closed after that.

—————————————————–Page 8—————————————————–
The landing page you create is there to build the audience from the traffic
we get at buzzcity. You can do direct from FB and I will show you that in a
bit.
On this landing page you will place the audience pixel you get from
facebook. In step 3 I will explain this and you can then go back and place
this code in your html
Step #3
Step 3 is setting up your audience inside of facebook. So head over to
your facebook account and click on the top right menu, then click on
manage ads. If this is your first time with facebook ads then click on
create an ad. Just create an ad and put your landing page url in there, but
don’t make the ad active. This will open up the advertising admin area.
Once inside the admin area I want you to click on audiences to the left.

FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 9—————————————————–
Next click on the upper right create audience and customer audience.
Then click website traffic
Next click on Anyone who visits your website
10
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 10—————————————————–
You can put in your landing page url there or leave it blank.
Here is how I setup my audience
Now click the checkbox next to the audience and view pixel
Inside of the box you want to copy the pixel code into your computer
notepad. We will take this code and place it inside our landing page.
11
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 11—————————————————–
Now go back to your landing page and paste in this code to your html page.
I use a software called Kompozer for Mac to edit html page. If you are
using wordpress then you can paste this code into the footer of your
landing page.
12

—————————————————–Page 12—————————————————–
Summary so far.
Step 1 get the offer from Peerfly
Step 2 setup your landing page
Step 3 get pixel code from facebook and place that into your landing
page.
Setp #4
Setup buzzcity to start generating cheap audience traffic.
Login into your buzzcity account.
Click on My Campaign and then Create Campaign
13
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 13—————————————————–
Set you title, CPC, and Daily Budget
At $10 budget you will get 1,000 clicks $100 will get you 10,000 clicks.
10,000 click will give you an audience in facebook close to that number.
Next make sure you set the traffic to desktop and not mobile.
14
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 14—————————————————–
Go to the banners and upload the 300×250 and 728×90, you will see
buzzcity will auto create banners for the other spots. These are the only 2
banners you need to upload.
The next part is the url and you will put in your landing page url here.
15
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 15—————————————————–
Next you will open up the selected countries and find United States then
enter .01
And then I make sure everything else is checked except Adult
16
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 16—————————————————–
Then just hit submit and wait for approval. Once it’s approved then traffic
will start flowing through to your landing page.
What we are doing is taking the traffic at buzzcity for very cheap and
building an audience at facebook. As the traffic is coming in from
buzzcity the pixel from facebook is firing in the background building up your
audience.
Real people are going to click on your banners but don’t expect a lot from
the traffic from buzzcity. You may get some leads, but all the leads are
going to come from the audience you build.
Step #5
Setting up your ads on facebook using the new and growing audience.
You may be asking yourself why even bother with all this and just go
straight to facebook. Because it’s so much harder to figure out a good
17
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 17—————————————————–
audience from straight facebook ads. Trying to target an audience like this
will cost way too much.
Its much easier to get cheap traffic from a source like buzzcity then pay the
high prices at facebook. The audience you build at facebook is going to
be a lot cheaper and very targeted since people clicked on your auto
insurance banners.
Now back to facebook and lets create an ad with the audience
You want to send people to a website, this will be the AutoQuotes offer
Your link will be your landing page you created before
18
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 18—————————————————–
I need to point something out that is important for facebook. Make sure
you have a policy and terms links at the bottom of your landing page
Use this website to create a policy and terms
** If you dont want to go through the hassle of setting up the page and
hosting it yourself then click here . I will host it for you and give you a
special link. But this may be closed by now.
The next part is choosing the audience
19
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 19—————————————————–
Make sure United States is selected
And I leave everything else default. Since this audience has already said
they are interested in auto insurance the audience it your target.
Next I will set the budget and set the price per click. I usually start off with
$1.00, facebook will usually give you the best price. Normally your gonna
pay $.20 $.30 per click.
20
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 20—————————————————–
Next is setting up the ad. Take a look at how its setup
21
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 21—————————————————–
A few key things are remove Mobile News Feed, remove Desktop Right
Column, Only have Desktop News Feed.
The photo you can play around with. Facebook has a good selection of
stock photos you can choose. I found that a smiling female always out
pulls any other ad.
22
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 22—————————————————–
And you will notice that the photo and text are taken directly from the direct
Auto Quotes Direct landing page.
Once that is complete hit submit.
Now you’re all set, you have cheap traffic from buzzcity building your
audience at facebook and you are targeting your auto insurance audience
in your ads.
Another key thing to remember here. This audience is always going to be
there. You can leave your ads running all the time. The audience will
always be there they will never unsubscribe.
That is why this strategy is so powerful.
Summary of everything we learned.
Step 1 Going to peerfly and downloading your offer and affiliate link
Step 2 Creating your landing page with your affiliate link
Step 3 Creating an audience with facebook and downloading your pixel to
your landing page
Step 4 Setting up your campaign inside buzzcity
Step 5 Create your facebook ad with the new audience created from the
cheap traffic from buzzcity.
A few others things not covered here.
23
FREE CPA Marketing Training (limited seating)
—————————————————–Page 23—————————————————–
Tracking
I use clickmagick to track everything. You can add the tracking pixel to
your landing page and your peerfly account. This will show you what is
converting
Google Adwords
Google also has a retargeting program. I have yet to use it because I think
google adwords is overpriced, but it’s still an option to look into.
My final thoughts
This may seem new and completed to you. And I get it, but once you take
action setting this up you will finally see the bigger picture. My goal is for
you to master this and branch out into other offers. You can do this same
system and build audiences for different niches.
You can build an audience in the Health and Weight Loss, Make Money
Online, Forex, Binary Options, and Dating.
The amount of audiences you can build are endless. And with these new
audiences you can promote anything you want inside of that niche.

Welcome to Stealth Profits 1.0. In this revolutionary wso I will be revealing my main source of traffic and how a simple tool provided me the solution I needed to make my plan a reality.
I don’t want to waste your time so let me start by telling you what you need to do!
Make sure that you sign up for a Google adwords account, you’re going to need it to proceed further.
Once you have signed up for Google Adwords, we’re going to setup our first campaign, this is how we are going to discover the hidden tool that will allow this technique to work.
Proceed to selecting ‘’Create new campaign’’
And choose ‘’ Display network only’’

What you are now seeing is the hidden tool I was discussing with you above. Let’s see it in action, type in ‘’weight loss’’.
What you are seeing are weight reduction publishers that have recorded their websites with Google AdWords. 500,000 hits every week from these weight loss targeted sites is astronomical.
I’m going to demonstrate to you the proper methodology to lawfully tap into their traffic activity without utilizing Google AdWords ppc framework.
I for one know this wso is going to produce a huge amount of cash for the individuals that are already utilizing this marketing technique. I am going to uncover more as we proceed.
Remember, this will work for any specialized niche out there.
Since you now know how to findthis hidden tool, let’s dive a little deeper. I will uncover how to tap in to their traffic activity.
Today I will be covering CPV/PPV. I have to be fair, this is without any doubt my main fundamental source of income.
So what exactly is CPV? (Cost per view)
CPV/PPV is essentially an advertising promoting system and here is why this lives up to expectations. There are many scenarios where you proceed to installing a software, only to discover that they have an agreement whereby users 4 pop up ads on their screen every day.
Yes, I am referring to the frustrating banners that appear, don’t they just annoy you? CPV advertisements are low priced. We’re referring to about 0.01 cent per click for SUPER TARGETED website traffic. Presently, the professionals are also using CPV marketing to make tons of profit and the large majority of internet marketers simply don’t know how to get this to work. Before we proceed any further, let’s talk about the Top CPV/PPV networks.
https://www.trafficvance.com
TrafficVance is most likely the best ppv system. They oblige you to put down a $1,000 deposit and that goes toward your advertising spending plan. You additionally require a referral to get granted access. To get a referral to traffic Vance simply contact your CPA affiliate manager and ask for a referral. Let your Affiliate manger know you have a vast promotional and marketing plan and you want to be upfront and clear with traffic Vance. Everyone gets access to traffic Vance by following this process.
http://leadimpact.com
Lead impact competes well with traffic Vance and no doubt will get there very soon. I can honestly say that Lead impact has been majorly responsible for a good part of my success. There is a $1,000 deposit necessity and there is no requirement for a referral. I highly recommend lead impact

Home

From experience, 50onred provide slightly better quality traffic than leadimpact. They are a new network and there is a necessity of providing a$500 deposit and additionally goes towards your promotional spending plan. I for one would pick 50onred over lead impact. I have seen 300% ROI with this network with my first marketing campaign. Quite astonishing actually.
http://mediatraffic.com
Media traffic has the lowest Quality traffic but it is the last suggestion to anybody intrigued with CPV advertising. There is a
$200 minimum deposit for media traffic and that goes toward your overall advertising budget.
For this guide I will utilize lead impact and a clickbank product.
Product: http://www.themusclemaximizer.com
So I am at my leadimpact dashboard getting prepared to launch a new advertising campaign.
A $10 daily advertising budget will get us approximately 10,000 views.
I think it’s obvious what we are going to do next. We are going to use our affiliate link as our greeting (landing) page. I suggest you buy a related domain and forward it to your affiliate link. We are going to choose United States only for this example. You want to know where your conversions are originating from so just focus on 1 country per campaign.
Presently this is what CPVconsists of, it’s all about discovering relevant websites for your offer so that your AD popupappears when users use that specific website. But the key to success is that the site must be RELEVANT.
This information I am about to reveal to you can undoubtedly be sold for over $1,000 and if you knew the power of this advertising solution then you would be already thanking me.Nobody, and I mean nobody has ever revealed their genuineCPV methods on the warriorforum and unquestionably not the method I am going to reveal here.
You see, there is contrast between somebody sharing a strategy and somebody sharing an IDEA. I am sharing a technique I am expressly utilizing on a daily basis and I hold nothing back. I cannot say you’re going to a profit with this, however it does beyond any doubt meet expectations.
So as opposed to choosing essential keywords we are going to pick websites to have our promotional ad display and once a user visits that website, our AD appears, making use of very targeted traffic.
So most mentors will instruct you to search your keyword through Google and find as many sites as possible (1,500 websites minimum) and focus those sites.
No compelling reason to do all of that, what I have been doing is something NO ONE else is doing. I am utilizing the Placement tool. Better believe it, remember the tool I revealed to you earlier?
We are going to discover SUPER TARGETED sites that areapplicable to our offer and gethuge amounts of traffic. Remember, we are getting 50,000-100,000 views with our minimum deposit of $500 on 50onred or 1,000 with leadimpact or traffic Vance.
With the placement tool there are websites that are relevant to pretty much anything you want to promote and the traffic activity volumes are very high. SO on the off chance that youtruly looking to hit huge with $20,000 monthly clickbank checks then this is the best approach to take.
Let’s utilize the placement tool to discoverwebsites that are related to http://www.themusclemaximizer.comand our click bank offer.
So here we are utilizing the placement tool and we are going to enter a keyword that is relevant and essential to our offer. In this case let’s try ‘’Muscle’’
Based on our search, let’s target flexonline.com
Return back to leadimpact
Now let’s enter our Target URL
Now tell me this is not amazing, the maximum bid is less than 2 pennies.
What happens is when a user who has the product installed on their pc visits this site http://flexonline.com, OUR CLICKBANK PAGE POPS UP.
Now how much more focused can this possible get for ½ penny per click?
We are obviously going to target more websites. With my own technique, you don’t need more than 10 domains although the rules are set at around 1,000 sites. Our sites have high traffic volumes!
http://www.muscleandfitness.comobtains over 3,000,000 hits per week.
I know what you are already thinking, this is unbelievable. Let’s break down numbers.
So let’s say in a worst case scenario that out of 3 million hits only 1% have the pop up software installed on their computer.
So in 1 week your ad would display to around30,000 users that are specifically targeted. Remember there isabsolutely NO COMPETITION for these sites because no one else is using this technique to find their CPV target URLS.
Back to the facts, out of 3 million hits we get 1% of the views = 30,000
Out of 30,000 views we get in worst cases HALF A PERCENT (0.5) conversion rate. So out of every 200 views we are making 1 sale.
That’s 150 sales.
This offer pays $42.00 per sales
42×150= $6,300
So if each views cost you 0.015
(0.015 X 30,000= $450)
So you’ve just invested $450 and made $6,300 ($5,850) pure profit
And if you are using lead impact you’d still have $550 left from your original $1,000 deposit.
This is pretty self explanatory; you can do this for any niche.
I recommend you begin with 50onred, their CPV bid is 0.02 for USA traffic. Lead impact starts at about 0.01 however the deposit is 1k for lead impact.
In the event that you are interested mostly in CPV/PPV then do some research or contact me.

“Right now, there are more people hurting based on a lack of immediate income in today’s economy than at any other time in history; but there is also more opportunity than any other time in history. The only difference is being able to educate people to close the gap between the desire that they have and the ability to make it happen!” Peter Sage www.petersage.com

Introduction
Congratulations! You’ve made a wise choice.
First of all let me welcome you into the profitable world of Arbitrage. You‘re about to discover the Stupidly Simple methods I and many others use daily to create fantastic incomes WITHOUT any up-front costs.
Sound good?
Great; however, before we get started, I’d like to give you my recommendations for getting the most out of what I’m about to share.
Some folks will dive straight into the “how-to” of this course, which is fine; in my experience though, those who take the extra 15 or 20 minutes to understand the WHY behind what we do will be in a far greater position for success and this will save you frustration and potential headaches once you put the pedal to the metal so to speak.
Ideally, you should use this workbook alongside the video training as the videos will provide you with an additional learning perspective and utilise more of your senses, therefore engaging more of your brain and subconscious allowing you to retain more information.
I’ve done my best to simplify every aspect of these methods enabling you to absorb the training quickly and more importantly shortening the time between learning and implementation.
With that said, I would suggest your study the contents of this workbook and the content of the videos more than once just to ensure you grasp the essence of the methods I share.
Ready to get started, great, Let the journey begin…

Why I Created This Course
There are a number of reasons why you have this course in your hands today.
One, I believe is fate and it has somehow brought you to my teachings so you, like many, many of my previous and current students can finally break free of the LACK and finally break into the World of ABUNDANCE.
Don’t worry I’m not going to go all “new-age” and start spouting paragraphs from “ancient teachings” I do; however, believe that Things Happen for a Reason!
Maybe you’ve found yourself at a crossroads, maybe you’ve been banging your head against a brick wall “trying” to make it online or offline and yet, success still eludes you?
Maybe, you’re just starting out on your journey as an entrepreneur; or you’re at the other end of the spectrum, burnt out, stressed, desperate to change your fortunes and finally show the world and others just how successful you can be?
Maybe, just maybe, you’ve decided enough is enough, “if it’s to be it’s up to me” and you’re ready and willing to do something about it!
Sound at all familiar?
The painful truth is that there are thousands of people around the World experiencing something similar and it is my task, no quest, to show you a better, simpler way to finally creating that income you’ve always dreamed of.
My GOAL as “quoted” by Peter Sage at the beginning of this workbook; is to help YOU “close the gap between DESIRE and the ABILITY to make it happen!”
Together we can make the change today!

Here’s What You Are Going to Learn
This workbook is where we are going to delve into the Stupidly Simple World of Physical Product Arbitrage.
There have been NUMEROUS courses created on Physical Product Arbitrage and for VERY good reasons…
Physical Product Arbitrage SIMPLY works!
It is without doubt one of the quickest and in my opinion BEST ways to generate a great income without any up-front costs.
However, this “course” is NOT all about Amazon to eBay, although we’ll be covering this in great detail, I want to give you even MORE methods that will increase your income without having to spend a dime in set-up costs etc.
You’re going to learn how to MAXIMISE your time and efforts by listing “in-demand” products rather than the “scatter-gun” approach used by the masses.
Rather than throwing mud at the wall hoping some will stick, you will be laser targeting the TOP selling and MOST POPULAR items which will increase your chances of hitting a home run and bringing home the bacon.
You’ll discover how to position your products to sell more and also learn why PRICE is NOT the be all and end all.
You’ll discover WHERE to find products that are priced to sell and priced for profit and how to tap into little known places to uncover some real gems!

The Methods
The methods I’m about to share with you are NOT new, in fact they have been around for centuries; however, we NOW have the added benefit of living in the digital age where we can “source” products and/or services locally or globally within a few seconds at the touch of a button!
Once you know EXACTLY what your potential buyers are looking to buy, you can run a few simple searches and come up with a multitude of results that will allow you to make a good profit.
Firstly, let’s look at why these methods work so well:
Perception of value.
Snobbery.
Laziness.
By leveraging the above, we are able to provide our customers with EXACTLY what they are looking to buy and they will thank us for doing so again and again.
Once you embrace this concept you will see unlimited opportunities where you can apply what you are about to learn and make a great profit. Even better, if you choose, you will NEVER have to handle any product or provide any service yourself, in fact you will simply become the “middle guy/gal” who marries the end customer to the original seller, and what’s more both parties will thank you for it!

Arbitrage
Don’t worry this is NOT a crash course on hedge-fund trading or any other complex financial undertaking, no, in fact this is the most BASIC methods of making money be it offline or online.
Let’s look at some definitions first and then add our own “spin” on them!
And..
“The opportunity to buy an asset at a low price then immediately selling it on a different market for a higher price.” Economics Glossary
Both of the above examples provide a “clear” definition as to the “what is” and the “mechanics” of arbitrage; however, there is a more “human” element that comes into play when we look at examples of arbitrage in the real world.
And that is…
Arbitrage:
“In economics and finance, arbitrage (/ˈɑrbɨtrɑː3/) is the practice of taking advantage of a price difference between two or more markets: striking a combination of matching deals that capitalize upon the imbalance, the profit being the difference between the market prices. When used by academics, an arbitrage is a transaction that involves no negative cash flow at any probabilistic or temporal state and a positive cash flow in at least one state; in simple terms, it is the possibility of a risk-free profit after transaction costs. For instance, an arbitrage is present when there is the opportunity to instantaneously buy low and sell high.” Wikipedia
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 10 of 65

The importance of … “Buyer’s Perception of Value”
Psychological Factors
There has been millions of dollars spent on extensive research to try and “make sense” of this human trait with some very well-known “behavioural economics experiments” shared publicly.
If you Google “buyer’s perception of value” you will have access to hundreds if not thousands of articles on the study of “buyers” and how the “perceived value” influences their decision to purchase.
So let’s get back to this wonderful sounding word “arbitrage”.
Here is an example of an arbitrage opportunity.
Let’s say you are able to buy a toy doll for $15 in Florida and in New York the exact same doll is selling for $25 (forget shipping costs etc. for now).
If you are able to buy the doll in Florida and sell it in New York you can profit from the difference without any risk because the higher price of the doll in New York is guaranteed.
However, Arbitrage doesn’t have to relate to physical products or even financial trading, it can also be service based, for example.
Motivation
Perception
Learning
Beliefs and Attitude

I ran an SEO agency and as well as SEO we also carried out reputation management services.
As a “company” over 90% of what we did was outsourced. All of the actual “tasks” were handled by our guys in India, the Philippines and Romania.
Apart from the interaction with the end client, we were very “hands-off” when it came to doing the real work.
We also “white-labelled” these services, which meant other “agencies”, were using our company as a service provider for their clients!
Were our agency partners happy? You Bet.
Were our agency partners’ clients happy? You bet.
You see we provided the EXACT service at a price the end client was happy to pay for.
Our clients and our agency partner clients had a “perception” of how much a service such as “reputation management” should cost and this perception
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 12 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
meant they ignored other agencies offering lower-priced services and instead were willing to pay much higher fees for a similar service.
Were the other agencies who charged 50%, 60% or even 70% less for a similar service offering sub-standard solutions?
Probably not; however, because the client had in their own mind, established a “perceived value of service” they were blinkered by the low price points and simply discounted them as being far too “cheap”.
After all how much would you pay to protect your “online reputation?”
Another example of “online arbitrage” has seen the rise in people purchasing products from Amazon and selling them on other sites such as eBay.
Now you may think this sounds crazy, after all how can Amazon offer products cheaper than eBay, so much cheaper in fact that “marketers/sellers” can still make a profit?
Simple…
“Buyers Perception of Value”
Here’s a little quiz…
TIP: Never Be Afraid To Price Your Products Higher Than Your Competitor.
It Is Always Easier To Discount Your Prices Rather Than Trying To Increase Them Later!
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 13 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
When you think of eBay.com what comes to mind?
If you said cheap deals, bargains, great prices etc. then you’ve answered similar to around 80% of the folks we have surveyed.
Next, what comes to mind when you think of Amazon.com?
If you said customer service, more expensive than eBay, speed of delivery, packaging etc. then again your answers are similar to the folks we asked.
You see, we are programmed to “perceive” various things as being fact. This plays out in “brand snobbery” and “brand loyalty” time and time again.
It is this “perception” that allows us as “service providers” to bridge the gap and be rewarded handsomely in return.
So let’s look at a great example of “brand snobbery” and “brand loyalty”…
Apple inc.
I’m sure you’ve witnessed this yourself, perhaps you’re also an Apple devotee?
One thing that is for sure, folk who love Apple, REALLY LOVE Apple!
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 14 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
They become raving fans of the brand and products, so much so they are willing to set up camp outside their local Apple store for hour’s sometimes even days just to get their hands on the latest greatest Apple release.
And woe betide anyone trying to convince them “It’s only a phone or laptop”…
One thing is for sure, Apple fans truly are passionate about their brand and will do almost anything to get their hands on the latest releases.
We also see this same passionate brand loyalty with car brands, for example in the USA it’s Ford Vs GMC.
Funny enough that same “rivalry” can also be found in Australia and to some extent in the United Kingdom.
We also see “brand snobbery” between Audi and BMW and then BMW and Mercedes.
When I owned a Porsche, we had friendly rivalry with the Honda s2000 owners.
Either side backed their “brand loyalty” with passion and gusto!
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 15 of 65

Other non-car related examples are:
McDonalds vs Burger King
Walmart vs Target
No doubt you could come up with many more examples.
And of course we have the obvious earlier online example, Amazon vs eBay.
Everyone has their own personal favourite and in many cases, they are “blinkered” when it comes to alternatives.
A high percentage of people simply ignore other available options and instead stick to their favourite brands, stores and websites.
Many times these actions are further reinforced by their “circle of influence”, friends, family, colleagues, peer groups etc. et al.
OK so we have dwelled a little on the “psychology” of arbitrage and “buyer perception of value”; however, this is simply my way of reinforcing the opportunities that are sitting right in front of you on a daily basis.
Oh and before we move onto the “how-to” and real life case studies, here’s a MASSIVE opportunity for you right now.
Peripheral Circle
Intermediate Circle
Primary Circle

“Retail Snobbery”…
I bet you have a discount store in your neighbourhood that sells items for a few dollars or pounds (depending where you live)?
I also bet there are “other” discount shops either offline or online that offer brand-name products at knock down prices.
Guess what?
Some people would not be seen dead in stores like these, on the off chance they were spotted by their “circle of influence” and peer groups.
Here’s the kicker…
Right now, there are items in those stores that you can sell and make a good daily profit from.

The Beginning
As I mentioned earlier, arbitrage isn’t new, it’s been around for centuries.
My first foray into “online arbitrage” was back in the good ‘ole days when you could make a great income from Google adsense.
This was the crazy Google Gold Rush days where you could throw up a site, add a few strategically placed Google adsense ad blocks and earn a pretty penny.
Heck, even back then my “landing pages” had adsense on them!
My thoughts were, “if the visitor isn’t going to buy what I’m promoting, I may as well make a few cents when they click on someone else’s ads!”
I know crazy right?
However, it did work and those “pennies” soon added up and covered the cost of my advertising.
This isn’t the arbitrage example however, nope…
The real arbitrage came from “how” I got visitors to my sites in the first place.
The formula was simple…
1) Buy “clicks” from 2nd and 3rd tier search engines such as 7search and MIVA for around $0.05 cents per click (PPC – Pay Per Click)
2) The person who “clicked” my advert would then be directed to one of my websites or landing pages.
3) They saw other more attractive ads from Google advertisers and “clicked” on those.
4) I’d earn an adsense commission. I typically made $0.25 per click from Google adsense, giving me a $0.20 cent profit
All I did was keep feeding the 2nd and 3rd tier search engines and collect a decent adsense income month in and month out.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 18 of 65

I would churn out at least five “mini-sites” per week, sometimes even throwing up “Blogger” blogs as often as I could to save on domain name costs.
It was the “Gold Rush” and those who worked the system reaped the rewards.
Sometimes when I’m feeling a little sentimental I’ll “Google” – “pay per click arbitrage 2006 or 2007” and look at the other “mavericks” who were also in on the game back then, it makes for interesting reading if you’re ever bored or suffer from insomnia!
Anyway, enough of the rocking chair chat; let’s bring things right up to date…
I’m a firm believer in keeping things Stupidly Simple, hence the title I chose for this “course”. So let’s dive into Physical Product Arbitrage, these are proven strategies that are super easy to implement and best of all won’t cost you a penny up front to get started!
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 19 of 65

Physical Product Arbitrage
This in one of the simplest ways to make money you will ever come across.
We simply find an in demand product from one website and sell this on another.
Most people restrict this to selling on eBay and buying from Amazon or vice versa; however, there are other “online” retailers that can be used to source products at knockdown prices, offering fantastic profit margins!
Physical product arbitrage can become very, very addictive, as the potential for profits is MASSIVE!
However, please remember you’re doing this to make money, NOT pay for a ton of stock you can’t shift later. The way to avoid this is simple, treat everything you do as transactional, remove all emotions and STICK to the PLAN.
Let me explain.
I shared these methods with a friend of mine and after their initial successes; they decided they wanted to “scale up” a little. Despite my advice, the “green eyed monster” had struck and they went out and bought stock that they thought they were going to sell easily and make a ton of profit.
(They still have a lot of that stock sitting in their garage today!)
Greed had taken hold and they ignored the very basics of what I’m about to share.
There are elements you must keep in mind to ensure your success.
IMPORTANT: “ONLY SUPPLY TO ORDER”!
The KEY to getting off the ground with Physical Product Arbitrage is to understand the basics of “money in vs money out”. Everything you do should be to ensure you are always in a 100% cash positive position.
This is easily achieved by using these methods as you will be selling first, ordering second and shipping third!
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 20 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
Because there are so many opportunities within Physical Product Arbitrage, I’m going to select my personal favorites and walk you through each method step by step in their own dedicated chapter; however, the components of each one are exactly the same.
Part 1 – Identifying the right products to sell.
Part 2 – Research potential suppliers where you can “source” the product that will allow a good margin for profit.
Part 3 – Place your advertisement or listing.
Part 4- Make sales (DO THIS FIRST!)
Part 5 – Order the product from your “source”.
Part 6 – Either the “supplier” ships direct to your customer or you ship the product to your customer (more on this later).
Part 7- Follow-up and make sure your customer has received their goods. Thank them once again for their order! (Don’t ignore this).
That really is all there is to it. It’s not rocket science; it is however, Stupidly Simple and that is why so many people overlook this as a great way to make money and as something that can lay strong foundations of a truly scalable business.

Identifying The RIGHT Products To Sell!
A few years ago when I had a “boss”, we were sitting in a small rowing boat in the middle of the Lake of Menteith in Scotland; one of only two lakes in Scotland and a huge expanse of water.
We were both keen trout fishermen, although this was the first time either of us had fished the lake.
My boss turned to me and asked…
“This lake is huge, where should we go try first?”
I looked at him and without hesitation replied.
“Where the fish are feeding of course”!
I’ve always had a “knack” for stating the obvious 😉
Of course knowing where the “fish are feeding” is only part of the battle, we must also know “WHAT” they are feeding on 😉
Catching A Wave – Making HUGE Profits Selling Plastic Hamsters!
A few years ago I was carrying out some consultancy in a major blue-chip organization.
During the morning coffee break, I began chatting to a colleague who I noticed was totally stressed and frustrated.
So I asked him what was wrong.
As it turned out his demeanour had nothing to do with work, in fact he told me, “hamsters, plastic hamsters!”
He told me how his daughter had come home from school insisting she MUST have a “Go Go Hamster” for Christmas as all her friends were getting them!
My friend was at his whit’s end as the “local” shops had run out of stock.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 22 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
So I did a quick search on Amazon and found the very hamsters he was looking for and pointed him over to the site. The hamsters also went by the name “Zhu Zhu Pets”
My friend hadn’t even considered trying Amazon or using the “alternative” name and that’s when I realized, there must be other “desperate parents” out there in the same position. Boy was I right!
Anyway, back to the plastic hamsters. The demand was outstripping the supply as these poor parents were entering a bidding war not only for the “hamsters” but also for the accessories such as “hamster ball”, “playpark”, “hamster run” etc.
The price of these hamsters quickly jumped from around $9 to over $65 and on top of that the “accessories” were a MUST HAVE, this meant the average customer order was over $200!
Back then I was also BIG into Amazon Associate marketing and I simply “plugged-in” to the craze and within a matter of a few short days I had cleared over $2500 profit!
These “seasonal crazes” aren’t unusual and in fact in December 2014, we witnessed another craze for “toys” relating to the Disney film Frozen and also
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 23 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
for talking minion toys especially Dave and Stuart (more on these two characters in the case study section).
Getting back on subject…
If you’ve ever seen that Christmas movie Jingle All The Way, you’ll recall the crazy lengths Arnold Schwarzenegger’s character went through to get his hands on a “Turbo Man” toy for his son.
Each year these same events play out time and time again and it’s NOT just during the festive season!
As this chapter is all about “finding items”, let’s look at a few ways we can identify what to sell.
Seasonal Items – We’ve touched on Christmas bestsellers; also in winter, consider skiing equipment and clothing, sledges, snow shovels, insulated clothing, portable heaters, car and other vehicle covers etc. In spring, consider items such as camping equipment, outdoor sport items, grills/BBQ’s and accessories as people prepare for the summer. In summer things switch to the outdoors, paddling pools, adventure sports items, holiday/vacation items, outdoor toys, grills/BBQ’s, flea powder for dogs etc. In autumn/fall consider leaf blowers, leaf rakes, leaf compactors. I’m sure you get the idea?
Remember your job is simply to connect a hungry buyer with the item they are looking to buy; it really is that simple and the simpler you keep it, the MORE money you will make!
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 24 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
For my research, I simply keep an eye on the Amazon homepage, as many times it shows you “seasonal offers” which fits in nicely with the above.
There is also the “department menu” on the left hand side of their homepage.
As it’s currently winter here in the UK; Amazon within their “garden and outdoors” department, are highlighting furniture covers, wild bird care, hand tools, snow removal, winter car care, solar lights and plant protection.
I guarantee there are at least 100 items in this department alone that you will be able to source and make a profit!
Personal Gifts – Again you can simply utilize the “departments” within Amazon to quickly look up the “popular” items and use that as a base for your research. Within each “department”, you have the option to filter the results by price, newest arrivals, customer reviews and of course, popularity.
You can turn to Google and simply type “top gifts for xxxx in year” replacing “xxxx” with either men, women, boys, girls or even Valentine’s Day and replace the “year” with the current year and you’ll discover even more potential items to sell. For example, you might search “top gifts for men winter 2015”.
Niche Items – This is a personal favourite of mine as it allows me to build up a “list” of potential buyers that I can then email and sell more items too repeatedly. I’ll cover EXACTLY how to do this in a subsequent chapter.
Making Use of Online Tools
I’m all for automation and minimizing my efforts where I can and this is where I turn to certain online tools.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could find a HOT product that was selling on eBay right now? Well you can by using a site called watchcount.com.
This site shows you the most “watched” items on eBay and you can select various countries and categories or you can enter a “keyword” to see what is popular right now; it also shows the number of items sold.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 25 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
Another feature of Watchcount is the ability to see the popular “search terms” being entered into eBay. This is a goldmine when you drill down into the results.
There are many other features that can lead you down various rabbit holes, I tend to just use the category search and sometimes the popular “search items” functions.
With watchcount, you not only find the fish, you also discover exactly what they are feeding on. (Please refer to the video training for a more in-depth walkthrough of Watchount and the other research sites).

Other Research Sites and Tools etc.
If you will be selling on eBay™ or Amazon™ then the one of the BEST investments you can make is in a good quality research tool.
The best ones aren’t free; however, many offer a free trial and most then offer a monthly subscription based on the LEVEL you choose.
There are a number of tools you can use and whilst some seem very similar there are others that stand head and shoulder above the rest.
These tools can be the difference between a part-time “hobby” income or a fulltime income and maybe the catalyst to creating a highly successful six figure or more business.
I would always suggest learning about the basic methods of making money selling physical products first, make regular sales and build both your bank and your confidence before signing up for one of these sites.
Remember: Our “goal” is ALWAYS to be in a 100% cash positive position, so we ONLY invest from the earnings we make. DO NOT fall into the shiny object syndrome trap like so many others!
These TOOLS are NOT essential to begin making money; however, once you have built up a good income stream you may wish to consider using these to increase your chances of success.

Terapeak
This is perhaps the grand-daddy of ALL eBay™ research tools. They also offer an Amazon™ research function within their “Professional” Plan.
With Terapeak you can dig into sales history going back as far as 365 days, you can legally “spy” on your competitors, see the average selling prices of items, and track products to monitor demand and also the best day and even time of day to post your listings.
There are some fantastic features for established sellers and once you have built up your income from your selling activities I’d recommend you grab a free trial of Terapeak and also check out their training webinars on YouTube!

HammerTap
NOTE: Please check their FAQ’s and Support forums to ensure your country is covered by this tool! This is 100% eBay.com USA functional, so if you are based in the USA this a GREAT tool for you.
Currently the subscription price is $19.95 per month.
There are numerous other tools you can check out to; however, I simply wanted to share these with you so you are aware there are other ways of researching rather than having to carry out research manually.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 30 of 65

How to Research Manually
The truth is there is NO real magical way to research potential profitable items, there is; however, a way to improve your chances of tapping into a best seller or even something that shifts a lot of units making you a nice regular income.
You will uncover products and suppliers where you will be able to make $100+ profit and that’s great, although you will soon discover those items take a lot longer to sell and your MAIN income earners will be those that return a profit of between $5 and $35 profit per item.
So when researching items DO NOT ignore them for only having a small profit margin as with a fair wind these items are often the ones that sell hundreds of units.
Note: Always make sure you allow for ANY costs that you may incur when selling an item, these may be listing costs in eBay™ or Amazon™, PayPal fees, shipping costs (we always try to avoid these where possible) or any other “expense” that may be incurred.
There are fee calculators available at eBay™, Amazon™ and PayPal™ that you can use to calculate your potential costs.
Here’s some basic math for you:
Source price = $15.00 (the price you can BUY the item for)
Selling Price = $29.95 (the price you can SELL the item for)
Costs = $ 7.50 (selling fee’s etc – this is an example only!)
Profit = $ 7.45 (what you earn as income before taxes)
In the example above we are making $7.45 every time we sell this item before any income tax etc.
The key is to be organised and TRACK your potential and active items that you are selling.

Keeping Track
Before we go through the process of Manual Research, I’d like to prompt you to consider how you are going to stay organised and keep track of your business.
I personally like to set up a Dropbox folder for each month and within that folder I then set up sub-folders and then save my relevant documents something like this…
This means not only do I have everything organised and tracked, it is saved to the “cloud” so I can access the information from anywhere and on any device I have set up.
I also have Dropbox downloaded onto my computers so I can save “locally” and then Dropbox “auto sync’s” my files and folders up to my Dropbox.com account.
Believe me staying organised like this really keeps you focused and also allows you to look back through previous months “research” files where you may just find the price has changed and you’ve a Winner on your hands!
Note: I use Dropbox because I have an account with 2TB of space available.

Google Drive (It’s FREE!)
If you have a Google Drive account you can create an “online” workspace where you can set up your tracking files and folders and also utilise the numerous apps available that will allow you to track, find and schedule things easily.
You get 15GB of storage FREE which is more than enough to begin with and you can always increase your limit as your business grows.
The bottom line, the more organised you are the MORE successful you are going to be!
The use of SPECIFIC folders and tracking documents such as MS Excel or Google Sheets and “note taking” documents such as MS Word or Google Docs will ensure you have all the information you require at your fingertips.
Note: once your business grows you can also use Google Drive to collaborate and share “folders” , “sheets” and “docs” with your outsource staff, this really adds POWER to your business!

Here’s an example of a Google Sheet that I use for tracking. This is what I would use for product that I have chosen to sell only.
As you can see it’s NOT rocket science to create a simple tracking sheet like this; however, being organised from the get-go will ensure your have a clear view of exactly where your business is at any given point. The comments are quite self-explanatory, the first column is the Product ASIN that you will find against products in Amazon, don’t worry I’ll explain this in more detail as we progress. (We DO NOT always use Amazon!)
For research I like to use a Google Doc or MS Word document as that also allows me to add the product image, for example.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 34 of 65

I’m restricted on how I can show the TRUE value of using Google Docs to record your sheets within this document; however, in the videos I walk through exactly how I do my research and how I use the built in features within Google Docs to speed up my research.
Using Google Docs has reduced my research time drastically.
Using these tools and my research methods I can easily find 50 or more products each morning that are suitable for listing on eBay™ or selling on another site etc.
NOTE: Once you have grasped the concept of HOW to research you could easily outsource this function and have your outsourcer(s) upload their “finds” into a shared folder on Google Drive!
If you use Google Docs to carry out and record your product research, there is a “research” bar on the right hand side that allows you to research at the same time.
This is a fantastic tool to use!

TIP
I use the Amazon ASIN number to track ALL the products I source from Amazon. This number is specific to each item and ensures I find the EXACT item I am looking for rather than relying on the product name.
The ASIN can be found within the product description and also in the URL – Web Address Bar as shown below

How To Research Like a BOSS – Me in this case 
These are the EXACT methods I use to research suitable products and I’ve found it the BEST way to really drill down into some winners that I can source for a decent price and then sell for a good profit.
My first port of call is ALWAYS Amazon. As I’m in the UK I use Amazon.co.uk; however, these methods work on ALL Amazon sites around the World.
The process here is VERY simple; all we are trying to do is to use the “recommended” keywords from Amazon to drill further into the results and Amazon return the most searched for keywords at that time.
Note: These results change often so please DO NOT forget to use the same SEED keyword daily to see the NEW results generated. – A “seed” keyword is basically the starting point to generate more “specific” or long-tail keywords making it “easier” to target the exact products people are searching for.
SEED Keyword: Dog – very vague
1st Result: Dog Basket – slightly more specific
2nd Result: Dog Basket for small dogs – VERY specific
NEVER use an Amazon PRIME account when using these methods. I always recommend if you have Amazon PRIME to set up another account without PRIME.
The reason(s) will become clear as we go through the rest of this workbook
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage

I’ll lay out the steps first and then show you some screen shots so you can see the results I am seeing.
Step 1 – Choose a “niche” keyword, this is your “seed” keyword!
Step 2 – Enter the “keyword” in Amazon search bar with a “space” after the word.
Step 3 – Make a note of the TOP three “keyword results”. (You can always return to this Step and grab even more potential keywords later if you wish).
Step 4 – Take the TOP “keyword” and enter this in the Amazon search bar again leaving a “space”.
Step 5 – “Click” on the TOP result
Step 6 – “scroll” down and on the Left Hand Side of the Amazon results page look for the “check” box that says “FREE Delivery from Amazon”. It is in the “refine by” section. Check that box.
Step 7 – scroll down again and select the “Average Customer Review” 4 stars and up – we are looking for BEST sellers here that customers have reviewed highly. We only want to promote TOP selling products.
Step 8 – Select the “products” that are priced for FREE shipping only. NOTE: in the UK we get FREE shipping on orders over £10.00, in the USA it is free shipping on orders over $35.00, In Canada it is free shipping via their Super Saver Shipping for eligible products over $25.00. You will be able to find the FREE shipping limit via your local Amazon site.
Side Note: Even though we may choose a different “source” for the product I always start by searching Amazon in this way and then I may “uncheck” the “free shipping” option to discover even more potential products.
Step 9 – Select the TOP products from that page that are above the “minimum” value and qualify for free shipping and then enter these in your Google Doc or MS Word or other Word Processing document as shown above.
Step 10 – Now do the same for the other “top three keywords” you discovered in Step 3 above.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 38 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
When you research like this you will NEVER be stuck for product ideas and if you set aside dedicated “research time” you will be able to discover at least 50 GOOD products that you can sell within 15 to 30 minutes.
The main benefit of this exercise is you are uncovering POPULAR products that sell on Amazon which is a GREAT indication that people are probably actively searching for these products on OTHER sites etc!
Here is the “seed” keyword
Here are the search results from the 2nd search
In this instance the search returned 8 GREAT keyword phrases we can drill into. Note: I typically ignore the top two that have the orange writing after them.

There are thousands more and you’ll soon discover your own successful “seed” words that you can drill into to create those “long tail” phrases buyers are using right now on Amazon.
Remember, stay organised and keep your research results in a file and folder where they are easy to find!
Please take the time to research at least 50 items as this will put you in a much better position for success going forward.
It’s not difficult to do; however, it’s the difference between a few dollars a day profit or a few hundreds even thousands per day profit!

How To Research Like a BOSS – eBay Method.
So far we have used the inbuilt “search function” within Amazon to uncover potential profits that have GREAT ratings and feedback (above 4 stars), now I want to show you how to use eBay’s built in search function so you can once again drill down into BUYERS key phrases and find products that you may wish to sell.
The steps are similar to Amazon as we will start with a seed keyword and then drill down once again.
NOTE: For best results it is recommended you are logged into your eBay account. If you do not have one, please take the time to set one up now and then return to this section.
Once again I will lay out the steps first and then show you some screen shots so you can see the results I am seeing.
Step 1 – Choose a “niche” keyword, this is your “seed” keyword!
Step 2 – Enter the “keyword” in eBay search bar with a “space” after the word.
Step 3 – Make a note of the TOP three “keyword results”. Ignore the results that say “in” i.e. dog cage “in” Dog Supplies
Step 4 – Take the TOP “keyword” and enter this in the eBay search bar again leaving a “space” after the word.
Step 5 – “Click” on the TOP result
Step 6 – “scroll” down and on the Left Hand Side of the eBay results page look for the “check” box that says “Buy It Now”. It is in the “format” section. Check that box.
Step 7 – These results are the TOP selling results for that search term and will highlight what is HOT on eBay now.
Step 8 – Select the “products” that are priced over your local Amazon minimum price for FREE delivery. Enter these in your Google Doc or MS Word or other Word Processing document as we did before.

The REASON you want to be logged into your eBay account is so you can see the NUMBER of sales and also how many watchers.
Do you think this is a POPULAR product? 9,764 units sold, 2 sold in the past hour and over 2000 people currently watching this!
This is how you find EXACTLY what is selling and is HOT right now!
NOTE: TOP niches like the pet niche are notoriously difficult to break into successfully; however, with “some” effort and doing the EXACT opposite of everyone else you have a GREAT chance to uncover and sell items that can become MASSIVE winners!

Recap (and to catch our breaths)
So far we have discovered…
1) Buyers Perception of Value and WHY people shop the way they do.
2) How WE get paid simply for being the “middle man or woman”.
3) We’ve stepped into the World of Arbitrage and more specifically Physical Product or Retail Arbitrage in this section.
4) We know the Formula for SUCCESS* (see below)
5) We know how to discover WHAT people are looking to buy right now using “tools” and manual methods to carry out our research.
*Do this and make money… It’s “Stupidly Simple”
Part 1 – Identify the right products to sell.

Amazon to eBay Case Study
“Sourcing” products on Amazon and selling them on eBay is one of the simplest and most “hands-off” ways to make a great living from Arbitrage.
Here is an example of one of my popular items in November 2014.
As you can see I sold 15 units for £20 plus £3.20 shipping – ($30.47 plus $4.70)
My “cost” price was £9.09 and was shipped for free from this “seller” direct to my customers as a “gift” – more on this later.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 45 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
Here’s a “breakdown” of the “per unit” stats.
Source price = £9.09 – how much I paid for the item
Selling Price = £23.20 (selling price plus additional money from postage)
Costs = £ 3.66 (selling fee’s etc)
Nett Profit = £10.45 Per Unit ($15.92)
Overall for 15 sales the figures were as follows…
Source price = £136.35
Sales Income = £348.20 – gross sales figure
Costs = £ 50.00 (selling fee’s etc)
Nett Profit = £161.65 (That’s $246.25 USD profit)
So as you can see from the figures above, you don’t have to be selling hundreds of items to begin earning a decent income; however, the MORE listings you have on eBay the more chance you have of success.
Profit is PROFIT! You don’t need to be making $20 plus profit per item to make a great income, as long as you are making a NETT profit get the item listed and do not try to compete with others on pricing!

The EXACT Process I Use To Sell From Amazon To eBay
“Quality over quantity” has always been my moto in everything I do online. Sure the MORE listings you have on eBay means the more chance of success; however, I’d rather have MORE of the RIGHT listings online so I’m not wasting my time and effort listing something that may not sell.
That is why I have spent so much time in the previous section to ensure you grasp the “concept” of researching the “in-demand” items.
Before we go into the EXACT “how-to” there are a couple of things you are going to need.
1) An eBay account. You don’t need to be fancy here, a personal eBay account will work just fine in the beginning; however, once you begin to sell regularly I would urge you to switch to a business account.
2) A PayPal account, this is so you can accept instant payments so you are receiving the money from the sale before you are ordering the products. Again in the beginning you can use a personal PayPal account; however, as your business grows and your sales volume increases I would recommend setting up a Premier or Business PayPal account.
3) A basic Amazon account WITHOUT Amazon Prime. –We NEVER ship from Amazon via PRIME as this will get your account flagged and you WILL lose your PRIME benefits.
Details on how to set up the accounts below are in the accompanying Workbook “eBay, Amazon, PayPal guide”.
Note: I’d urge you to carry out your own due diligence regarding trading as an individual, setting up a company or any other commercial entity as the laws and regulations differ from country to country.
Likewise, I’d recommend you check out the information regarding the use of PayPal and eBay to ensure you conform to their Terms of Service and Terms of Conditions/User Agreements.

Step By Step Process
I’ve carried out my research and have my 50 plus products that I will be listing on eBay.
So let’s go list our product on eBay with a TWIST 
Here’s my research item:
This item was uncovered on eBay.co.uk selling for between £65 and £95, that’s $98 USD and $146 USD.
NOTE: We typically ONLY sell items that are shipped FREE from Amazon.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 48 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
164 units sold, 40 people watching. Selling price £95.99
Same pan set for sale on Amazon.co.uk for only £49.99, that’s a GROSS profit of £46.00 or $70 USD!
IMPORTANT
My first “test” listing will be priced the same as the MAIN competitor, £95.99 and I will monitor it for 48 hours and if no sales during that period I will reduce my price.
The FIRST thing I am going to do is create another folder within my Dropbox/Google Drive Monthly eBay folder and simply save it as the product name.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 49 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
Next, I will grab the images from Amazon.co.uk and save these within this folder.
To do this I simply right click on the image and “save image as” and then save in that folder. I do this with ALL the images shown in the Amazon description.
Once I have ALL the images downloaded, I do one of two things.
1) Remove the white background as MOST of my competitors simply use the STOCK images so the bulk of the eBay listings look the same.
2) Overlay my images on a “relevant” image or add other relevant images onto the product image.
We want our listings to STAND OUT.
I use Photoshop to remove the backgrounds; however, you could use free programmes such as GIMP, or even free sites such as Freebackgroundremoval.com or http://apps.pixlr.com/editor/
Can you guess which listing is mine below?
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 50 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 51 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
From the previous image you can see MOST of the other sellers are simply using the stock images and they end up causing “image blindness”.
By spending a few minutes to “tweak” the main product image our listings STAND OUT from the crowd and “catch” the eye of our potential customers.
There’s nothing complicated about removing image backgrounds and adding a simple border to one of the stock images and then pasting these on a “related” image; however, taking the time to learn and apply this could be the difference between one or two sales or MANY sales!
It’s these “little” things that make a LOT of difference.
You should treat your eBay listing the same as any other marketing medium; however, DO NOT use sales jargon or any kind of “hype”, I’ve discovered this actually turns people off and can cost you sales.
Instead provide CLEAR product information and “re-purpose” the copy you find in both Amazon and on eBay. Do not simply copy your competitors listing verbatim.
Again we want to stand out from the rest of the pack where possible.
You should always TEST elements of your listings until you discover what converts best for you.
Test the product title, images, main headline and the copy within the listing itself. Check out those advertisers who are making a LOT of sales and take note of everything they are doing!

How to price for profit
Two subjects always arise whenever I’m teaching my students how to do Amazon to eBay marketing.
1) What price should I sell my products for?
2) How much are the listing fee’s on eBay?
Let me answer question 2 first and I will do so by providing you with two other great tools/sites that I use to ensure I have enough margin for profit built into my pricing structure.
Introducing…
https://salecalc.com
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 53 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
Currently Salecalc only works for eBay.com (USA) and eBay.co.uk and like ALL tools it is important you take the time to understand how it works and how to ensure you get accurate information out of it.
http://ecal.altervista.org/en/fee_calculator/
eCal is another great tool and unlike salecalc it also works for users from Canada, Australia, Ireland, Germany, Italy, Austria and Switzerland.
The interface isn’t as “slick” as salecalc and it isn’t as intuitive; however, there is a good “help” section that will walk you through exactly how to use the tool.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 54 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
This leads nicely back to Question 1 – What price should I sell my products for?
The simple answer is…
“You sell your product for whatever your potential customers are willing to pay”!
Ok that may be TOO simple; however, I see so many people, trying to compete on “price” and it leaves them with little or NO margin to make a decent profit.
Here’s a VERY simplified pricing formula that has worked well for me.
Day 1 – List your item for the same price as your highest competitor for the same product.
Day 3 – Reduce your price by 5% (if no sales only)
Day 5 – Reduce your price by another 5% (providing you have enough margin built into your price)
Don’t be in a rush to discount your prices too early as you may miss the “sweet spot”. This is the price-point where not only are you getting the bulk of your sales; you are also getting a good margin of profit.
You can repeat the 48 hour price reduction until it no longer makes viable sense as there is NO profit left in the item.
As long as I’m making 10% profit or more I will list that product!
NOTE: if a product isn’t selling simply, delist the item, move on, find another product to list and forget about the ones that are not making you money. I would also suggest removing listings over 7 days old that a) have not made sales or b) do not have at least 15 “watchers” – people who have “clicked” to watch the item in the off chance they may buy.
You will learn to be ruthless with your listings and replace the duds with fresh listings that may just be the ones your potential customers are going to snap up!
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 55 of 65

Congratulations you’ve made a sale…
There is no feeling quite like making your first sale!
Because you have set yourself up for success and “organised” your business as shown in the previous sections, fulfilling the order will take you under 5 minutes! (Please take the time to get organised)
Simply refer back to your research folder and locate the item and you’ll have all the information needed to find the product in Amazon, especially if you have used the product ASIN number within a spreadsheet.
Simply enter the ASIN number in the Amazon Search bar and hit “enter”
You’ll be taken to the EXACT product you have listed and sold so there is ZERO chance of sending the wrong item to your new customer.
Next we are going to place the order.
NEVER USE AN AMAZON PRIME ACCOUNT
I’ve said this before; however, it is important you understand WHY you should NEVER use an Amazon Prime account for shipping.
Amazon will BLOCK your PRIME benefits and may even close your account if they see you “drop-shipping” from your PRIME account. This is why I always recommend setting up another, non-prime account.
There are NO restrictions with a non-prime account and we simply order products as a “gift” that way there is no “Amazon Invoice” included in the packaging.
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 56 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
Once you have found the product in Amazon, the ordering process could NOT be simpler; however, there are FEW things you MUST do to ensure a seamless order and delivery process.
Step 1 – Add To Basket
Step 2 – Check the box “This order contains a gift”
Step 3 – Proceed to Checkout
Step 4- ADD a NEW delivery address (these details are from the eBay order details when you make a sale. NOTE: add YOUR telephone number!
Step 5 – Click on “deliver to this address”
Step 6 – At the top of page “Select Gift Options”, make sure you “check” the “hide prices on the packing list for this purchase”
Step 7 – Click on FREE shipping option
Step 8 – Complete the order and pay.
(Remember, since we have been paid FIRST we already have the funds in PayPal).
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 57 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
How simple was that?
It literally takes two minutes per order and I do TWO order runs per day. Typically I will place my morning orders before 4pm and my afternoon orders later that day by 9pm.
NEVER delay an order, always place your order as soon as you can to ensure your customer receives their goods FAST. This will benefit your business as they are more likely to leave a POSITIVE feedback and this DOES improve your chances of selling more long-term.
Follow Up
This is a VERY important step; however, MANY people do not do this and as a result they may receive refunds/returns are poor reviews.
I wait until 1 day after they have received the goods and email the buyer with this message.
“Hi it’s (your first name),
I just wanted to drop you a message to thank you for buying (product name) and to make sure you are fully happy with your purchase.
We’ve had great feedback about (product name) and we are sure you are going to be 100% satisfied with your decision to buy.
If you have any suggestions on how we can improve our service, please let us know and we’ll be sure to take action.
Once again thank you for your purchase.
Kind regards (your full name)
PS – If you know anyone else who would LOVE (product name) please feel free to tell them about your purchase and direct them to our listing, thank you! 

Beyond Amazon
What I LOVE about Physical Product Arbitrage is the freedom to “source” items from numerous suppliers where I can SELL first then order and either they ship the goods direct to my customer or I take care of the shipping.
Some of these suppliers can be found online and others could be right on your doorstep.
NEVER underestimate the POWER of the obvious.
Here’s a case in point…
Amazon had ran out of a certain product, so I simply copied the product name into a Google search and lo and behold here was the same product priced even cheaper, what’s more the company did FREE shipping with 24 hour delivery within the UK.
I’ve used this method several times now and now I search the “shopping” results of Google almost as often as I search Amazon!
Example
You’ll uncover NUMEROUS suppliers who are more than happy to ship the items for you as a “gift” without the invoice inside the package, just as we do when shipping items from Amazon.

Don’t forget to check out “Budget Retailers”, you’ll be amazed at the prices and the potential for profit!
Here’s a list of my FAVOURITE online sites to grab bargains that can be sold for great profits on eBay. Most offer discounted and even FREE delivery and they WILL ship as gifts, many times in plain packaging.
Target

Asda/Walmart
Argos
Home Depot
B&M
Dollar General
Freds Super Dollar
Lidl
Aldi
JC Penney
Home Bargains
QDStores

This Is It Stores
There’s way too many to list; however, if you do a Google search for “discount stores” and your country you’ll soon uncover some real hidden gems!
Remember when it comes to pricing, profit is profit and also start your prices at a HIGHER price and reduce ONLY of the product hasn’t sold after 48 hours.
NOTE: When doing Retail Arbitrage like this it is VERY important you factor in any and all shipping costs. Each store will have their own shipping charges and you should ensure you factor that into your overall pricing.

Retail Arbitrage Case Study.
My daughter and I were sitting down chatting one day and I asked her what TOY she thought I should sell in the run up to Christmas.
Without hesitation she said “minions, talking minions”!
Unless you’ve been living in a cave you’ve probably seen these little yellow bodied characters EVERYWHERE. They were and still are VERY popular.
Here’s the thing…
I quickly searched eBay to see how much they were and how well they were selling. WOW! I couldn’t believe my eyes, check this out!
This guy had sold 880 of these “Minions” at £41.99 each!
So I went “scouting” around the online discount stores and within minutes I had uncovered TWO retailers who had these is stock and better still they were retailing them for only £24.99. I double checked their stock levels by contacting their local branches and five minutes later I had created my eBay listing.
Within three hours I had sold a Minion Stuart and a Minion Dave to the same customer 
Phil Henderson presents… Stupidly Simple Arbitrage
Page 62 of 65
www.StupidlySimpleArbitrage.com © Copyright WPYO Ltd
As you can see I priced them at £45.99 each. Yes I priced my items HIGHER than the other seller on purpose.
I actually went to the local store and collected these and then shipped them myself which cost me £4.30 each in postage (recorded delivery).
Here’s the full breakdown
Sale Price £45.99
Cost Price £24.99
Postage £ 4.30
Fees £ 6.71
NETT Profit £ 9.99 EACH
These continued to sell right through until around mid-January when the other “sellers” decided to get into a price war and lower their prices.
Stupidly Simple no UP FRONT costs and I received payment before I had to collect and ship, how much easier can it get?
Right now there are THOUSANDS of products waiting for YOU to go and uncover them.
Following what I have shared you could be making GREAT profits within 12 to 24 hours, all you have to do is learn and apply and just keep listing items, after all there is NO costs involved only your time.

FAQ’s
Q “Won’t people complain that they are getting their items from Amazon?”
A You may “rarely” get a customer who will ask this; however, my stock response is “we also sell on Amazon and we choose them to ship the goods as they typically arrive with you much quicker”.
Q “will Amazon get upset with me effectively using them to drop-ship the products to my customers on eBay?”
A Definitely NOT as long as you DO NOT order through your Amazon PRIME account they will be more than happy to do so.
Q “What is your typical profit per product?”
A I don’t really have a “typical profit” as it all depends on the demand of the product and how much I can source it for. A good rule of thumb is to aim for a minimum of 10% NETT profit.
Q “What happens if my customer doesn’t receive their items?”
A Great question! The simple answer is, Amazon use shipping companies who provide “tracking” information so you’ll be able to see EXACTLY where the product is. I recommend updating your customers with this tracking information as soon as you receive it. This serves two purposes 1) your customer can see the item has been dispatched and 2) they KNOW you are using tracking information which reduces the possibility of “fraud”. Unfortunately there are some unscrupulous people in the World who will say they never received the product. However, remember you have “buyer” protection from Amazon and also “seller” protection from PayPal should a dispute arise.
NOTE: If you are shipping products yourself ALWAYS send the packages recorded or special delivery so your customer has to sign on delivery. It costs slightly more than normal postage; however, it is well worth it for the peace of mind it provides.

INTRODUCTION
I‟m a strong believer in passive income.
I‟m an even stronger believer in having multiple sources of passive income. And while
many internet marketers take the ebook or membership site route for generating passive
income, I‟ve fallen head-over-heels in love with Etsy.
Etsy has 54 million registered users. From that you have 19.8 million active buyers and
1.4 million active sellers. And while most of those sellers specialize in handcrafted oneof-
a-kind goodies, there are ways to build a passive income empire on Etsy without the
one-of-a-kind goodies.
Yes, Etsy and passive income do go hand-in-hand, if you know exactly what to sell. And
that‟s what this report is all about.
Over the past seven years, I‟ve launched 7 different Etsy stores. I currently run two Etsy
shops, both based on very specific formulas that give me as much passive income as
possible.
In this report I‟ll talk about the easiest one to start. In an upcoming report I‟ll explain a
second method I use which involves a little bit creating, but requires less creative ability.
(This upcoming report has nothing to do with art.) Stay tuned for that one!
My Personal Passive Income Goldmine on Etsy
I started selling art on Etsy 6 years ago. I believe it was the second shop I launched.
I didn‟t consider myself an artist at the time. I am (and always have been) a hungry
entrepreneur. If there was easy money to be made, I was always ready to learn how to do
it, even if it meant stepping outside my comfort zone.
Art was a good fit for me because most artists don‟t have the greatest marketing and
business sense. I already had the business wisdom lined up, so it was just a matter of
getting good enough to create salable art. My intent was never to become the next
Picasso. I just wanted to learn enough to get people to buy the art I created.
Instead of taking the traditional artist‟s route with pencils and paints and canvases and
pricey boars hair paint brushes, I learned my way around Adobe Illustrator.
4
Illustrator is a software program that‟s similar to Photoshop, except it‟s better for
creating illustrations. You don‟t need to know every nook and cranny of Illustrator in
order to create art with it. (Later in this report, I‟ll talk about what you need to learn and
why you need to learn it. I‟ll even show you how to create what appears to be a complex
piece of art.)
With Illustrator in hand, you can create as much digital art as you want without having
to pay for materials.
Mistakes? No problem. Delete the problem area and start over.
Need a color change? No problem. You‟ve got a gazillion colors at your fingertips.
And at only $20-$30 a month, the price for Illustrator is definitely right. Once you‟ve
got a system going, you can crank out 3-10+ pieces of art every day until your store is
full enough.
Now back when I first started, I had a great big Epsom printer and I would print out my
artwork and ship it to my customers. Today I don‟t do that. Today, I create the art on
Illustrator and sell it as printable artwork on Etsy.
This means the customer is buying a digital file and they will print the art out
themselves.
And while this printable artwork method means I earn $8 less in profits, it also means:
 I don’t have to print anything. Premium archival paper and ink costs could
get pretty hefty, especially when you‟re just learning your way around Illustrator
and you want to see your work printed out.
 I don’t need cardboard sleeves, plastic bags and rigid envelopes to
ship the art work.
 I don’t have to go package everything up and take it to the post office.
 I can be ANYWHERE in the world, create my printable art and sell it
within minutes of deciding that it looks great. I don‟t need a printer and
all the extra material to make a few bucks.
5
I think of my printable artwork as an ebook. Create it once, profit from it forever and
ever. It‟s a great passive income generator, with far less competition than traditional
ebooks.
So now that you know the secret, let me tell you how I create art without any formal
training as an artist.
6
The Secret to Your Success Rests in These Two Rules
I have a theory about selling printable art on Etsy, and you‟ll see me repeat it several
times throughout this report. My theory is only two words long, but it‟s going to save
you a lot of time in this new venture.
Those two words?
RULE #1 – Simplicity sells.
No matter what type of printable art you choose to make, the best thing you can do for
yourself is to keep it simple and clean.
Yes, you‟ll be competing against seasoned artists and graphic designers who have all
kinds of drawing and artistic skills. Yes, their pieces will appear more technically
complex when compared to yours. But don‟t allow that to scare you out of this venture.
There‟s actually a pretty huge market for simple artwork.
For example, when Brianna buys art on Etsy, you can be assured it‟s probably not the
only piece on her wall. Brianna might have several paintings and prints on her wall. She
might have some big wall collage of varying sized pieces – (an idea she got from
Pinterest). Some of the artwork occupying her wall space will be stuff she‟s collected
from serious artists. And some of it will be simple and clean… the exact type I‟ll be
teaching you how to create.
Josephine just moved from Georgia to the concrete jungle known as New York City. Her
600 square foot studio screams, “MODERN!” Josephine is looking for simple, clean
artwork. Yup… the exact type I‟ll be teaching you how to make.
Flora just relocated to a condo in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Big windows, white leather
sofa, and yes, simple artwork.
I can tell you these stories because they were all customers of mine. They loved art… all
kinds of art. If you create what people want, they‟ll buy it.
Art buyers want watercolors. They want acrylic and oil paintings. They want pencil
drawings. They want big. They want little. They want detailed and they want clean lines.
Abstract and realistic. You name it, there‟s probably a market for it.
Because you‟re probably not in the art field, it‟s best that you take the path of least
resistance and keep it simple.
7
Now let‟s dig a little deeper, because it‟s not just a matter of putting up a quote print
made from a basic font and waiting for the sales to pour in.
If you want to start making money right away, you need to make sure your simple
designs look modern.
RULE #2 – The Trend IS Your Friend
I once had the option of buying a condo that had an ancient looking baby blue bathtub
with matching tile throughout the entire bathroom, or one that had a marble tiled
bathroom, with a brand new extra long bathtub.
Even though the unit with ancient looking bathroom had one more bedroom, I opted for
the unit with the better looking bathroom.
The trend is your friend when you want to rent out a unit immediately and for the
highest amount possible. In this case, I was able to get $300 more a month than I would
have if I‟d purchased the unit with the dated looking bathroom.
Trends win. Not always. But most of the time… especially when it comes to printable art.
I‟m going to show you an example of the trend being a friend so that you‟ll understand
the profit power of modern looking art.
First have a look at Baby Art Prints. They sell $5-$20 printable artwork and average 5-
10 sales a day with 1,110+ listings. Their stuff is cute, but I wouldn‟t call it trendy.
Now have a look at Melime Baby Art. They sell $5-$8 printable artwork and average 3-5
sales a day with 125 listings. Their work is more definitely more trendy.
The geographic triangles – trendy. The gold foil look in some of the design elements –
trendy. The quote, “Wild and Free” – trendy.
On average, Melime sells fewer prints than Baby Art Prints. But at the end of the day,
Melime put in FAR less work and they only spent $25 to list their inventory versus $220
with Baby Art Prints.
Now let‟s take it a step further and compare those two stores to Mini Learners.
They sell their printables for $5.83. They have 215+ listings and average 6-10 sales a
day.
8
Mini Learners embraced my two favorite rules. They keep their designs simple. And they
use on trend elements in their work.
Plus they also use two other tips I‟ll be sharing in the next section. Their color scheme is
very small (mainly black and white), and they‟ve limited their font selection to what
looks like two different styles.
So how do you know what‟s on trend?
Start here to get your feet wet: 9 Graphic Design Trends for 2015
Next, proceed to your local library and scan through the latest home decorating
magazines – especially the DIY decorating mags. I‟ve „borrowed‟ plenty of font and color
ideas from stuff I‟ve seen in other publications. And customers love it because they‟re
getting similar designs they‟ve seen elsewhere at a significantly lower price.
Then, I use the following graphic design element sites as my ongoing barometer for
what‟s hot:
Creative Market Popular Fonts
If you‟re going to do quotes, this is a great place to see what fonts are popular right now.
However (and this is important) please keep in mind that Creative Market has a Simple
License that forbids using their fonts in printable artwork. It states, “Cannot be used in
a product offered for sale where the item contributes to the core value of the product
being sold.”
Bummer, I know. But, you can use Creative Market as a point of reference to see what‟s
hot, and then you can go to other font sites (listed on page 19) that permit commercial
usage.
Hype for Type Bestsellers
They have a Merchandise License for each font selection. This means you may use these
fonts in your printable artwork.
Creative Market Popular Add-Ons
They have the popular gold foil look here. They have a letterpress style library which
gives your text that retro/vintage look. There are tons of watercolor brushes. This page
will give you a general idea of what‟s hot as far as design elements. But again, their
Simple License forbids using these add-ons in printable artwork. Only use it as a pointof-
reference. I will show you where to find graphic design elements in the next section.
9
Sell This = Make Steady Passive Income
Simple and trendy. Trendy and simple. Those are the basic rules.
Now the next question is: what should you sell that falls within the parameters of those
two rules? Well as an old timer here, I can tell you that the rotation rarely changes
outside of the items you see below. People buy these types of prints year after year,
without fail.
As long as you change the look of your work to match with the trends, you‟ll do just fine.
(Please re-read that last sentence when sales get slow.)
1) Quotes, quotes and more quotes
We‟re talking Bible verses, quotes about cities, inspirational messages, quotes you make
up, words and even numbers.
If you‟re going to do quotes and word prints, I suggest you come up with a theme. Don‟t
do Bible verses and sports quotes in one Etsy shop… either do one or the other. Then
when you make the categories in your Etsy store, you can further segment the theme.
Going back to the sports quotes example (which is great idea that really hasn‟t been
done-to-death on Etsy), you can have baseball quotes, basketball quotes, soccer quotes
(or football, depending on what side of the pond you‟re on), tennis quotes and so on.
For Bible verses, you can break it down by verses for family unity, verses for strength,
verses for marriage, verses for healing, etc.
Here are several more theme quote ideas you can build your shop around:
 Quotes about specific occupations (nurse quotes, teacher quotes)
 Quotes about friendship
 Quotes for parents/grandparents
 Holiday quotes
 Hobby quotes (gardening, golf)
 Foodie quotes
 Fitness quotes
 Spiritual quotes
 Lines from popular songs
 Lines from popular television shows
10
2) Animals
Dog and cat prints tend to do well on Etsy, especially if you have a separate print for
each breed. If you can combine an image of a dog breed with a cute quote, even better.
For instance, a silhouette of a poodle and a quote like, “Home is where my poodle is.”
And then you can have a silhouette of shih tzu and the same quote, “Home is where my
shih tzu is.”
Other animals that do well on Etsy include: deer (with or without antlers), birds, koalas,
horses, foxes, whales and butterflies.
The animals that you include in your print don‟t have to look realistic (as in hand
drawn). If you know your way around the Adobe Illustrator pen tool, you‟ll be able to
create a silhouette of a specific animal. This is even better than clip art, because now you
have something that is YOUR OWN personal image. Using the pen tool means you‟ll
even be able to add in small details, like color on a tummy.
(In a later section I‟ll be showing you a print I did several years ago where I used the pen
tool to create two different silhouettes.)
3) Nursery/Children’s Art
This is where I got my feet wet when I first started selling prints online. It‟s a very
lucrative market because your potential customer base is always expanding. (Hurray for
baby making and tons of Etsy-shopping moms!)
When it comes to children‟s art work, you‟ll usually see more images– versus quote
prints. Things like:
 birds
 bunny rabbits
 bears
 elephants
 giraffes
 zebras
 pandas
 flowers
 hearts
 rainbows
 clouds
 balloons
11
 robots
 rocket ships
 airplanes
 sailboats
 lighthouses
 tents and campfires
 bicycles
 dump trucks
 hot air balloons
 cute sea creatures (dolphins, whales, lobsters, octopus, seahorse)
 unicorns and dragons
 dinosaurs
Outside of pictures, buyers also like decorated monogram letters, short quotes
(“Adventure Awaits Little One”), the alphabet and numbers.
4) Location Pride
The most basic print idea is the silhouette of a state. Several sellers are making the trend
their friend, by making the silhouette appear like it‟s been painted with gold leaf. (You
can easily do this with a gold foil texture and Illustrator‟s clipping mask, which I‟ll talk
about in the next section.)
You can do silhouettes of skylines. Or even the silhouette of a major landmark with a
quote.
You may opt to do just quote prints about cities – “New York, New York, What a
wonderful town.”
Maps made into prints for a specific city have also done well, especially if you can find a
few in the public domain.
For location loving geeks, how about latitude and longitude incorporated into your
print?
For the sports lovers with locational pride, you can offer a quote about local teams.
Obviously there are lots of ways to tackle this niche.
12
How to Come Up With 100 Printable Ideas in 60
Minutes or Less
You will need at least 100 printables in your shop to get orders on a regular basis. I say
“at least,” because the more, the better. Once you reach 200, and follow my marketing
tactics (presented later) you should be getting at least a few orders a day.
Many printable super sellers have 200-700 listings, but not all of those prints are
different. In some shops you‟ll notice that a seller will have the same print listed
multiple times with a different color scheme. This is perfectly acceptable, though I‟m old
school in that I like having an excess of ideas ready to go at any given time.
In your Etsy storefront, you‟re encouraged to come up with Shop Sections for your
products. If you can come up with 10 Shop Sections, and develop 10 printable ideas for
each category, you‟ve got 100 ideas to start with.
Likewise, you can develop 5 Shop Sections to start, with 20 printable ideas in each one.
Later on when you start seeing which printables sell best, you can add Shop Sections
based on your bestsellers.
For instance, if you have an Outdoor Sports section, and you notice that you‟re selling a
ton of soccer printables, you can add a different section just for soccer quotes. This is
always a good search engine optimization strategy.
Okay, so suppose you want to do quote prints for children. You decide to make „the great
outdoors‟ the focus of your shop. Maybe you name your shop something like, Get
Outside Child.
First, you‟ll come up with 5-10 different categories that relate to the great outdoors. (I‟m
literally just pulling these out of thin air as I type this… you can probably do better.)
1. Camping
2. Nature
3. Fishing
4. Seasons
5. Mountains
6. Adventure
7. Biking
8. Play
9. Swimming
13
10. Outdoor Sports
Then for each category, you‟re going to do the following Google searches:
“camping words”
“camping quotes”
As you look through the different words and quotes, just start writing down short
phrases that pop into your mind. They don‟t have to be super poetic. It‟s usually the
quirkiest little saying that sells the most, so don‟t judge yourself while doing this.
(Besides that, you‟re not printing anything, so you can afford to let your imagination go
wild.)
You may also want to borrow my little cheat sheet of universal quote phrases. Insert a
word/phrase into the blank line and you have a ready-to-go quote. You‟ll notice that I‟ve
used some of these in the Get Outside Child brainstorm session.
o I believe in __________
o I love __________
o Future __________
o __________+__________= Yay!
o __________ Here I Come
o Life is always better with__________
o All you need is __________
o __________ and smile

o It‟s a good day to __________
o You‟ll never __________ if you don‟t __________
o Hurray for __________!
o Long live __________

14
Even though you might only be doing quotes for this store, it‟s also a good idea to come
up with a quick image idea for at least some of your printables, just in case you want to
alternate between quotes and images.
Based on what I just told you, here‟s what I came up with for Get Outside Child.

Do This, Not That: 5 Artistic Guidelines That’ll Keep You
Sane and Constantly Selling
I‟m not going to make you an Adobe Illustrator expert in this short report. Illustrator is
a meaty program with lots of doo-dads to go through.
What I am going to do is show you just enough about Adobe Illustrator so that even if
you‟ve never seen it before you‟ll be able to go in, create printable art, and make it look
like a fairly skilled professional did it. You‟ll see exactly which toolbars, windows and
palettes to use.
If you stick with what I‟m going to tell you, and learn about the specific tools I talk
about, you‟ll be fine. I‟m including links to lots of tutorials that have helped me master
these tools over the years.
1) Keep your color schemes simple
Why? Because simplicity sells, of course.
If you check out the catalogs of Etsy‟s printable art super sellers, you‟ll notice that many
of their works are 2-3 colors at the most. Earning a decent profit is sometimes as simple
as black and white (pun intended!).
For example, a pink background with white lettering, a white background with gold
lettering, or a navy blue background with a white image.
If you want to have more than one color for single piece of art, you can always add color
options to your listing. For example, if you‟re selling a quote print, you can have a black
background, blue background, pink background, orange background, etc. You can
provide all the color options under a single 20 cent listing and your customer can choose
the colored background they want.
If you want to have more than two colors, and you‟re not exactly a color matching
expert, have a look at the Material Palette. You choose two colors from the 19 listed and
the app automatically creates a color palette for you. It‟s a very simple way to create a
quick color scheme.
There‟s also a wide variety of palettes at ColourLovers.com. I also love Design Seeds
search, which allows you to search by season, flora, edible hues, creatures, rustic,
market hues and so on.
18
As a non-artist, I don‟t do any type of shading. If I have a ball on a page, that ball is a
single color. Don‟t ever feel like you have to go overboard with how you color the
objects. You‟ll lose your mind if you try too hard.
Keep your work simple and it‟ll sell. Many Etsy shops have successfully proven this
point, time and time again.
2) Build a small font library
While there are thousands of fonts to choose from, it‟s important (for time‟s sake) that
you find several you really love and stick to those.
I like to have 2-3 sans serif fonts, 2-3 cursive fonts, 2-3 serif fonts, 2-3 handwritten
fonts, and an outline font.
From that selection, I have at least one group that matches — like a serif font and a sans
serif font. Or a cursive font and a sans serif font.
Everybody has their favorite fonts, but I do suggest you keep trendy looking fonts in
your arsenal. If the fonts you use are modern looking, you‟ll bump up your trendy points
and have a greater opportunity to make more sales.
DO NOT pick commonly used fonts like Arial, Times New Roman or Comic Sans (which
is the WORST possible font you can ever pick in your entire life).
While the average person may not be able to look at a print and say, “Ewwww, why are
they using Arial???” something will register in their sub-conscious that it looks too
normal. You want simple, but not normal. You don‟t get paid well for normal. You get
paid when you make the trend your friend.
I‟ve included several font pairing examples below. Many can be used for commercial
projects, but you‟ll always want to double check to make sure. It‟s no fun paying for a
font only to realize that the license forbids commercial use.

3) Make friends with the pen.
As a non-artist, one of the best things you can do to ramp up your design skills super
fast is to learn how to use the pen tool in Adobe Illustrator.
With the pen tool, you can take any image, trace an outline of it, color the outline in (or
use the silhouette), and place the new image in your artwork. This is how I create my
own personal clipart library.
I won‟t go over all the logistics of using the pen tool in this report, as there are entire
books written about it. But there are several great tutorials, including:

VIDEO: How To Use The Pen Tool in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign CS6
4) When in doubt, use SCI to lay it out.
Don‟t ever feel compelled to fill every centimeter of space on your page. Plenty of sellers
have nothing but a single image in the center of the page, and they do perfectly fine.
I call these prints Single Centered Images or SCI for short.
Take Fancy Digitals, for example. They have 265+ printables in their store. The majority
are an image in the center of the page. They sell each printable for $5 and they average
2-4 sales a day.
And then there‟s LineLight. They have 190+ printables they sell for $5, and they also
average 2-4 sales a day. Many of their prints are SCI.
Best of all, SCI isn‟t just for images. You can lay your quotes out in SCI fashion as well.
Inspirational Quote has an obvious (and profitable) love for SCI. They‟ve got 775+
printable quote posters for $5. As far as I can see, they‟re all done in SCI. They average
4-8 sales a day.
Obviously they‟re not getting rich selling these single images. But once those single
images are created, it‟s all passive income. Hit the relist button and go spend your gas
money, type of thing.

5) Use elements as the secret sauce.
Swirls.
Striped lines.
Wood texture.
Clip art.
Glitter!!!!!
These items are all in the realm of graphic design elements, and they‟re an easy way to
add some trend to your printables. In most cases it‟s just a matter of opening the file in
Illustrator and adding the element to your printable design. No drawing skills necessary.
Nor will you have to use the pen tool.
I‟m going to show you how other artists have used graphic design elements in their work
so you‟ll understand how to use them in your own printable art.
 You Are My Sunshine has a decorative element above and below the text.
(Similar elements can be found at Vectorian.net.)
 The Love print is centered on the page against a chevron background.
(A similar chevron background can be found at the Rustic Digital Paper shop.)
 Love Lives Here is centered in between a laurel wreath.
(A similar laurel wreath can be found at Vecteezy, where a premium membership
is only $14 a month… and it‟s royalty free.)
 This Jane Austen Quote is centered on an ink splotch.
(A similar ink splotch can be found at Vecteezy. The premium membership is $14
a month and you get royalty free downloads.)
 Life is a Beautiful Ride has a bike.
(Pixaby is a search engine for royalty free images, including vector graphics and
illustrations that can be used with Adobe Illustrator. Here are a bunch of bikes I
found there.)
Below, I‟ve listed several shops that feature graphic design elements you can use within
your printables. For the Etsy shops, I‟ve linked directly to the listing for the commercial
22
license. A commercial license basically gives you the right to use someone else‟s
elements in work you sell.
While there are many more sellers on Etsy that offer commercial licenses, not all of
them allow you to include their work in digital form. I‟ve gone through dozens of shops
to find the ones that do. However, keep in mind that sellers can (and do) change their
minds. So while the information listed is accurate as of the time I‟m writing this, always
make sure you check the terms of their commercial license before you buy it.
Click Designs Commercial License
You may use their digital papers in your printable artwork if you sell 250 copies or less.
Once you hit 250 sales, you‟ll need to purchase a commercial license for $20.
Rustic Digital Paper Commercial License
They have a $20 extended commercial license for using their clipart and digital paper.
Pixel Garden Mini Commercial License
This $14 commercial license allows you to use Pixel Garden‟s digital paper and clip art
in products up to 300 sales.
Grepic Extended License for Commercial Use
This $20 extended license permits you to use Grepic‟s digital paper and clip art on
merchandise for sale.
My Dear Memories Extended License
You may use their clip art and digital paper in up to 100 sales without the extended
license. Once you hit 100 sales, you must purchase the $20 extended license.
Studio Nine Digital Art Commercial Use License
This $15.52 license can be used for both digital and physical products.
Pixeled Paper Designs
You may use any of her clip art or digital paper for commercial use IF it contributes to
less than 60% of the total project. See the policies page for more details.
Retrovectors
They have a variety of graphic design elements that can be used in commercial projects.
These are 100% free!
23
InkyDeals
They‟ve always got deals for vector files, illustrations, fonts, backgrounds and textures
that come with commercial (also known as extended) licenses.
Deal Jumbo
To me they‟re slightly more on trend than InkyDeals. They‟ve always got some good stuff
here with commercial licenses.
Spoon Graphics Freebies
He has some great backgrounds and textures here. He also has a $10 a month section
with hundreds more textures and graphics.
GraphicStock
They have a free 7 day download period for new members, and all of their images are
royalty free.

How to Set Up Illustrator for Creating Printables
I personally use Adobe Illustrator CS4, which came on a CD. Adobe no longer sells the
actual software.
Now they have the Creative Cloud (CC) version. You download the basic program onto
your computer, and all the licensed stuff is in the cloud (online). This means you‟ll need
a paid subscription to use anything beyond Illustrator CS6.
It‟s actually cheaper to get the CC subscription than it is to buy an old software copy of
Illustrator. Plus you automatically get all the updates with the CC subscription.
However the downside of a subscription is the monthly cost. It‟s $19.99 a month, if you
choose to go month-t0-month for a year, $239.88 if you pay for a year up front, or
$29.99 a month if you don‟t want to lock yourself in for a year.
If you‟re a student or a teacher, that price goes down to $19.99 a month, without a yearly
contract, or $239.88 a year paid up front.
You could get out your initial 100-150 printables out within the first month (or within
the first week, depending on how well you work your way around Illustrator) — if you
have a list of 100-150 print ideas in a ready-to-go list. Within two months you should
plan on having at least 150-200 printables in your shop.
Setting Up a Printable Document
When you fire up Illustrator, you‟ll see a “Create New” window. Always choose “Print
Document.”
25
After you click on “Print Document” you‟ll be taken to a second window that allows you
to choose your artboard (otherwise known as a canvas) options.
The four most important options are:
 Width and height – This is where you type in the size of the artboard you want to
create your printable on.
 Units – I‟m in the USA, so I go with inches. If you‟re in A4 land, you may want to
go with centimeters.
 Orientation – Are you going to make your design vertical or horizontal?
 Raster Effect – Choose the highest resolution, which is 300 dpi.
Printable sizes and file types
If you‟re only going to offer one default size, let that be 8×10 (inches). This is the most
commonly offered size among printable sellers. 11×14 and 16×20 are second and third in
the lineup.
A4 (8.27 x 11.70) and A3 (11.70 x 16.55) are popular sizes for those outside of the United
States.
26
If you‟re going to offer two different sizes, I‟d say 8×10 and 11×14. You can also set up a
separate listing for resizing your prints if a customer needs a different option. Sellers
charge $2-$5 for this extra.
Prints are typically formatted as JPEG files of the highest quality, which is 300 dpi.
So when you save your file, first you‟ll save it as an AI file (Adobe Illustrator). This will
allow you to go back in and easily change all the colors, text, pictures, etc. To do this, go
to the “File” menu at the top of the program and go down to “Save.” By default, your file
will save as an .AI file.
Next, you‟ll save it as a JPEG file. To do this, go to the “File” menu at the top of the
program and go down to “Save for Web & Devices.” (This part may be different
depending on your version of Illustrator, but it‟s always something similar.) Be sure to
change the file format to JPEG… Maximum… with the highest quality, as shown in the
screenshot below.
27
How to Create Complicated Art Easily
Whenever you‟re trying to duplicate what looks to be like a complex piece of art,
remember that everything you see is just a layer. The only thing you have to do is create
each layer separately and then piece it all together.
This is great because it allows you to change colors, resize images and move layers at
will. If you don‟t like a particular layer, you can easily move it out of the artboard area
and put something else in. Nothing is set in stone with Illustrator.
Remember, as long as you save your basic print as an .AI file, you‟ll be able to go back in
and change anything. Once you‟ve made your final adjustments, you save it as a JPEG
file. If you only save a printable as a JPEG, you‟re basically screwed because you won‟t
be able to change anything. All the layers will be flattened together. (I know I mentioned
this a couple pages back, but it‟s really important that you save the files two different
ways.)
Okay, so this is a print I did five years ago. (It sold very well.) It has a total of five layers.
I chose this one to demo because it shows how to create and add in images, color and
texture (over the brown deer). These are simple techniques that can be used on a variety
of printable pieces. If you can do this, you can have a thriving printables store.
28
BOTTOM LAYER: Blue background – I just made a blue box (from the shapes toolbar)
on the canvas.
To do this, simply click on the “Shapes” toolbar on the far left hand side of the screen. If
you click on it, hold the click, and pull the mouse a little to the right, you‟ll see a square,
circle, rounded rectangle, polygon, star, etc. Obviously this is the toolbar you‟ll use to
easily create different shapes.
Now go over to your artboard, left click on the mouse, hold it and draw out the rectangle
background to fill the artboard. It should now look like white on white.
29
To add the blue color to the rectangle shape you just created, click on the “Selection”
tool, which is the dark colored arrow. (You‟ll see me refer to this one constantly.) The
Selection tool does exactly as the name implies… it selects whatever image, shape or text
you want. Once an object is selected, you can color it, move it, or resize it.
After you‟ve click on that Selection tool, click on the rectangle you just created. If you‟ve
selected it correctly, you should see a blue outline appear around the rectangle, as in the
screenshot below.
You‟ll notice that my rectangle is slightly bigger than the artboard. This is perfectly okay.
When you save the file, it will only save the objects on the artboard. I like this feature
because it allows you to experiment with all kinds of stuff off the artboard, then you can
add what you want. When you print the document, none of the fluff outside of the
artboard will appear.
30
With the rectangle selected, you can change the color by double clicking on the color
palette on the far right hand side of the screen. If you double click on that little square
I‟ve circled, the “Color Picker” will appear on the screen. You can use the Color Picker to
choose any color you want for your objects or even text.
31
SECOND BOTTOM LAYER: Yellow sun – Half circle (also from the shapes toolbar)
colored the desired yellow color. (Here‟s a video tutorial on how to do the half-circle in
Illustrator.)
To color it yellow, click on the “Select” tool, then click on the image of the circle. Now
choose the desired color from the color panel on the far right hand side of the screen.
32
THIRD BOTTOM LAYER: Outline of a tree – I used the pen tool to outline a tree
from a random picture I found online. (There are tutorials for using the pen tool on page
20.)
You see how some of the tree is missing on the artboard? Initially the entire tree was
there, but I thought it looked better with some of it missing. Kind of like a photograph.
To achieve this look, I made a clipping mask over the artboard. This technique allowed
me to cut away anything that‟s outside of the artboard, to make it look like the missing
portions of the tree.
Let me show you how you‟d do it with this oval hanging over the artboard. See how it‟s
dangling out of the right and left of the artboard? We‟re going to mask the dangling
parts.
33
34
First, you‟ll click on the “Shapes” toolbar and get the “Rectangle Tool.”
35
Now create a rectangle that fits exactly on the edges of the artboard. (Or as close as you
can get.) To resize the rectangle, click on the “Select” tool and move the edges till you‟re
happy. Keep in mind, everything outside of that new rectangle will get clipped off.
36
You‟ll need to select everything on the artboard that you want to clip. To do this, click on
the “Select” tool. Now hold down the Shift key as you select all the objects you wish to
clip.
Since I want to get rid of the excess yellow box and the black oval, I click on both of
these objects. Make sure the top rectangle stays selected as well.
37
Now go to the “Object” menu at the top of the program, go down to “Clipping Mask” and
select “Make.”
You should now see that the edges underneath the white rectangle have all been clipped
away, as in the screenshot below.
If you need to select any of the objects caught in the clipping mask, you‟ll now need to
use the “Direct Selection” tool, which is the white arrow.
That Direct Selection tool allows you to move either the black oval or the yellow
background and still have the clipping mask cover the excess over the edges of the
artboard.
Neat, huh? Well that‟s exactly how I did the tree in the deer print.
38
39
FOURTH BOTTOM LAYER: White shadow of a deer – I used the pen tool to outline a
deer from a random picture I found online.
40
FIFTH BOTTOM LAYER: Brown silhouette of a deer – This is a replica of the white
shadow deer, except it‟s colored brown and it has a watercolor looking overlay. I moved
it slightly to the right to give the illusion of a shadow.
First, to make a copy of an image, use the “Selection” tool to highlight the image.
Now go the “Edit” window at the top of the page, and scroll down to “Copy.”
41
Once it has been copied, click outside of the canvas area to deselect the image. (Where
the ugly red star is.)
Now go the “Edit” window again at the top of the page, and go down to “Paste in Front.”
42
The copied image will now appear close to original image.
43
Now for the watercolor overlay on the deer.
First, we‟ll find a watercolor texture that can be used specifically with Illustrator. Hello
Geri has a nice looking freebie pack. (This isn‟t the one I used for the deer, but if you
Google, “watercolor texture for Illustrator” you‟ll find many more available.)
Once the texture file has been downloaded onto your hard drive, unzip it.
Go to the “File” menu at the top of the program, and go down to “Place.”
44
It will open a file window, and you‟ll look for the watercolor texture (the same one you
just downloaded and unzipped) that you want to use in your artwork. Once you see the
one you want to use, double click it and it will appear in your Illustrator workspace.
45
Okay, right now that copied deer is underneath the watercolor texture. You need it to be
over top of the watercolor texture.
To do this, click on that “Selection” tool again and then click on the copied image of the
deer. (You may have to click on the watercolor texture first to move it out the way a bit.)
46
Now right click on the deer you just selected. A window will pop up. You want to go
down to “Arrange,” then “Bring to Front.” This will put the copied deer in front of the
watercolor texture. (Make sure the deer is completely on the watercolor texture.)
With the deer image still selected, you‟re going to hold the shift key while also clicking
on the watercolor texture. This allows you to have both the watercolor texture and the
deer image both selected at the same time. (Notice there are blue outlines around both
objects.)
47
Go to the “Object” menu at the top of the program, click on it, go down to “Clipping
Mask,” and click on “Make.”
48
The watercolor texture should have meshed with the image of the deer.
49
To add the brown color to the deer, keep it selected and click on the desired brown in
the “Swatch” palette on the far left hand side of the screen. (If you don‟t see the swatch
palette, click on the “Window” menu at the top of the program, and click on “Swatches.”
It will then appear on the far left hand side of the screen.)
You can also use the Color Picker (as described in the BOTTOM LAYER) to choose a
color. The “Swatch” palette is just an alternative way to choose a color.
50
Move the brown deer over top of the white silhouette. Position it the way you want, and
you‟re done!
51
One More Thing About Clipping Masks…
The clipping mask technique can be used on both vector images and text. This means if
you want to use glitter or gold foil texture on your text, you‟d use the exact same
technique that I showed you for the brown deer.
Place the text or the image over the texture… Select both the object and the texture with
the “Select” tool… Go to the “Object” window at the top of the program, go down to
“Clipping Mask” and click “Make.”
If you need to undo the clipping mask at any time, use your mouse to right click on the
image or text… a pop up window will appear… click on “Release Clipping Mask”… the
mask will undo itself… the image/text and the texture will appear separately again.
52
Creating a Quote Print
I‟ve got a really easy print quote formula that I follow and it‟s based on all the rules and
guidelines I already provided you with.
For this demonstration I‟m going to use a song called, Try Jah Love by Third World.
(It‟s a reggae song from the early 80‟s, and Jah means God.)
STEP 1: Create each word separately
Select the “Type” tool in, and type in each word for your quote on a separate line. As you
see in the screenshot here, I typed in „Try.‟
53
To enlarge the text, you‟ll click the “Select” tool (remember, it‟s that top black arrow at
the top of the tools there). Now position your mouse over one of the corner anchor
points… hold down your shift key… and drag it out. This technique maintains the sizing
proportion of the word.
Do the same thing for each word. The sizes don‟t have to match perfectly right now.
54
STEP 2: Choose your font
To select a group of words, you‟ll click the “Select” tool and then while holding down the
Shift key, click on each word.
55
Once all the words are selected, click on the “Type” menu at the top of the program, then
go down to “Font” and hover your mouse over it.
A list of fonts will appear for you to choose from. Pick the one you want and the words
you‟ve chosen will change to that font selection.
56
I really like the Bebas font for typographic prints. It‟s clean, clear and simple. Right up
my alley!
57
STEP 3: Re-size and adjust the words
Now, I‟ll play with the sizing and the coloring of the words to see what I like. (I talked
about re-sizing and coloring in the previous tutorial.) Since this is a reggae song, and the
album cover has red, gold and green, I‟m going to use those colors for the words.
58
In this first version I used kerning to push the letters closer together in Try and Jah.
This is something you‟ll be doing on a regular basis since the default setting for the
character spacing may not give you the look you want.
Go up to the “Window” menu at the top of the screen and go down to “Type,” then click
on “Character.” The Character panel will pop up on the screen. The spot on the
Character panel with the AV and the arrow underneath it is the kerning selector.
Now using the “Select” tool, you‟ll click on the text that you want to push together (or
move apart). For Try and Jah, I set the kerning to -75. For Love, I set it to -10. The
higher the negative kerning, the less space in between each letter. For more space
between each character, set it to a positive number. Easy.
59
In this second version, I set the kerning for Try and Jah at 200. (You can go higher than
200 if you use the up arrow.) I left love at -10.
60
In this third version, I set the kerning to 300 for Try and Jah. Still at -10 for Love, except
I did enlarge Love. I also separated the space in between the words.
As you can see, it‟s all about playing with the text to see what you like.
I like to run through a list of typographic options including:
 Making each word a different color/Making one word a different color
 Change the background color
 Increase/decrease kerning
 Increase/decrease space in between lines
 Make a word bold, italic, a different font
 Add a texture to a font
 Make a word smaller or bigger than the rest
 Make all the letters uppercase/lowercase
 Slant a word/Turn a word upside down
61
STEP 4: Put in a background or elements (optional)
As you can see outside the artboard, I have a few handmade elements to play around
with, but I didn‟t like the way any of them looked. Instead, I changed the background
colors.
62
And then I changed the font color for Jah.
Now perhaps you would‟ve stopped by now. Or maybe you might‟ve kept going. It
depends on the style you were working towards.
There is no right or wrong answer here. It just depends on what you like. My guess is
that if you liked the colored letters, most of your printables would consist of colored
letters. Likewise if you liked the colored background, you‟d have a bunch of printables
with striped, colored backgrounds.
Typically once you find a style that you like, it‟s good to create a full line around that
particular style. Make it your signature. Own it.
63
Listing Your Images on Etsy
Getting 100 pieces of printable artwork done may seem like a big task, but it‟s just one
half of setting up your shop. The second part comes with the listing process.
Normally the listing part is a bit daunting. I run an earring shop on Etsy with 200+
listings and it was no easy feat getting all those pictures and descriptions done. I hated
it!
But with printables your job is MUCH easier because you don‟t have to take pictures of
your work. Whoops… let me restate that. You have to take one picture — total.
That‟s one picture whether you have 100 listings or 1,000. This picture is going to be a
demo to show how your work looks framed in real life — just like I did with the deer
print on page 28.
Put your favorite print in a nice frame, with a matte. Notice how I photographed the
deer print against a window background? Nothing fancy. The natural light was great
because it really made the colors pop. Just do one demo picture like this and you‟ll be
good to go.
For all the others, you‟re going to use mockup scenes to display your work.
What is a mockup scene, you ask?
It‟s a pre-created image, like a desk, a table, wall space or a mantle. The mockup scene
has a frame and all you have to do is insert your printable into the frame. You can then
use this imagery in your Etsy shop listings, with no picture taking required.
I love this one by Shop Lemony Fresh on Etsy.
64
Mockup scenes do require Photoshop. And if you have Photoshop, each mockup maker
has a tutorial for usage.
However if you‟re not Photoshop proficient, do not despair. Since this is a one shot deal,
you can always outsource this task to someone on Odesk or Elance. A friend of mine had
100 images done for less than $30.
Here are several more mockup scenes for your listing pleasure. As usual, do check the
licensing to make sure that you can use these in your Etsy shop. As of right now, they‟re
valid… but it‟s better to be safe than sorry.
Creative Mockups
They have several frame-on-desk mockups, plus a few larger frames.
Shop Lemon Fresh
Pretty, girly framed mockups.
65
KL Styled Photographs
If you‟re looking for a nursery scene, KL has a few to choose from. I also like the various
sizes of the wall posters. Well worth a peek.
Tany Di Design Studio
I like the hanging mockups here. Very simple and uncluttered.
Mockup Scene Creator Desk Edition
Showcase your printable artwork in a poster frame on a desk scene that you create from
a variety of elements. They have feminine items you can add, Christmas decorations,
various types of chairs, plants, background images and so on.
Create Your Own Mockups Extended License
There are more than 200 elements you can include in the scene, like a laptop, watch,
camera, sunglasses, etc.
Gold Frame Desk Mockup
This one has a gold frame against a pink and white wallpaper background. Nice and
girly.
White Vertical Frame Mockup
Clean white frame with a plant in a can on a wooden floor.
White Hart Design Studio
They carry several frame mockup scenes that are clean and quite chic.

9 Things You Must Include in Your Etsy Description
The beauty of selling printable art is that what your customers sees is what they get. This
means no creative descriptions are necessary, unless you just want to go above and
beyond the call of duty.
In general, there are 9 mentionables your Etsy descriptions should have. You can
basically write one description and include it will all of your prints. The only thing you
might want to customize at the beginning is the name of the print and the colors used.
This allows you to get more SEO points.
1) Keywords in the title
There are three parts to the title of your listing. How you choose to incorporate these
three parts is totally up to you. Just make sure they‟re all there for SEO purposes.
The words “printable art” are a must. Mention the type of art it is – for example, kitchen
art, nursery art, modern art, minimalist art, etc. And then tell what it is – motivational
quote, Bible verse, clouds, butterflies, a deer.
Here‟s an example: Deer in the Woods Printable Art, modern art, nursery art
2) Tags
Etsy permits a total of 13 tags. These are descriptive keywords/phrases based around the
product you‟re selling.
I always use the following 6 tags to start with: printable art, printable wall art, art print,
digital art, digital print, instant download
The remaining tags are devoted to colors, type of art – (nursery art, geometric art) and
what‟s featured in the print (butterfly, light bulb). If I have the print listed as a set, I also
like to use the term: art print set.
3) Attention, attention… this is digital file.
Somewhere in your description, clearly mention that customers will receive a digital
download, NOT a print in the mail. Even though you say „printable,‟ you never want
there to be any type of misunderstanding.
67
4) Sizing details about the print
Mention the size of the jpegs they‟ll receive. Several sellers include more than one size
(8×10 and 11×14) within a single listing. If you‟re willing to do this, it could be a
noticeable selling point.
5) A list of other prints in your inventory that would match as a set
If you have a group of 2-4 prints that would look good together, do cross-sell them
(include links to them) in your description. Even in my earring shop, my biggest sellers
are the groups I put together.
6) How and where to print
Most prints will look the best when printed through digital photo sites like Snapfish or
Shutterfly. I‟ve also used FedEx Kinko‟s, which is good because customers can choose
the paper type they want. I find that a crisp white cardstock usually works best.
7) Colors vary according to monitor
Every monitor is calibrated differently, so colors that appear one way on my system may
look slightly different on yours. You can keep your customers expectations in check by
saying something like, “Please be aware that every monitor is different, so the color you
see on the screen may look slightly different when printed out.”
8) Where’s the link?
Minutes after your customer orders, they‟ll receive an email with a link to the printable.
Mention this in the description so they know what to expect.
9) Terms of use
You may use this in your listing: “STORE NAME prints are for personal use only. They
cannot be resold or redistributed either in print or electronically. They cannot be used
for commercial or promotional ventures.”
68
Marketing Your Printables on Etsy
I don‟t do marketing outside of Etsy.
That‟s not to say that my work isn‟t promoted outside of Etsy. It just means that I don‟t
do the leg work. If your art is worth sharing, trust and believe that people will spread the
word on their blogs and sites like Pinterest.
But that‟s just it. It has to be share-worthy. It needs to have a defined audience and the
design work has to be decent.
I made up a store idea on page 12 called Get Outside Child. This is the kind of shop that
would get some decent off-of-Etsy attention. Why? Because there are a lot of parents
who think kids spend too much time playing video games and watching television.
A shop like Get Outside Child would appeal to many mom bloggers with this philosophy.
Best of all, they‟re ALWAYS looking for cute stuff like this to feature.
Years ago I ran a blog where I reviewed hipster type products on Etsy. I counted the
clicks that went out to the products I reviewed and the numbers were quite astounding.
I don‟t know the exact sales figures, but I did notice that often a product would show up
as „sold‟ after it appeared on my blog.
To get other people to market your printables, you have to focus on doing awesome
design work and selling to a defined audience. If you do those two things, the sales often
fall into place.
Here‟s a list of marketing tasks I do. Though Etsy changes its search algorithms
periodically, these are the things that have consistently kept me in front of potential
buyers no matter what else is going on.
Relist at least 3-5 items EVERY DAY
It‟ll cost you 20¢ each time, but this is probably the most important on-site marketing
task you can do.
When you re-list an item it pushes it to the front of the category results. This means
potential buyers are more apt to see your item if they‟re browsing through the art
category at the time you re-list.
69
I suggest you try re-listing at different times during the day to see when you get the most
eyeballs. For me, it‟s usually after 2pm EST, but results may vary for you.
Create a Treasury 4 times a week
The Treasury is a huge set of member-curated galleries consisting of items on Etsy. You
can include a maximum of 16 items in each Treasury, and you can create as many
Treasuries as you want. (Etsy suggests you choose items from different shops, versus
listing several items from a single shop.)
If you happen to curate a really good Treasury, the number of views can be astounding.
It‟s possible to get 5-8K+ views in an eight hour period. This isn‟t the norm, but it is
possible. Most Treasuries get about 30-100 views on the first day, and then the views
trickle in from there. Of course, the more Treasuries you build, the better your chances
for hitting the big time.
When you curate a Treasury, you can include a list of tags in submission. Always make
sure to include tags listed in the “Today‟s Trending Tags” section of the Treasury page.
In fact, if you click on any of the tags in the “Today‟s Trending Tags” section, you‟ll be
shown several more related tags. This is an easy way to get in on the most trafficked
terms for the day.
70
But don‟t limit yourself to just these tags. Right now “may shopping” is trending, but you
can also try “spring 2015” and “spring shopping” as tags.
Also, the first 4 items of every Treasury is shown on the Treasury page. So be sure your
printable is within that rotation, plus 3 other stunning items. You want the best of the
best within those first 4.
Re-color and list 5-10 items a week
Even though I‟ve been at this for several years, I‟m often a bit amazed at what people
end up buying.
Sometimes the things I think will sell like crazy, only do okay, while the stuff I really
don‟t like ends up doing seriously well. And then you have situations where people will
„like‟ something to death, but nobody buys it. But the items that nobody „likes,‟ ends up
selling like crazy.
That seems to be the case with colors.
I learned a long time ago that it‟s best to offer a printable in a variety of colors and let
the customers decide, versus trying to figure out what‟s going to sell. (This is the beauty
of a 20¢ listing selling a printable. You can afford to test on a serious shoestring because
you‟re not printing anything out and there are no pictures to take.)
Although Etsy allows you to have multiple color options within a single 20¢ listing, I
prefer to have separate listings for each color.
It‟s better for SEO purposes if you can devote all of your tags to a single focus. Plus, it
makes your shop appear bigger, which definitely encourages deep browsing.
Earlier I mentioned that I go to the library and scan through the home decorating
magazines to see what‟s new with wall ware. Well I also use those magazines to see what
colors are hot.
Promoted listings
I have been using promoted listings for all of my Etsy shops, and yes, I do see a good
return on my investment.
A promoted listing is an ad that appears above the rest of the listings in a category AND
within the search results. They appear on each category or search page, not just the first
one.
71
As you can see from the screenshot below, there is a small tag marked “Ad” on the
promoted listings.
Promoted listings work just like a pay per click ads in that you only pay for the click
throughs to your Etsy shop. You decide on how much you want to pay per click.
You can choose which printables to feature as a promoted listing, or new items will
automatically be put into the promoted listing rotation.
Etsy has a basic analytics setup, allowing you to see:
 Number of impressions
 Number of clicks
 Cost for clicks received
 Direct sales revenue (customer ordered the product featured in the promoted
listing)
 Indirect sales revenue (customer ordered a different product than the one
featured in the promoted listing)
72
For my smaller shops, I‟ve always chosen to feature the listings that have received the
most orders.
But with a bigger shop (over 100 items to start) it‟s best to let all of the items rotate until
you see which ones receive the most likes or sales.
And if you have printables that match with specific holiday seasons (like hearts for
Valentine‟s Day), you‟ll definitely want to pause the others, and push the seasonal items.
